Dr. Richie Lerias is a family man who has always had a passion for health sciences. Growing up in a family highly involved in the medical field, he knew that he wanted to pursue something in the field that worked closely with people.
After he graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago - College of Dentistry, he then took on a general practice residency through the hospital program at Loyola University Medical Center. Before he started at Wood Dale Dental, he worked in pediatric dentistry further developing his passion in working with kids and adults. Dr. Lerias has been practicing dentistry since 2002, and began working at this practice in 2010. He treats his patients as family and loves getting to spend that one-on-one time with the people of the community.
Dr. Lerias and his wife, have one child. He loves spending time with his family and traveling to new places with them. A big fan of sports, particularly tennis, one of his life goals is to travel to all four tennis grand slam tournaments. Currently, he has been to two and he hopes to get to the others as well. Of course, living in Illinois, he is also a big fan of Chicago sports (Cubs, Bulls and Bears).
In Dr. Lerias spare time, he enjoys volunteering at Misericordia, a home for children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. This is a heartfelt topic for Dr. Lerias, as his sister is an adult with special needs. He is thankful for his close relationship with his sister and the role that she has played in bringing his family closer together. Volunteering his time once a month at Misericordia, he is able to support his mission of helping children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Dr. Lerias is a wonderful dentist! He really cares about me and my family. He always asks if you are doing okay during cleanings and treatments. Their office is also extremely clean and was recently renovated.

Dr. Richie V. Lerias, has the golden heart for all four of my family members. He and the staff members are very friendly, caring, listening to the problems and helpful toward my family, all of them are the angels to my family. I used to go about 10 different offices, and this office is super clean and high tech. Whenever, I extract my teeth, I never feel any pain while he put the juice to numb my teeth. I would recommend others to visit this office, even though it is more than one hour from my house to here. If I move to other state, I will not change my dentist at all, because all my family members are always feel warm welcome by Dr. Richie V. Lerias and his staff members....

Horrible experience dirty office I would not even send a dog to get their teeth checked. We walked out before even seeing the doctor because of how the office looked stay away unless you want infected teeth.

I mean I'd rate 10 stars if I could. These people are incredible. THIS IS WHAT A DENTIST SHOULD BE LIKE. Trustworthy, patient, flexible with scheduling, the list goes on. I am a customer for life, and will be referring every single person I know to this dentist. I hope you read this review and take my advice, it'll change your opinion about dentists. Doctor was always very nice, and so was Elizabeth the receptionist. Today I called to make an appointment for my daughter for a cleaning and filling and she told me April. So I just mentioned to her I was going to go do the filling at smiletown dental to get in sooner, and she got very upset. Saying "So make an appointment at Smiletown dental and they can do your cleaning there too!" she kept saying they are double booked like it's my fault. Sorry you had a bad day Elizabeth.

Dr. Lerias deserves waaaaaay more than 5 stars! He is so patient, so kind and actually cares! I would never go anywhere else. We started seeing him about 8 years ago when we were looking for a dentist for my 5 year old daughter and has become our family dentist. He has helped with so much for my daughter and now we are on a journey of my own. I can't thank him and his staff enough for the kindness, comfortability and ease they give me. I don't know how I would ever trust any other dentist. I refer everyone to his office. You are the best Dr. Lerias!

I feel honored to have been an patient of Dr. Lerias for many years. I avoided seeing a dentist for years due to fear. I found Dr.Lerias in the early 2000's and have never regretted it. He has a great demeanor and truly cares. I would never have thought I would look forward to a dental appointment but the Staff and Dr.Lerias are simply amazing. I can't thank them all enough.

I've been a patient at Wood Dale Dental for a few years now, and I would not consider going elsewhere. Dr. Lerias is an excellent doctor with a caring, easy going bedside manner. The office staff is incredibly friendly! Billing is easy and I'm in and out in no time.

These guys are great. Unlike alot of my past dentists, WD Dental is very flexible and when I missed an appt unintentionally, I got no hassle just an invite to reschedule. Dr. is very friendly and frank.

When i say i fear dentists, i fear them. When i had an infection in both wisdom teeth the pain was horrible and my friend referred me here. He was amazing, patient and honestly the best ever. I cant thank him enough! I recommend here 100% and i am forever grateful and will continue going here thank you Dr!!!

I am giving my experience with Dr. Richie Lerias and his team five stars only because I couldn't give them ten! A month ago I was in an urgent need of dental help. My dental office (to which I am not going back, sorry XYZ Dental!) like many others was closed due to COVID-19. From the social media my wife found that Wood Dale Dental is open during the quarantine. I've made a call and was scheduled for an appointment immediately. The professionalism, dedication and attention of Dr. Lerias, of the office manager Elizabeth and of the assistant Emily are second to none! Guys, you are simply amazing! Also, right now I can not think of more dangerous medical field than dentistry. This is the front-line of the front-line in a viral pandemic that spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person just open his/her mouth... OMG, everybody in Wood Dale Dental, you are awesome, you are heroes and hank you for being so brave! Thanks again and God bless!
