Dr. Wolfer has been practicing general dentistry for over 33 years. He attended dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry and received a DDS degree in 1978. He worked along side his father, Dr. Benjamin Wolfer, also a Temple graduate, for one year in his Brooklyn office. In 1979, Dr. Wolfer took over the Hicksville office of a retiring dentist and expanded the facility to what you see today.
His professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry, Associate Fellowship from the World Clinical Laser Institute and is a member of the Integrated Dental Study Club. As a member in good standing in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Wolfer must take 75 credit hours every 3 years in continuing dental education to be licensed and stay up to date in the latest training and innovations in the dental field.
Our office philosophy is a simple one: regular checkups to avoid costly treatment and preserve ones teeth for a lifetime. The best treatment for those patients with less than perfect teeth is to complete all treatment necessary and then maintain your oral health through regular dental exams.
In his spare time, Dr. Wolfer races his formula race car in the SCCA at tracks throughout the Northeast. He is also interested in WW2 history and is a reenactor in the 3rd infantry Div, 7th Infantry Regiment. This organization participates in WW2 events and displays for the public.

I highly recommend Dr. Wolfer's office. The staff are all friendly and kind. I was a brand new patient and had never been seen by them before. They got me an appointment the same day when I had a painful tooth, and took care of me right away. Chrissy and Dr. Wolfer are so sweet and really made me feel comfortable during my procedure. I will continue to see them, and will recommend to my family and friends.

We were patients here for about a year and didn't really love any of our experiences, particularly when it came to the front desk staff and the attitude we got. We ended up switching to a different dentist as a result and given my husband's insurance, needed his x-rays sent to the new place. My husband left multiple voicemails to get this done, then the new dentist called multiple times as well. Finally as his appt approached and none of us had gotten the x-rays, I had to call and leave a voice mail (albeit not my friendliest VM) that seemed to have done the trick. Rather than call me or my husband back to apologize for their unprofessionalism and unresponsiveness, they called and left a voicemail that describes our experience (and why we left) perfectly. Our new dentist had to call us to tell us that they finally got the x-rays (days after his appt and weeks after he first started reaching out). Would never recommend this place till the front desk staff, particularly who we think is the office manager, has been through some basic customer service training.

Terrible experience! The Dental assistant never introduced herself. She barely spoke to me and when she did, she was rude. The dentist himself came into the room to evaluate me and he also did not introduce himself. He was rude from start to finish. My tooth must have been infected because it was hurting for days prior to this visit. He began to drill on my tooth/crown without even numbing me. I went into the office with pain and I left the office with even more pain and no help! I do not recommend this dental office/dentist. I will make sure to tell friends and family about my horrible experience!

Excellent dentist. Very personable, lazer treatment helped alot. Know him for 7 years, first time I used him as a dentist. Had my tooth fixed in less than an hour.

I have been going to Dr. Wolfer for well over a decade. In all the years of dental hygiene all my experiences were 5 star. His work is detailed, precise,professional and painless. I couldn't imagine going elsewhere. Dr Wolfer's staff including his wife Milva,Chrissy,and all his assistants are warm,friendly and very accommodating.
