Dr. Kara Sumbera completed her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University where she graduated with honors. She received her dental training from the nationally ranked University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio
Dr. Sumbera believes strongly in staying up to date with the latest techniques and technology dentistry has to offer. In taking numerous continuing education courses per year, she is able to provide dentistry that maximizes comfort and superioroutcomes for her patients. Dr. Sumbera has studied at the acclaimed Dawson Academy, Spear Institute, and Zimmer Institute. Caring for patients like family and creating lasting long term relationships with them is a top priority. I want patients to feel comfortable when coming for a visit. I want them to know a healthy, beautiful smile is possible says Dr. Sumbera.
Dr. Sumbera is a past board member of the Houston Academy of General Dentistry and has held membership in the Seattle Study Club. She currently has professional memberships with the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and the Houston Academy of General Dentistry.
When outside of the office, Dr. Sumbera loves to spend time with her husband and three children. From the simple outdoor driveway bike adventure to fun family vacations, she loves to create family memories. The Sumberas are actively involved with their church home, The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

Dentist and assistance team are good, the environment is peaceful but my temporary crown came off after 4 days and the staff was not willing to stay an extra 30 minutes to allow me to come in and get it glued back on until Tuesday, when I've been in pain since Saturday. Google clearly states that are open until 5p.m. Sherry in the front office said the close at 4:30 on Monday due to COVID, which makes no sense and said there's nothing she can do after I told her I'm in pain. A usual temporary crown lasts me two weeks before it comes off. Took 2 vacation days already for my treatments and asked if I could run in after work which is 4:30 and get there by 4:45 since I live 12 miles away. Going to find another dentist who is more flexible with extended hours on weekdays and open on Saturdays to finish out my dental work. Spending $1,000 out of pocket on top of insurance for the two visits I have and they are still not able to make one accommodation even though their hours still state they are open until 5 online. I have a very tight schedule and therefore will just have to glue it back on with drugstore cement until my last appointment on February 9th and hope my tooth still stays intact for two more weeks. Disappointed is an understatement.

Have been going there for a very long time. They are honest and do excellent work - no scamming or bilking the Ins company for terrible work. You really need to trust your dentist, because the consequences have long time effects. Everyone in that office is nice, competent and has the patient's best interest at heart.
