Dr. Mike Wygant is a native of the Camarillo area, growing up in Somis and graduating from Camarillo High. He attended the University of California at Santa Barbara graduating with a degree in Biochemistry and spent time in the biotech industry after college doing research. After considering going back to school for medicine, he was particularly drawn to dentistry after spending several years volunteering time in clinics gaining a foundation of knowledge that has helped him to this day.
Dr. Wygant received a masters degree from University of California at Los Angeles in physiology where he worked as a teaching assistant while conducting research in the dental field. From there, he attended dental school at the top ranked dental school in the US according to QS World university rankings, the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He excelled at clinical dentistry while completing several externships in various community clinics. He received a scholarship from the US Army and subsequently returned to California to serve as a dentist to fulfill his commitment. He then transitioned into civilian life and returned to Camarillo where he has been working around Ventura and Santa Barbara counties furthering his dental skills.
Dr. Wygant has completed a yearlong externship in implantology in affiliation with NYU and DentalXP and holds a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He believes that dentistry is a constantly evolving field and is excited about many of the newer technologies that digital dentistry offers which can aid in treatment planning and delivering beautiful artistic dentistry. He wants to be on the cutting edge of dental technology which can both drive down costs and deliver superior long-term results.
He lives locally in Camarillo with his wife, Carolin, and their 2 children. Carolin is a native of Germany and they enjoy visits to her family in beautiful Bavaria on their holidays. In his spare time, Dr. Wygant likes to stay active. He plays soccer regularly, enjoys woodworking, biking, camping, hiking in the local hills, and enjoying all the beautiful Camarillo community has to offer.

I had the best experience! It's cozy and the staff is very nice. The doctor explains things really well and is very thorough. I am usually petrified at the dentists office and was able to get a couple fillings today with out panicking due to the staff's kind encouragement! Keep it up!!

Really appreciate Doc and his staff! He's a great dentist and his staff are really talented and so nice. Really have to give him a shout out this time especially. I experience neurological issues that cause facial pain and I couldn't tell if the problem I was experiencing was dental or neurological, but it was SATURDAY! Doc came in and saw me anyway! Turns out it was both...He referred me to a really great neurologist as I hadn't found one in the local area since I moved here, and he and his very kind office staff got me thru the root canal this morning and did a really great job of it.

I love this place! Very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Wygant ( my new honey!) is very professional and I love that's he very easy to talk to. I highly recommend this office- I like the fact that they are up on all the new technologies. I highly recommend.

I came in as a first time patient and overall had a great experience. I had my x-rays taken and got my teeth cleaned after much negligence. Dr. Wygant took his time to explain and develop a treatment plan suited for me. The hygienist was wonderful and left my teeth feeling clean and without discomfort. I look forward to my future dental appointments.

I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and the hygienist did a wonderful job. In addition, Dr. Wygant looked at an issue I had with a sensitive front tooth. And, just like that, he diagnosed and gave me a few options for treatment. I very much appreciate Woodcreek Dental. They are prompt, courteous, and professional.
