We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

They all focus on the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, teens and those with special needs.

A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.

We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their cavities fixed but rather to prevent them. Our mission is to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry encourages parents and other care providers to help every child establish a dental home by 12 months of age. Establishing a dental home provides some key components to dental care for your child including...

Drs. Rick, Greg, Wafa, Nick and Jared, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child in by his or her first birthday establishing your child 's 'dental home.'

Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a lap-examination (where your babys head will rest on our doctors lap while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctors chair.

Normally the first tooth erupts between ages 6 to 12 months. Gums are sore, tender and sometimes irritable until the age of 3. Rubbing sore gums gently with a clean finger, the back of a cold spoon or

While your baby is teething, it is important to monitor the teeth for signs of baby bottle decay. Examine the teeth, especially on the inside or the tongue side, every two weeks for dull spots (whiter than the tooth surface) or lines. A bottle containing anything other than water and left in an infants mouth while sleeping can cause decay. This happens because sugar in the liquid mixes with bacteria in dental plaque, forming acids that attack the tooth enamel. Each time a child drinks liquids containing sugar, acids attack the teeth for about 20 minutes. When awake, saliva carries away the liquid. During sleep, the saliva flow significantly decreases and liquids pool around the childs teeth for long periods, covering the teeth in acids.

Use a toothbrush with soft bristles and a small strip of fluoride toothpaste, unless the child is under the age of 3. If a child is younger than age 3, parents should clean their childs teeth with water and a soft-bristled toothbrush. After age 3, parents should supervise brushing. Use no more than a pea-sized amount of toothpaste and make sure children do not swallow excess toothpaste.

When you brush your teeth, move the brush in small circular motions to reach food particles that may be under your gum line. Hold the toothbrush at an angle and brush slowly and carefully, covering all areas between teeth and the surface of each tooth. It will take you several minutes to thoroughly brush your teeth. Brush up on the lower teeth, down on the upper teeth and the outside, inside and chewing surface of all of your front and back teeth. Brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth before you rinse.

I started bringing my kids to see Dr Rick when they were each three years old. That was 17 years ago and I have never had a bad experience. It will be a little sad when my daughter turns 18 and we move on from the world of pediatric dentistry. I would recommend Dr Rick and his practice to anyone with children. Ashley S.

My children have been patients of Dr. Beinlich since we moved to Minnesota eight years ago and we are always so happy with the choice we made to have him as our dentist. Two of my children are now adults and have moved on to adult dentists, but we all have a special place in our hearts for Dr. Beinlich and the amazing staff!

They were very rude when I told them we had to cancel the appointment because my child was sick. The receptionist got an attitude about it and told me I had to find a new dentist for my child

My grandkids think it's the best place to have fun! (Where were you when my kids were little?) We go to the Woodbury location and always look forward to seeing the friendly staff. Thanks for making dental visits a happy place for kids and not a chore for me!

Dr Rick and team are hands down the absolute best. High quality care, patience, and knowledge. Super grateful I was referred to their practice.

The customer service is horrific. Industry standard is to send a reminder the day before or so for appointments. The reminder is usually in the form of an automated phone call or text message. This place instead gives a reminder email 2 HOURS beforehand. At 6am. If someone is sleeping, would they be checking their email?!? They called us 15 minutes into the first appointment asking when we would like to reschedule, but had no openings for months for both of our children. My wife asked if she could still make the second appointment, and was told if she makes it there by the time, we would be good, so she's rushing out the door in a hectic state trying to get our kiddo to the office on time. Once she arrived she was told they would not be seeing her and the dentist was kicking them out of the system. First, to the young woman behind the counter, learn to tell the difference of someone in a stressed out rush talking with exasperation versus someone personally attacking you, learn how to deal with stressed out customers, you know, since you are the front desk! Second. If y'all were't going to actually let our kid into the appointment, why say we can get her in, and waste all the stress and time driving at the gas prices being $5 a gallon!!

