Dr. Ryan's journey into dentistry started off with some apprehension. He was the young patient that needed to be tricked into going to the dental office and bribery was no match for his dental anxiety. Did we mention his dad, Dr. Woo, was his dentist? Despite these early years, at UC San Diego he was captivated by the combination of art, precision, and the relational nature of dentistry. He continued his studies to receive his DDS from UCLA School of Dentistry. More importantly, he met his now-wife, Dr. Grace, where they bonded over their mutual love for physical fitness and Costco perusing.
Dr. Ryan is passionate about utilizing cutting edge techniques and technology in dentistry to provide the best experience for our patients. He invests ample hours into receiving training that will make your visit both easy and comfortable and provide long-lasting results. Dr. Ryan focuses on hearing your voice and will spend dedicated time with you in order to develop an oral health plan that works for you!
Dr. Natividad (Nati) Anabu has been working with Dr. Woo for the past 27 years. Born and raised in the Philippines, she has her dental degree from both the Philippines and the United States. Patients especially appreciate her gentle touch when performing their dental work. Dr. Anabu is married with one grown son and speaks fluent Tagalog. She spends her spare time talking to her sisters, reading (especially interior decorating magazines), taking naps, and shopping for shoes.
Dr. Ronald Woo has been practicing general dentistry and restoring smiles in San Leandro for the past 40 years. He received his college degree from UC Berkeley and graduated from UCLA Dental School in 1980. Besides improving their oral health, the most gratifying part of dentistry for Dr. Woo has been the relationships formed with his patients over the years. He welcomes entire families, from young children to the elderly. He enjoys making patients feel at ease in the dental office by listening to their needs and providing treatment in a comfortable manner.
Dr. Woo is a native San Franciscan from the Richmond District, married for 41 years with 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren! He is an all year round sports fan of the Giants, 49ers, and Golden State Warriors. He likes being outdoors locally or traveling, whether it be hiking, bicycling, or camping. Dr. Woo is also active participating in his local church ministry.
Dr. Grace is ready to bring your smile to the next level! As our very own orthodontist specialist, she can help you get the smile you've been waiting for with clear aligner therapy. When she's not poking fun at Dr. Ryan at how he can improve his smile, she enjoys exercising and is always ready for a good burpee challenge. She also spends lots of time with Dr. Ryan and their daughter Summer exploring outdoor hikes and finding new products at Trader Joe's.
Julie is a registered dental assistant and has been with Dr. Woo the past 19 years. Her friendliness and smile keepthe patients coming back year after year. She is a San Lorenzo native, having graduated from Arroyo High and Western Career College's dental assisting program. Julie has adaughter, Nicole, who attends college. Julie is a devoted Oakland As fan and can be seen roaming the shopping malls when she has free time. She enjoys exploring the coast and has a goal to see all 21 California Missions -- she's up to 6!
Lily is a registered dental assistant and has been in the dental field for 15 years after graduating from the College of Alameda. Patients always enjoy Lilys soft spoken gentleness and comforting skills. Having been born in Canton, China, Lily can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taishan dialects. She has two kids and enjoys music (especially karaoke), reading, walking, and good foods!
Jennifer works with all the complexities of a patients dental insurance in the front office using her 10 years of dental experience. She was born and raised in San Francisco and is a Giants, 49er, and Golden State Warriors fan. Jennifer is bilingual speaking both English,Cantonese, and learning French! She loves to immerse herself in different cultures and trying new restaurants. Her prized possessions are her shoe and growing passport stamp collections. In her spare time, she enjoys tv/movie marathons, hanging out with her two dogs, working on becoming a better animal welfare advocate, and finding her next travel adventure.
Jenelle brings 10+ years of dental experience to your service as well as a bright personality to fill the room. She is the ultimate multi-tasker and can hold an in-depth conversation about veganism or beauty products, all the while providing painless dental x-rays or impressions. When she's fabricating a flawless temporary crown for you, ask her about her passion for cooking and health and you won't be disappointed! Outside the office, you can find her relaxing with her family and son Cameron.
