As many of you have inquired about my retirement plans, l shared my intentions of handing down my practice to my son who was considering an orthodontic residency. After very thoughtful consideration, my son has made a decision to not pursue Orthodontics, but to continue in the field of dentistry.
In recent years, I have been approached by several Orthodontists, both private and corporate entities, to sell my practice. I have great love and appreciation for my patients, families, and my staff. For these reasons it has been my focus to find someone that truly cares about the patients, families, and staff as much as I do.
Dr.Daya Bhat, aka Dr.B is a Board Certified Orthodontist who herself comes from a family of dentists. She has been in the field of dentistry since 2001 and brings with her years of experience. She got her DDS as well as Post Graduate degree in Orthodontics and Orofacial Orthopedics from the University of Illinois in Chicago where she was involved in extensive research and was the recipient of the International Association of Dental Research Award. She took the initiative to get additional training in specialized courses during and after her Residency. Her love for nature brought her to the state of Washington a few years ago. She genuinely cares for her patients and strives to provide the best treatment for each and everyone in her care. She speaks 4 different languages other than English including Spanish, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. She is a Yoga teacher, she loves to meditate, she dabbles in painting and loves to explore the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest!! She is very excited to meet and work with you all!
As for me, I will be continuing to practice until Dr. Bhat and myself have had time to review treatment plans for all patients and to ensure a smooth transition. My staff will stay and continue to take excellent care of you!!
I want you to know that I have loved being your Orthodontist and I thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives. I am very appreciative of the trust and support you have given me and it is my hope that you will continue that relationship with Dr. B.

Are you looking for an orthodontist in the Woodinville area? I found one for you! Dr Bhat has treated me for the past three years and she is wonderful, and she is a true professional! She is warm and caring. She is invested in your outcome and treatment, as well as honest and upfront about it. I have been traveling from Mason County for most of the duration of my treatment. She and her staff are worth it! I have come to the end of my braces journey, and I will miss her. I am grateful for my new beautiful smile and bite!

I can't say more amazing things about this place and Dr. B! I had a lot of work that needed to be done that normally would have needed surgery along with Ortho work. But Dr. B was so precise and knew exactly what she was doing and i couldn't be happier with how my teeth look! Dr. B definitely knows Ortho work and I'd recommend them to anyone who needs Ortho care.

I only have great things to say about Dr. Bhat and Woodinville Orthodontics! Everyone in this practice is genuinely welcoming and happy to see you each time you walk in the door. Whether you are a young child or an older adult, the entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and they explain what they will be doing with your treatment each step of the way. They are very "Covid careful" and have gone to great lengths to ensure their patients are as protected as possible. Dr. Bhat has invested in new equipment with the latest technology, so now the process of being measured and fitted with Invisalign trays is much more precise. For the patient, this means the trays are more comfortable and will move your teeth into position more accurately. To help children feel more relaxed (and make adult patients smile!) they have given appropriately funny human names to some of the larger and noisier pieces of equipment. Their office is in a super convenient location right in the middle of downtown Woodinville. The most important reason I would highly recommend Woodinville Orthodontics and "Dr. B" and her staff is because they seem to truly care about the well being of their patients first. (One time Dr. B asked me if I had time to have my lunch...which is a bit ironic as she is so hardworking that I'm pretty sure she often has to work through her own lunch!) This is not an "in and out" braces factory but instead is a highly personalized experience for each patient. Dr. Bhat takes time to double check and fine tune your treatment to achieve the very best outcome possible. The positive, welcoming atmosphere and the personalized, professional care at Woodinville Orthodontics makes this an exceptional practice. I would highly recommend it to people of all ages!

Dr. B is great! She gets along well with my daughter and patiently explains all procedures. She is also super flexible for appointment schedule. We feel confident and comfortable to take treatment for our daughter. Highly recommending for orthodontic work.

My kids & I are patients here. I feel that we are very lucky to be under Dr Bhat's care. When she took over, I was informed of a longer timeframe than what I was previously given. I am actually thankful for that. She explained the things that needed to happen before my treatment can be completed, and it made complete sense. She is very detailed and a perfectionist. And isn't that what we want? That's why we get braces in the first place, to get a smile as close to perfect as possible. She has also pointed out some possible bone loss that showed up in my X-ray so I'm able to address the problem. As for my daughter who has a more complicated case, she made sure to coordinate with my daughter's dentist. She called the dentist to discuss details with what's going on, and to agree on what their plan of action should be. Orthodontic care aside, I can see that she cares about my children's well being as a whole. The whole team there is great! They connect to us on a personal level, so I don't mind going in for all my adjustments at all because the environment is very friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Bhat and Woodinville Orthodontics provides absolutely excellent care and has gone above and beyond in every way in my daughter's orthodontic treatment. Dr. Bhat has repeatedly and diligently (and on her own time) worked to connect with our other providers (oral surgeon and dentist) to coordinate and clarify treatment to be sure all are on the same page. Dr. Bhat has checked on and returned calls during the evening hours (long after her work day should have ended) to answer questions or help coordinate other treatment. She took time (long past what was planned) to provide a secure temporary pontic so that my daughter felt comfortable returning to college for months without embarrassment of removable tooth. Dr. Bhat cares about her patients and does everything she can to provide excellent short term and long term outcomes for them and I cannot recommend her enough! She has exceeded our expectations by far. Thank you, Dr. Bhat!

Highly recommended! Dr. Daya Bhat is warm, highly experienced (she's qualified here and overseas) and multi-lingual as well. I'm so glad I found her and if you have children, she's a natural with them. As an adult in her fifties, I've wanted aligners for a long time and was very tempted by the cheap options out there like Smile Direct etc. as I've had friends who've used services like that with decent results. I'm so glad I went to Dr. Bhat instead! I would have completely wasted my money going the "discount" way, because in my case, as I suspected, my teeth were more problematic. I've got sensitive and receding gums, a missing tooth which I will have replaced (get the aligners first!!), a large and stubborn gap between my front teeth, crowded mouth and other quirks. Dr. Bhat was completely honest and told me what I could actually expect and how she would work with me over the next 18 months. I had gone to a scan-and-post service and they'd promised me the moon - and quickly. They could have done a ton of damage. My insurance company is happier, too. I want healthy teeth for a long, long time. I have a great dentist and now, an excellent orthodontist. Her staff are lovely, as well. I feel very well cared for. Excellent Covid measures, too.

This has been a rough year, with the pandemic shutdown, reopening with so many limitations, and the staff changes that have occurred at Woodinville Orthodontics. But through it all Dr. Bhat has worked diligently to provide both of my sons excellent care, and she has gone above and beyond to communicate with me and coordinate treatment with the dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Bhat!

I am a longtime patient of Dr Wagners (braces placed 2006, removed 2009) and was having an issue with my permanent bottom retainer- I was SO pleased with Dr. Bhat, her staff, and their care for me. I will continue to highly recommend this office for orthodontic care!

Most of these ratings just have been before the practice was purchased by the new orthodontist. She never read the established treatment plan for my kids when she transitioned in, never followed up with our dentist when she had coordination to do, is scheduled out months in advance, is only open four days a week, and doesn't return phone calls. My kids haven't had an adjustment in 6 months because of these problems and were supposed to have their braces off months ago - instead we're looking at keeping them on for who knows how long. She isn't warm or welcoming or reassuring, which adds stress to kids who are already feeling vulnerable and uncertain. Overall it's been a terrible experience.
