Dr Dave is a Florida native. He was born in Tampa, but often traveled around the globe as a child with his family (his fatherwas in the air force). His family returned to Florida in 1970. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Florida. Afterwards, he went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from University of Florida. His training educational training was completed with a residency in Orthodontics at Indiana University. After his training was completed, Dr. Dave returned to Florida and has been practicing in Leesburg since 1990.
Dr. Dave stays up to date with the field of orthodontics by attending meetings with organizations of which he is a memberof such as the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Florida Associationof Orthodontists and is a past president of the Lake County Dental Association.
Dr. Dave is married and has three sons. His eldest son, Marc, lives in Washington D.C. and works as an administrator at the George Washington University. His two youngest sons, Chris and Matt, are twins. Matt is currently training to become an OBGYN, and Chris has recently completed his orthodontic training at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Dave is an avid sports fan. He can be found most weekends watching football, basketball, or his favorite auto shows. He also enjoys traveling, acquiring disney art, and going to concerts with his wife and sons.
Dr. Chris is also a Florida native. He was born and raised in Ocala. He received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida. Having completed his bachelor's degree, Dr. Chris moved to Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. He also completed his orthodontic training and Masters of Dental Science at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Chris moved back to Florida after finishing his education and joined Dr. Dave's practice.
Catherine is an orthodontist assistant and has been working at Wollenschlaeger Orthodontics for twenty years. When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her husband Roger and son Hunter. In her spare time, Catherine can be found watching her son playing on the soccer or baseball fields. She also enjoys camping and fishing.

Will highly recommend Dr. Wollenschlaeger and his staff to everyone. Professional, Kind, Courteous and fun atmosphere. My daughter left after every visit telling me how much she loves her orthodontist! She's actually bummed to be finished. Not to mention, she left with a beautiful smile!

Dr. Dave and Dr. Chris along with Catherine and Terry go out of their way to provide great orthodontic care to their patients. The office has a fun atmosphere and they all have great personalities. Thank you for all the care I received over the course of my treatment.

We have been so pleased and impressed with Wollenschlager Orthodontics. They have cared for both of our kids through their entire orthodontic process. Dr Dave, Dr Chris, and the entire staff are very thorough, punctual, and so friendly. The attention to the quality and completion of care is top notch. I know the top rating is usually five stars, but I will give it six stars.

When we first met Dr. Dave, we knew we were in awesome hands! Dr. Dave, Dr. Chris, Terri, Catherine, and the rest of the staff are so caring and dedicated! We can't say enough how much we appreciate them. Our daughter's case is/was a special one and they were very patient to see the process through. So happy we chose Wollenschlaeger Orthodontics!

Hat's off to the best orthodontics office in the great State of Florida! I have had the distinct honour to have had both my daughter and my son receive the most excellent orthodontic care there is to be had in Florida. I cannot thank the entire staff enough! Miss Terri you deserve a medal for always having the utmost patience in the reception area and being extremely organized. Kudos to the best orthodontist ever Dr. Dave! And now for bringing in your mini me Dr. Chris!! Your staff is beyond amazing We will certainly miss seeing you all since it has been nearly nine years of frequenting your office and we are like family!! Today my grandson got his braces off after over three years of appointments, adjustments, etc. I can't say enough good things about the experience. The entire staff from Dr. Dave to the techs to the office personnel have been wonderful to work with and have been very friendly, efficient and accomodating. Thanks for everything.
