I am an optimist who thrives in a busy environment, working behind the scenes and at the front to ensure a smooth day at the office. My co-workers are fantastic and make my day even better! As an Office Manager for several years, one thing that I cant get enough of is the sight of patients who have learned to love their smile again. I love helping people with any financial questions so that they can get the smile they deserve. When Im not at work, I enjoy being outdoors, riding ATVs with my husband Audie, and playing with my two kids, Abigail and Gavin.
Dr. Seuss, a wise philosopher, once said, Dont cry because its over; smile because it happened. Ive started several new journeys over the past few years, but at the close of one journey, I always appreciate everything Ive learned and jump headfirst into the next one. I wanted to be a Hygienist because I love getting to know new people and helping them focus on how oral health affects their overall health. Teeth may be small and contained in our mouths, but they can affect our entire bodies! I received my degrees in Dental Hygiene with a focus on healthcare policy and administration from Pennsylvania College of Technology, and love what I do to help patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. When Im not Chief Tooth Cleaner (self-titled), I enjoy spending time with my husband, Nate, my daughter, Edith, and my chihuahua, Annabelle. I also love long distance running, yoga, reading, and knitting.
Maya Angelou once said, Ive learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. As a dental hygienist, I strive to make my patients feel comfortable and content. I grew up in Altoona, PA, and moved to Hagerstown for the last 11 years, graduating with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from the PA College of Technology. With my degree, I knew I wanted to continue my education in the medical profession, so in 2008, I graduated with a bachelors degree in health policy and administration. I love the time I spend getting to know my patients, and making sure they are happy while I clean their teeth. When I am not working with my patients, I love to spend time with my family and kids. My two kids are involved in multiple activities including soccer, dance, and gymnastics. With another baby on the way, I am excited to continue my journey as a mother and a hygienist.
Mahatma Gandhi believed that You must be the change you wish to see in the world. As a dental assistant since 2004, right out of high school I knew I wanted to help others and be the change that I wanted to see. There are many ways to affect change in this world, and helping others with their smile felt like my calling from the moment I set foot in my first dental office. I loved helping others create their perfect smile. Dentistry is ever-changing, and I also love the opportunities to continue to learn and grow within the profession. There are always new and improved ways to help someone feel confident in their smile! When Im not making Gandhi proud, I love to spend time with my husband and two children, biking, swimming, and camping.
Being in the dental field has allowed me to get to know people, and for that Im grateful. There is nothing I love more than seeing a patient who lacks confidence suddenly learn to love themselves because they have gotten their smile back. As the patient coordinator and dental assistant at WADC, I get to first interact with patients every day up front, and then as an assistant, I get to know them on a deeper level. When Im not helping patients, I enjoy spending time with my pets, reading, or enjoying some time outdoors on my motorcycle or hiking in this beautiful countryside.

I highly recommend Dr. Wolter and his entire staff. From the minute I was greeted until I left, I had the best experience! Dr. Wolter goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I broke a tooth and he was on vacation. He actually called me and was able to get another dentist to see me. I am so grateful!!

Dr Wolters always takes his time explaining the procedure that he will be doing. He personally messaged me in the evening to see how I was doing after an implant was placed that morning. Stephanie is my hygienist who performs my cleanings. She is great. Very professional and personable. Highly recommend this dental office.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to the entire team at Dr. Wolter's office. I was greeted with a smile and felt very welcome. The dental assistant was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr. Wolter provides a very safe and comfortable experience, which is not something I thought I would ever be saying about a dentist office. After bad experiences with past dentists, I did not think I would ever be comfortable in a dentist office again, but Dr. Wolter and his team are just so kind, patient, and professional that I almost look forward to going to the dentist. I would 100% recommend.

One of the most fustrating dental experiences i have ever had. After 6 visits for a dental appliance and many sore mouths later i finally called it quits and will be looking for a new denist to fit the appliance correctly. Very frustrating......

Due to disappointment with our previous dentist, we transferred to Dr Wolter and this decision was a good one. The staff are friendly, the hygienist was thorough, and Dr Wolter was knowledgeable, efficient, and skilled. I would highly recommend this practice.

I was very pleased with all the staff at Wolter Advanced Dental Care. This was my first time in their office. I learned more in that one visit than I have learned about dental care in the past 45 years that I have been going to the dentist. I am so happy that I chose to transfer to this dental office. Dr Michael Wolter is a highly trained and experienced professional dentist. During my procedure I felt completely confident that I was in good hands. The work he performed-on a crown was executed with out pain and gave me a confident smile back. Had a broken crown replaced this morning and Dr. Wolter and his staff were top notch. They took special care to ensure I was finished in plenty of time to make it to another appointment I had later in the morning. The fact that my other appointment was a golf tee time did not matter. I got the impression that if it mattered to me, it mattered to them. Dr. Wolter and Shawnna are so professional and caring. Being new to the area we are so very grateful to have found Dr. Wolter and his "office family". Rich

I have been to Dr. Wolter's office twice, and both visits were wonderful! Dr. Wolter is very kind and accommodating! He is fantastic at making his patients feel at ease. For my most recent visit, the check in process was quick, and I was called back for my appointment within minutes of arriving. I was specifically taken care of by Shawnna and Steph, and they were so professional and welcoming! Shawnna was so sweet and did an amazing job taking a ton of X-Rays. Steph was so gentle and gave my teeth the best cleaning they've ever had! My teeth were so smooth and shiny when I left. I was sure to book my next cleaning before leaving, and I will be taking my two daughters for cleanings in the next few months. See you all soon :)
