Thefee foryour endodontic treatmentwill be based on the extent of treatment. Duringyour first visit we will discuss the probably number of visits, their length, and the fees involved. While we do recognize the unique natureof our practice and the specialized kinds of cases we treat, it is our policy to work with you as much aspossible in order toensure your treatment works for you financially. We will ask for your cooperation in providing all necessary insurance information in order to better educateyou on your financial responsibility. Woo Endodonticswill work with most insurance carriersin order to lessen your initial out-of-pocket expense; however, we do require your estimated patient portion in full at the time your treatmentis completed.
Dr. Nelson Woo was born in Augusta, GA to Eugene and Lynne Woo as one of five children.He grew up as the middle child with three brothers and a sister, moving on to study at the University of Georgia and graduating with a bachelors degree in Biology from Augusta State University in 1993.From there, he attended the Medical College of Georgia and achieved his certification as a nuclear medicine technologist in 1996.After completing the nuclear medicine technologist certification, Dr. Woo started dental school, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2000.
Upon graduating, Dr. Woo practiced with his cousin, Dr. Grant Loo, in Augusta for a year before moving to Atlanta.He practiced in several offices before deciding to start his own independent practice in 2006.Over the ten years that Dr. Woo practiced as a General Dentist, he had the opportunity to treat many patients with root canal therapy.During this time, he discovered that he enjoys performing root canal therapy and wanted to learn how to treat the more complex cases that many patients have.In 2010, he was accepted to the endodontic residency program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and obtained his certificate in endodontics in June of 2012.After he passed the written part of the national boards, he became board eligible.While only 21% of endodontists have gone through this rigorous process, Dr. Woo always enjoys taking as much continuing education as possible for both endodontics and general dentistry in order to keep up with the latest technology and advancements in the field.
In his spare time, Dr. Woo enjoys nearly anything outdoors.He was very involved with tennis and played in the ALTA (Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association) until he had shoulder surgery, which has limited his playing time.He also enjoys fishing, crabbing, and kayaking, and is a University of Georgia football fan.Dr. Woo currently resides in Marietta, GA, with his wife Michelle and children.
Dr. Huffer grew up in Aiken, SC. He attended the University of South Carolina where he received his BS in Chemical Engineering and then attended the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine where he obtained his DMD. He completed a GPR at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS and did his post-doctoral training in endodontics at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He has practiced as an Endodontist in Columbia, South Carolina since 2013.

Dr. Woo and his staff are amazing. I was referred to him for a root canal by my dentist. While I was waiting for my appointment I started experiencing agonizing pain so I called Dr. Woo, it happened to be on a Sunday. He returned my call that evening and squeezed me in for an appointment the next day without any hesitation. I was so desperate that I thought about going to some random dentist and I'm definitely glad I didn't have to resort to that. The procedure was honestly a piece of cake. I didn't feel a thing and it was alot quicker than I anticipated. I can't thank them enough!

Had a root canal done today with Michael Huffer and had a great experience. I am 36 weeks pregnant and was very anxious. His assistant was so sweet and calming. I would recommend them to anybody, especially if you have dental anxiety.

I was so nervous and for no reason at all. Dr. Huffer and his assistant were awesome. I was there for an hour and 20 minutes; the entire procedure was totally painless; they repeatedly asked if I was okay; and, so importantly, they always kept me informed about what they were doing and what to expect afterwards. What a great team to have on my side. Thanks so much!!!

I highly recommend going to Dr. Woo the receptions and Staffing were very friendly I went and had a root canal Dr. Woo and his assistant explained everything step by step what I should do after my procedure and what I loved about Dr. Woo is that he found something and he said good for you bad for him but that's the reason why he's there to fix it and he did make sure you ask for Dr. Woo

Dr.Huffer Very nice guy. He was patient he made sure I was Comfortable. The stuff is really nice as well it was clean and smell good in the office. We need more Dr. Huffer around he is Awesome I really enjoy my visit there.
