Dr. Brooks received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, in California. He spends many hours each year attending courses from leading dentists where he learns new methods to help better serve his patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and Chattanooga Area Dental Society.
Dr. Brooks married his high school sweetheart, Jaclyn, in 2007, and she is now the Marketing Director for the practice. They lived in Loma Linda, California for four years before moving to Chattanooga. They have two wonderful children, Jack Henry who is seven and Norah Paige who is four; and one wonderful Irish-doodle, Sadie. Jack is such a joy, and is a Dallas Cowboys fan and golfer like his dad, and a creative piano playing singer like his mom. Norah loves music too and is beginning piano lessons with her nana. She adores her doggy and playing pretend with her big brother.
Outside of work, Dr. Brooks is very involved in music ministry at his church. He is a passionate singer and guitarist, and regularly leads the congregation in worship along with his wife, who is also a singer. He is also very active and enjoys playing golf, skiing, mountain biking, spending time with his family, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
Julie joined our team in the Summer of 2016 and brings with her 24 years of dental experience. She began as a dental assistant and quickly pursued more in-depth training. She has received advanced training in restorative functions which offers her the ability to help Dr. Brooks place permanent fillings.
She has been happily married to her husband Nathan for 21 years, has a beautiful daughter, Falon, and full-of-life son, Mason. In her spare time she loves to sing, spend time with friends and family, and loves to be outdoors.
Alicia has greeted patients through our doors with her warm smile since the Summer of 2015. She attended Miller-Motte Technical College for Dental Assisting and graduated in 2009. She and her family love spending time crafting, tabletop gaming and attending pop culture/sci-fi conventions. They live in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
Cynthia has worked in the dental field since 1980 and as a dental hygienist since 2000. She has loved being a part of the Wolftever team since 2004 and we have loved having her. She appreciates the opportunity to serve the Ooltewah/Collegedale community.
Lola has played a vital role at Wolftever Dental since September of 2011. She has been in the dental field since 1998 and is dedicated to her patients. Prior to working in Ooltewah, Lola taught in the clinic at Lake Land College in Illinois for five years, she also taught at Chatt State before coming on full time at Wolftever Dental.
She has two adult sons, Zechariah and Dakota, and one precious grandson named Nash. Lola lives in Ringgold, GA and has a basset hound named Gus. Lola is a very family-oriented and giving individual. She loves baking, and often shares her talent with the Wolftever Office team who love it too!
Katie is the most recent addition to the Wolftever Dental Office and brings an excellent set of skills to our team. She graduated from Lee University in 2018 and began working with us in 2019. You'll not only see her chair side as one of Dr. Brooks' assistants, but you may see her in our front office as well.
Dani began working with Wolftever Dental in October of 2021. She graduated from Remington College in Nashville in 2015 and currently lives in Cleveland with her husband and two year old baby girl, Genesis. Dani spends lots of time enjoying the outdoors with Genesis, as that's one of her daughters favorite things. She loves to travel when

The whole family has been going to Wolftever Dental for many years. It's not hard to switch Dentists, as I've been accustomed to do in the past, we would drive to the other side of town to see Dr Brooks and his staff if it was necessary. Highly recommend.

I really am scared of going to the dentist but today I had two crowns done and it was a good experience! I would have no trouble going back tomorrow and having work done on my teeth. Excellent dentist and helpers. I totally recommend this place.

I'm an elderly woman with few teeth; all needing some attention. I had in mind to have them all extracted for replacement with dentures. Dr. Pruehs agreed to do what I asked but offered some alternatives that allowed me to consider retaining the teeth. I opted for the latter. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the friendliest staff. The dental staff is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Our whole family (ages 5 and up) enjoy trips to this office and recommend them any chance we get.

These folks treat you right from start to finish. Their attention to providing excellent care, patient comfort, cost effective solutions and choices are by far the best in the business! At my age and various residencies throughout the states, I've had my share of dentists and three stand out as top notch. They consist of these folks and two others that are now retired. Bottom line, they have cared for my family of five for 20+ years (some staff has come and gone) and those customers I referred while running my own business. Quality, comfort, communication, sensitivity, affordability and several other expectations are a few attributes I use to rate dentists and hygienists - these folks are spot on and you cannot go wrong!

Everyone at this office has been extremely nice and helpful every time I've been there. My hygienist Lola does a fantastic job on my very sensitive teeth, so I don't have to fear going to the dentist anymore. Dr. Pruehs is great and takes his time to make sure everything is good with my teeth. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone!

I had a toothache. I called my insurance company to find a dentist in my area that was in network. Wolftever dental was the one that I chose. I called them and asked if they were in network with my insurance. I was told that they were. I made an appointment. When I got to my appointment I asked again if they were in network with my insurance. The answer was yes. I told them that my insurance would cover 100% the examination and x rays for sure and for fillings and extractions. To be seen by the doctor (as always) I signed the financial obligation form. When I got in the chair and explained to the reason for the visit to the assistant, she took some x rays. When Dr. Pruehs came we talked about the problem, he put his little mirror in my mouth to look at my tooth, he used his finger to look at my other teeth and we talked some more. He told me that I was going to need an extraction and that he would have to send me to a oral surgeon. End of visit. I received my explanation of benefits from my insurance company for that visit. The total was $65 charged to the company. Of which they paid $13 (100%) for one of the x rays. They denied $16 for another x ray saying that frequency limitation had been exceeded and denied the $36 charged for the oral evaluation. I thought that the doctor's office had just made a mistake on submitting the codes. I called the doctor's office and asked about the issue. We had a rather lengthy conversation but the just of it came down to that they were going to do what they felt like they needed to do to get the information that they wanted regardless of what my insurance would pay for. I was told that I needed to be more aware of what my insurance would pay for and be sure ahead of time before I signed the agreement to be responsible for anything that my insurance wouldn't. I let them know when I checked in that I wanted to stay within my insurance limits and I was assured that it was covered. But as it turns out, they gave me a very limited examination that my insurance didn't cover and took a x ray that wasn't covered. Be warned!! Before ANYTHING is done to you in this office, make sure that you have in writing, who is going to have to pay for it and how much it costs. I didn't want anything to be done to me that wasn't covered by my insurance. I was told that I was covered. But things were done that wasn't covered without asking me or telling me. I'm on a fixed income. I have to watch where my money goes. I have insurance. I needed a dentist. My insurance should have paid for the dentist if my dentist had done only what my insurance covered. For what he did for me there were cheaper ways that he could have submitted it to insurance that they would have covered and he would have been compensated for what he did. But he doesn't have to pay the bill now.

Dr. Brooks is fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable, attentive to detail and makes sure you are well take care of. He spent a lot of time with my treatment as well as answering my questions. All of his staff are always polite, fun, courteous, and thorough with each visit. From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome. Definitely recommend this office!

I had a part of a tooth break off. The staff got me in to see Dr. Pruehs within an hour. Before long, my tooth was repaired and I was able to get on with a series of appointments. Dr. Pruehs is an excellent dentist and his staff is very efficient. Richard Noth