They made me cry. The customer service is lacking. Most places give a reminder the day before or so for appointments. The reminder is usually in the form of an automated phone call or text message. This place gives a reminder email two hours beforehand. Normally that wouldn't make the ranking this low as I understand it is ultimately my job to remember when my appointment is. They called me 15 minutes into my first child's appointment asking when I would like to reschedule. This phone call did wake me up and they were trying to figure out when I could come in but had no openings for months for both of my children. I asked if I rushed there if I could still make the second appointment. They said only if I was there in thirteen minutes. I ended up being six minutes late. I was then pulled aside with my child to be told I'm a terrible human being for treating the staff so awfully. The thing is I don't really know what I did. I am sure I was very rushed on the phone and not have the most gentle tone but I didn't accuse the person who called me of anything or cursed at her. I also only drove there because they said if I made it in time I would be seen. Now I was stressed out that morning and I did have my phone on me while I was yelling at my kids and husband to get going but I didn't really say much directly to the person on the phone. I apologized to the person at the desk for hurting their feelings which I would have also done on the phone had I known I had upset her. I even called later that day to apologize. Anyway being told I am an awful human being in front of my child really hurt me and that is the reason for this ranking.

My son, who is 12yo now, has been seeing Dr. Richard Baylon for many years. Before seeing Dr. Richard Baylon, my son had seen several doctors with some traumatic experiences to my son, and myself as well. I am very fortunate to be able to find a doctor who, in my opinion, should be the standard for ALL pediatric doctors. Not only he is gentle and kind, but he has great philosophy and understanding of children's needs and views. His team is great as well, and they are reflection of Dr. Baylon's. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Richard Baylon.

Wonderful dental office! Dr. Rick is wonderful with my kids! After our old office recommended Pediatric Dentistry for my youngest to have a filling done, we decided to transfer all three kids to Pediatric Dentistry. My other two loved it! Very happy with the service.

We had to start taking our daughter to the dentist because of a mouth injury when she was 13 months - Woodbury Pediatric Dentistry has been nothing but the best. Extremely friendly, professional and amazing with kids. We've seen multiple providers and they've all been great. Highly recommend.

Everything was great until I went to schedule the next appt. My son is a new patient here. I called many offices asking one main question can we schedule out appts on Fridays because that is my only option at this time. I was told we have 1 Dentist in the office on Fridays so we can not make the consultation on Friday but we can schedule the rest of the appts on Friday. This was going to be just fine, until the receptionist told me to be seen on Friday I would have to go to another office because she scheduled me with the dentist that was not in office on Fridays. Had I known that I would have requested the other dentist. I didn't know which one was available there Fridays I just let her know I needed to be seen Fridays and expected with her knowing that she would schedule me with that person. To make it worse the receptionist told me oh yeah I was the person you talked to I remember you asking about Fridays but you were not specific about those limitations. I do not understand how I was not specific. Now I may need to schedule a duplicate appt with the other dentist before my son can get his cavities filled.

We are new patients at Woodbury Pediatric Dentistry and we had a great experience for our first visit. I have a 7 yr old and a 2 yr old. They recommended back to back appointments since it was the youngest's first appt. and suggested it would help if she could watch her sister. Ahead of the appt., the front desk staff were attentive and followed up with our previous dentist's office for transfer of records. They were also very patient with my questions. We arrived a few mins ahead of our appt and were advised to come in. We checked in and were immediately called back. The hygienist, Katie, spent lots of time talking through her steps and taking good care of both girls. She was also understanding when they got a little antsy waiting to see the dentist, Dr. Jared. He was very kind and attentive and spent time answering my questions about our inevitable future in orthodontics. The kids were very excited to get to use the prize tokens following their visit. The office is a nice size, the location is very convenient for us, and the staff could not have been more pleasant. We're looking forward to our future visits.

The hygienists, dentists, and staff are amazing. My boys (3 and 7) love coming to get their "teeth counted". Even the 3 year old let's them do X-rays and scrape his teeth. They are so gentle and kind. And the treasure toys at the end are their favorite part. Dr Greg is so great with the kids and knowledgeable and professional.

Every staff member has been amazing with all my kids. Whether they were nervous, full of energy or scared the hygienists and dentists all use great strategies to calm and ensure that my kids have a ton of fun. All of them love to go to the dentist and are more willing to take care of their teeth at home.
