In 1966, Dr. Andrew Koran founded our practice. Back then, Saline was a much smaller town. Ann Arbor was far away, separated from Saline by miles and miles of family farms. The street out front was a dirt road and kids still attended the old Union School (now a robotics firm) up the street. Our office was home to an obstetrician, a dentist and later, an insurance agent.
After finishing his service in the Army, Dr. J. Michael Dibble purchased the practice from Dr. Koran in 1971. Dr. Koran left to become a professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, teaching hundreds of students the fine art of prosthodontics. Dr. Dibble worked tirelessly for thirty years, providing care to many families from Saline and beyond. He set a high bar and a standard of care which everyone in the office endeavors to achieve daily.
In 2001, Dr. Jennifer McFinton (who worked for Dr. Dibble when she was in college and who studied under Dr. Koran in dental school), joined our practice as a dentist. Woodland Family Dentistry was created when Dr. McFinton purchased the practice from Dr. Dibble. In 2017 and 2019, Dr. Margaret Watkins and Dr. Jaime Reichlmayr joined the practice and added more talented providers to our roster. Dr. Dibble has passed the torch to the next generation and we are proud to be the oldest dental office in Saline.
Things have changed quite a bit in Saline and Ann Arbor over the years, but our office stays committed to providing our patients and our community with exceptional care. Our doctors, and the entire Woodland Team volunteer with the Hope Dental Clinic, providing services to our neighbors in need. We were honored to be named by the Hope Clinic as the Office of the Year in 2016. Together, all of our doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrators continue the tradition of excellence into the new century.

I have been with this practice through quite a few iterations, beginning as a patient of Dr. J Michael Dibble in the 1970's and continuing to present day. The entire staff, from dentists to, technicians, to support staff are friendly, professional, thorough and considerate. They are my "dental family" and I've been traveling the 62 mile round-trip to see them since I moved away from Ann Arbor in the mid-1980s. Thank you for the past 45+ years...more to come.

I have been going here practically since I was born and it has always been an amazing experience. The staff is always super friends, I always get in quick, and my teeth look outstanding afterward. I would definitely recommend going here !

Kind, Helpful, Wonderfully Sensitive. My experiences with Woodland Family Dentistry highlight the value of excellent patient care, trust, and sensitivity. What can I mean by sensitivity? Well, all the members of my little family are patients here. From my two-year old, born with a cleft lip, to my four year old who is neurodivergent, and myself and my husband. Each of us has seen different, wonderfully kind hygienists, and Dr. McFinton as our dentist, and each time, I have been struck by how individualized the care has been for each of us. The team was so helpful when my two year old was having a hard time, and helped support us, didn't push him, and showed great thoughtfulness (thank you, Lauren!). My four year old had a great experience, which was a surprise to me (also huge thanks to Lauren!)! I owe that completely to the fact that they spoke with him throughout the process, and let him decline the cleaning with the loud (but of course, effective) device, to opt instead for a manual soft brush. All of our cleanings have been gentle, thorough, and pain-free, which is huge! For myself, my wonderful hygienist Jackie ensured such a positive experience. Dr. McFinton has been knowledgeable, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful with all of our different needs. Lori helped me tirelessly to reschedule appointments during a fall/winter marked by illness after illness for the kids, and always kept us in mind for cancellations. We even got my husband to his first dental appointment in 12 years! I truly can't say enough about this wonderful team, dedicated to the health and happiness of our family through their dental care. Thank you so much! We will be lifelong patients.

I've been a patient at Woodland for several years and have always had a good experience. They've helped me improve my at home care as well as provided purposeful medical suggestions, as needed. Tara is a wonderful and kind hygienist and Dr. McFinton is always patient and thorough.

The patient registration process was simple, the front desk staff, shout out to Laurel and Lori, were so kind and helpful, my hygienist Wendy was thorough and made me feel comfortable, and the dentist was friendly, down to earth, and kind. All around a well run practice with great people.

I have been a patient at Woodland Family Dentistry for about 10 years and I have only had wonderful experiences with them. Each dentist and hygienist is patient and explains their treatment thoroughly. They are gentle during their cleanings and cavity fillings and make sure their patient is comfortable. I have never experienced any pain during a filling with them and they even had extra headphones when I forgot mine. They always answer any questions I have. The ladies at the front desk are great as well, their scheduling is efficient and organized and check in and check out is always quick. I love Woodland Family Dentistry!

I've been going here since I was little, and I've always come out with a good experience. The dental hygienists there are very kind, and are excellent with children and adults alike. Recently, during the COVID pandemic, we've all been worried about hygiene, and in my most recent visit, they dealt with this extremely well. Everyone was wearing face guards, wearing multiple layers of garments, and taking every precaution to provide a clean and safe environment. Overall, Woodland Family Dentistry provides a clean, safe, and friendly experience when getting your teeth cleaned or a cavity filled. I would recommend them to anyone.

My family + I have been going to Woodland Family Dentistry for as long as I can remember. The hygienists here are so gentle + provide great care. The dentists have changed throughout the years but the attention to doing good work has not. I changed dentists for a brief time but returned to Woodland Family Dentistry because of the above statements. They are professionals I can trust.

I absolutely love going to Woodland Family Dentistry. I have never felt this way about anywhere else I have went. The staff is always friendly and courteous and Cristy does an amazing pain-free job while cleaning my teeth.

My family and I have been going to Woodland Family Dentistry for as long as I can remember, and we couldn't be more happy with our experience. Dr. McFinton and the rest of the crew are incredibly welcoming, smart, and friendly, and their hospitality has made going to the dentist less of a chore and more of something I find myself looking forward to every couple of months. I would absolutely recommend checking them out if you're new to the area or looking for a new dentist.
