Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies' recommendations.
Rebecca graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1999 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. Although currently not seeing patients, she can be found behind the scenes crunching the numbers for Dr. Ivan. She stays busy with their four children and in her early morning 'spare time' she loves to run, swim, and bike. She likes to bake and spend time outdoors with her family.
Kristi joins us with much experience as a dental hygienist. She's a local, her family having been in the area for many years. In her spare time she raises Christmas trees, keeps horses, reads, and otherwise loves to spend time outdoors.
Shelley has been assisting for more than 17 years, and has had broad exposure to many dentistry specialties. She returned to general dentistry because it provides the most interesting variety and because she enjoys 'educating patients of the importance of good dental health' and making them feel good about their smiles. Shelley is originally from Sweet Home. She enjoys the outdoors, spending much of her free time camping and hiking with family and friends.
Becca enjoys her work as a hygienist. After living in various regions of the US, she and her husband settled in the Willamette Valley to be near family and raise their 3 girls. She likes traveling, camping, water activities and reading. Care for others is important to Becca, and she believes good oral health has a significant impact on an individuals overall health, social acceptance and self esteem.
Kristy and her husband Bobby have been married for 16 years and have 3 amazing boys who are all very active in sports. When we are not at sporting events cheering on our boys we love to spend time together outdoors, camping and hiking. Kristy has been in the dental field for 14 years as a dental assistant/front office. Kristy believes a smile is the prettiest thing you can wear and strives to help our patients achieve that!
Shawna was born and raised in Sweet Home, where she still resides with her husband Fritz of 24 years. She joined the dental field after raising her two sons, Ricky and Robbie. Ricky is enrolled at OSU in the Marine Corps ROTC program, and Robbie is enlisted in the US Navy. She loves engaging with patients and making sure they are very well taken care of. Her positive, caring personality is a perfect for the dental field.

Excellent service and staff were amazing. Two crowns last week and no problems. Of course cost too high as a retired person. But dentist and md's were amazing. Got no reason to go elsewhere.

Very Friendly Staff and the dentist was very nice! Had a tooth filled and the dentist was very gentle! I have PTSD and get really nervous at the dentist. My hygienist is very gentle and reassuring. My dentist is also very gentle and kind. I highly recommend this office!

I have never had a pleasent dental experience in my life. It's almost always horribly painful and I have horrendous anxiety at the dentist. My blood pressure was 165/130 when I got there. I went here to get 2 teeth pulled out. During the process I mentioned that I do not well with needles. The office staff all the way to the Dr himself did a great job at calming me down. The first tooth was so smooth I didn't even know it was finished. The second took a minute but for how much they had to pull and tug to get it but it was pretty painless all together. They would do stuff and ask if I was doing alright, he checked around my face to make sure everything was numb. All in all this was the best dentist experience I've ever had. I'll only be going here for dental work in the future.

I have been with Dr. Wolthuis for 13 years. Everyone in his office is caring, friendly, and helpful. I would not trust my teeth with any one else. From preventative to restorative dentistry they are fantastic.

Living in three different states and having the opportunity to live in the city and country, my family and I have been to enough dentists over the past 25 years. Dr. Wolthius is top shelf when it comes to his professionalism, dentistry knowledge and scope of practice. He provides big city dentistry in the small town Sweet Home. We appreciate the convenience of not being required to leave town for oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. Dr. Wolthius does it all. I would like to thank the Wolthius dentistry office for taking great care of and my family

I would like to say THANK YOU Dr. Ivan and Shelly for giving me the smile that I've Always wanted. Ever since I was a kid I was embarrassed and ashamed of my smile. I had a low self esteem because of the way my teeth were. Thank you to ALL the people in the office and ALL the assistants that went out of their way to help me and to Shelly for going the extra mile to open the office after hours to assist me when my temporaries had issues staying on. The Wolthius family Dentistry is just that, they treat you like family and never let you leave their office feeling bad about yourself. Thank You

Love my new Dentist. After having my previous dentist of over 20 years retire, I was very apprehensive to try someone new. But Wolthuis Family Dental was fantastic. Kind, caring, and informative. Explained everything clearly upfront and suggested the treatment they felt was in my best interest. Actually listened to what I said and factored it into their recommendation. Cannot give them a high enough rating!
