Thefee foryour endodontic treatmentwill be based on the extent of treatment. Duringyour first visit we will discuss the probably number of visits, their length, and the fees involved. While we do recognize the unique natureof our practice and the specialized kinds of cases we treat, it is our policy to work with you as much aspossible in order toensure your treatment works for you financially. We will ask for your cooperation in providing all necessary insurance information in order to better educateyou on your financial responsibility. Woo Endodonticswill work with most insurance carriersin order to lessen your initial out-of-pocket expense; however, we do require your estimated patient portion in full at the time your treatmentis completed.
Dr. Nelson Woo was born in Augusta, GA to Eugene and Lynne Woo as one of five children.He grew up as the middle child with three brothers and a sister, moving on to study at the University of Georgia and graduating with a bachelors degree in Biology from Augusta State University in 1993.From there, he attended the Medical College of Georgia and achieved his certification as a nuclear medicine technologist in 1996.After completing the nuclear medicine technologist certification, Dr. Woo started dental school, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2000.
Upon graduating, Dr. Woo practiced with his cousin, Dr. Grant Loo, in Augusta for a year before moving to Atlanta.He practiced in several offices before deciding to start his own independent practice in 2006.Over the ten years that Dr. Woo practiced as a General Dentist, he had the opportunity to treat many patients with root canal therapy.During this time, he discovered that he enjoys performing root canal therapy and wanted to learn how to treat the more complex cases that many patients have.In 2010, he was accepted to the endodontic residency program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and obtained his certificate in endodontics in June of 2012.After he passed the written part of the national boards, he became board eligible.While only 21% of endodontists have gone through this rigorous process, Dr. Woo always enjoys taking as much continuing education as possible for both endodontics and general dentistry in order to keep up with the latest technology and advancements in the field.
In his spare time, Dr. Woo enjoys nearly anything outdoors.He was very involved with tennis and played in the ALTA (Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association) until he had shoulder surgery, which has limited his playing time.He also enjoys fishing, crabbing, and kayaking, and is a University of Georgia football fan.Dr. Woo currently resides in Marietta, GA, with his wife Michelle and children.
Dr. Huffer grew up in Aiken, SC. He attended the University of South Carolina where he received his BS in Chemical Engineering and then attended the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine where he obtained his DMD. He completed a GPR at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS and did his post-doctoral training in endodontics at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He has practiced as an Endodontist in Columbia, South Carolina since 2013.

All my life I have had issues with my teeth. Dr Woo is the best Endodontics doctor that I have ever met without a doubt. I will never trust anyone else!

What an incredible experience! I never thought I would ever describe a Root Canal like that, but it is true. I was apprehensive about getting my first root canal, for a "problem" tooth which might not be salvageable. Dr. Woo worked diligently on two different appointments to find the canal and save my tooth. He is SO talented...a true genius. All without too much pain! I greatly appreciate all of his efforts to help. He, as well as his dental assistant and office staff, truly cared about me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this office!

I was in so much pain and they got me in FAST, so I'm now pain free after 2 root canals! The whole staff is amazing and Dr Woo does a fabulous job! BIG bonus points for having TVs with Netflix above the chairs so getting 2 root canals at once was a walk in the park being distracted by Love Is Blind This is my 2nd time using them and I'll never use anyone else! Highly recommend.

I was recommended to go to doctor Woo from Jamie anweiler from a local dentist I had to have 2 very challenging root canels and I honestly can't say enough about this place, the staff has you in the chair fast , super professional, and doctor WOO is the man with the plan they worked with my schedule i was for 2 root canels about 1 hour for each 2 different days and I honestly never felt anything super professional the best experience I've ever had, and I highly recommend doctor Woo, I would not just recommend but highly recommend you take your dental needs to this office staff and doctor.

I had a root canal about 6 months ago here. The experience was amazing. The procedure was so easy, I was shocked that I actually just got a root canal done. I had zero pain during any of it. Actually, getting an appointment for another root canal today. Looking forward to getting another tooth fixed :)

Dr. Huffer was great. I had zero pain during my root canal. Dr. Huffer and his assistant took the time to ensure I was comfortable during the procedure. I can not recommend this practice enough.

I was a difficult case. My root canal was "atypical". The kindness, patience, and expertise of this office made the root canal experience better than if it would of been done elsewhere. As much as I would never want a root canal again, I would come back here.

Dr. Woo and his staff were very professional and kind. Although we couldn't go through with the procedure I went in for, I worked with their office enough to know that I would definitely recommend them.

Had a root canal done today, my first. Needless to say I was a bit apprehensive seeing as I had had some bad experiences with other dentists before. As soon as I arrived, everyone made me feel at ease. Dr Cramer was absolutely wonderful. The whole procedure was painless and it made me a lot less afraid to have future dental work if needed. AWESOME is Dr. Nelson Woo, DMD, Endodontist in Holly Springs/Canton. He fit my emergency treatment in Monday afternoon. He's the gentleman who proved root canal should no longer be a scary nightmare He uses/does microscopic root canal therapy. He has nitrous (I think I used a tank or two due to anxiety/nerves) and headphones/tv - and a needed stress ball (so I didn't break the chair arm before anything was even done) AND all with a wonderful staff/assistants. The "profound anesthesia" that was used years back is no longer even an issue as there should be NO Profound pain, only minimal discomfort. His technique and ability is superb. About 15 years ago I had taken depositions in a dental malpractice case that involved root canals and it left me with too much information on the process, and that unfortunately left me with too much anxiety of what could go wrong. Combine that with childhood teeth breaking trauma and you have a stressed out wreck. Thank God, medicine and technology has progressed and ended up in the hands of Dr. Woo. From his superior xrays where he clearly explains the process, to his outstanding calm and understanding demeanor, I went from "off the charts" to might even be able to sleep when I go back for next appointment. (I have now been back for the final "fill" on my root canal - had to wait for the infection to clear up - - And still an amazing experience. I can't believe I'm totally ok after the visit! It was easier than I had hoped for) I'm known as sometimes a bit outspoken and direct; sometimes too much. Let me clearly say that this should should not only be on the top of your list for Endodontist, but is the ONLY one on my list. Thank you so very much to Dr. Nelson Woo and his entire team of wonderful people. One final note, please remember that many problems caused by "others" may not be easily remedied by the professional who follows. No matter how good someone may be professionally, there are always unknowns or anomalies. Things do happen, at times for no known reason and all we can do is say a prayer and see the most competent professionals available. Dr. Woo and his staff are the only "go to" for an endodontist.

I can't say enough about Dr. Woo and his entire staff. From the day you make the appointment until your procedure is complete everyone is so kind that you feel totally at ease. Dr. Woo is phenomenal. He is so talented and skilled at his profession. There is no pain including the shots. Ex rays are taken all through the process so ensure everything is going as planned. Nikita is by Dr. Woo's side the entire time and is ready with whatever he needs so everything goes as smoothly and as quick as possible. She is so sweet and a real professional. The hardest part of the whole experience was trying to laugh with the dental dam in your mouth and considering we are talking about root canals here that's really saying something. I would totally recommend Dr. Woo to anyone friend or family!
