Dr. Steve Wood would like to welcome you to Wood Orthodontics! Dr. Woods family has been in the Weatherford, Texas area for 130 years! Growing up in Texas and watching his father do orthodontics, Dr. Wood decided that he would like to follow in his fathers footsteps and help the people of Texas achieve their perfect smile.
Dr. Wood is the definition of a family man! He loves to spend time with his wife and his four beautiful children. He is also quite the athlete. Dr. Wood was an All-American swimmer who qualified for the 1980 and 1984 USA Olympic Swimming Trials while attending Auburn University while getting his bachelors.
He is still a competitive swimmer and has also set more than 20 Master Swimming World Records! Dont challenge him to a race! Dr. Wood and his family love the outdoors and love to stay active by cycling and running. Coincidentally he is also a big fan of woodworking!
Dr. Wood is very dedicated to his career as an Orthodontist and loves being able to serve the people of Weatherford, Texas. He loves to serve his community by being on committees, being in clubs, and being a part of the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Wood loves our community so much that he was nominated and awarded Weatherford Citizen of the Year in 2007.
Dr. Wood takes pride and enjoys helping all of his patients evolve to a place where they love their smiles and are more self-confident. You wont find another person as dedicated to helping you have a perfect smile and helping the people of this town as much as Dr. Wood.

Carman has been a Weatherford resident since 1993. She has 5 children and 7 grandchildren, and ismarried to Tim who is a salesman at Jerrys Chevrolet. She enjoys crafts, sewing, and baking. In her spare time, she runs an online shop called The Golden Stitch Gifts with her daughter Kaleigh.
Heidi is a native of Mineral Wells and now resides close to her roots in Parker County. She spends her days solving problems you dont know you have, in ways you cant understandshe is our insurance guru! Heidi enjoys spending time with her Church family and friends.
Blanca is from Mineral Wells and is currently attending Weatherford College where she will be graduating in June! She is family oriented and enjoys exercising, camping, and spending time with her children Mason and Mia. Blanca is compassionate, dedicated, and has a positive attitude. She loves being outdoors camping and swimming as well as supporting her children in sports.
Nicole is originally from Findlay, OH, where she was raised until she left for college in Norfolk, VA. She relocated to Texas while working for a major airline. She then decided to close that chapter and pursue a career in the dental field. Nicole got her RDA license from Texas Academy of Dental Assisting in 2020. When she is not at work, she is spending time with her family at home or watching her kids rodeo. On the rare occasion, you can catch her nose deep, lost in a book.

We had our initial consult today with Dr. Wood and his incredible staff. Within 30 seconds, we felt like we were a part of the family! Absolutely amazing!!!

I absolutely will recommend and refer friends and family to Dr. Wood. He is very thorough upon his treatment recommendations. His staff is very informative. They are always willing to answer any questions with out hesitations. They make you feel at home. I do not mind making the 45 minute drive. I have had an extraordinary experience with his office.

All the staff at Wood Orthodontics is always so friendly. Heidi is such a joy to be around and great at answering all of our questions. Dr. Wood is great with my 11 year old daughter Lily! So glad we chose him for our Orthodontic needs!

Dr Wood and his staff are absolutely the best!! My son was probably the most irresponsible patient Dr Wood has ever had. I know he wanted us to just throw in the towel and let him take the braces off. I didn't want to give up and so Dr Wood stuck with us and we finally made it to perfect, straight, white teeth. Well now the dog ate the bottom retainer so here we go with the final stage. Dr Wood fixed the retainer so we'll try to make it with these but we're not out if the "Woods" yet. Thank you Dr Wood and staff for putting up with us all this time and remaining the ultimate professionals. You and your staff are the BEST!! Thank You, Matt Moseley

We love Dr. Wood and his helpful staff! He is personable, professional, and comes highly recommended. There are several orthodontists that are closer to us, but as a parent I gladly drive further to get the best care around! Kudos to such a friendly staff, too!

Dr. Wood's is the Best! From the office staff, helping find the perfect appointment, or simply responding to my text because I forgot when our next appointment is, to the assistants explaining how things work and being very fast and efficient with my son's braces. I feel that I can not say enough about Dr. Wood to let everyone know how this man operates his business is top notch. His care and compassion for his clients and his staff, and of course his excellent work, really make us All smile! Thank you. Yet again, Wood Orthodontics, continues to show me how the world should operate. With the doc himself, helping me understand even the simplest of things, with a caring and kind tone. AND, I don't think his staff get enough recognition for the amount of every day office stuff that goes on. The girls at the front desk, OMG, kisses to them. They keep that office working and running like a well oiled machine. I could go on forever just know that Wood Orthodontics is top-of-the-line, just a super fabulous, business. Thank you for all that you do and I will be happy to tell the world that even though I am not the patient I leave there ALL SMILES!

Having braces in your 30s isn't fun, but Dr. Wood and his amazing staff have always been kind and caring. I've never seen a doctor who cares so much about his patients and their lives. I moved over an hour away and didn't switch practices because I knew I'd never find another doctor like Dr. Wood. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
