She serves on the MAHEC Dental Advisory Board and is a member of both the Academy of General Dentistry and Buncombe County Dental Society. Prior to discovering her passion for dentistry, Dr. Ashley studied music and psychology at the University of Georgia and worked as a pianist for several years.
Dr. Ware grew up in Anderson, SC. He graduated with a B.A. in religion from Davidson College and completed his pre-dental curriculum at UNC Asheville. In 2008, he graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and moved back to the mountains of Western North Carolina. He currently lives in Black Mountain with his wife Kelly, their vivacious daughter Evelyn, and his two old labs. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ware enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. He loves to travel and has had the privilege of doing dental volunteer work in Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal, and India.
Dr. Rory OKane grew up in Fuquay-Varina, NC and is a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. After dental school, he completed a year-long residency program in general dentistry at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Dr. OKane is an active member of the Buncombe County Dental Society and also volunteers his time at ABCCM, a local medical ministry. He married his wife, Emily in 2018, and they now reside in Hendersonville, NC. In his spare time, Dr. OKane enjoys hiking, traveling, Bible study, and cheering on the Tar Heels.

I've been to this office a few times and it will be my forever dental office in the area. The office is very efficiently run and I've never waited more than a couple of minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Dr. Westmoreland is amazing - always thorough and does great work. She's also very conscientious about pain control during procedures and explains everything very well along the way. Candace has usually been the assistant during my visits and she's awesome too! Every other staff member has been great as well and the lab tech rocks! If this means anything to anyone considering going here, my father and my grandfather were both dentists in another state and I worked for my father for a couple of years, so I have a slightly unique perspective on dental practices and this is a great one. 10/10 recommend!

As usual, my experience at WNC Dental was great. Extremely punctual, professional, thorough, informative and fun. My teeth were cleaned by the fabulous Wendy, and examined by Dr. O'Kane. Always a pleasure.

Really awesome turnaround time - they got me an appointment for the next day. I called, they actually answered their phones unlike many dentist offices. At first I didn't understand why they needed a consultation before a cleaning (I'm a new patient). I was supposed to come in once on Tuesday (consultation), and again on Wednesday (cleaning) and they were able to squeeze both in one day. Highly appreciative. Thank you.

I'm a relatively new patient and have only had 3 visits to WNC Dental. The staff to a person are all engaging and seem to really enjoy working together. They all have a healthy sense of humor, which says a lot about the work environment. Dental assistants, technicians etc. very professional, well trained and helpful. Dr. W is a really good, caring individual.

Going on my second year with WNC Dental and am still extremely happy with their services. Elizabeth York is fantastic, taking extreme care in cleaning my teeth and gums. She is extremely professional and friendly making a stressful situation go by quickly. Dr Connor Ware has performed multiple fillings on my teeth, correcting issues that my dentist in Florida did not correct. His professionalism is above reproach, made better by his upbeat and friendly personality. All office staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend WNC Dental!!

I've been to many dental practices over the years, and WNC Dental is my favorite! Dr. O'Kane is professional, friendly, and extremely skilled. Jessica does a superb job with my cleanings, and takes time to answer all of my questions. The office staff is always very helpful, regardless of what I need. I live in Asheville but they are well worth the drive.

I had a very deep seeded fear of going to the dentist. When I started at WNC Dental it was out of desperation, (agony) but I soon learned from Dr. Ludwig and her team, not to be afraid. Hence, I was very upset when Dr. Ludwig moved away but I have to say that my experience at WNC since her departure has been superb! They are kind, gentle, helpful and although I will probably never enjoy going to the dentist, I realize it's a necessity! They are also g tray about not pushing you to agree to unnecessary, expensive procedures. If you want to go to an office where you can trust the doctors and other personnel to be gentle, to listen and to NOT kill you financially - this is the place to go! (They are in the dentemax network so if you don't have insurance, this may be the way to go.)

The whole experience of finally having my regular checkup and cleaning after delay because of the coronavirus pandemic was great. Frequent reminders (text messages) help me remember to take my pre-med (I have artificial joints). Jessica, my hygienist, was very friendly and thorough. Dr. OKane is also friendly, thorough and very frank in his recommendations. I usually end up having to re-schedule my cleaning/prevention appointments when it gets closer to the date. WNC Dental is good about reminding me, and I have been able to reschedule within 10 - 14 days in most cases, if I can't attend the original appt. I have 2 artificial hips and I have elected to continue antibiotic preventive medicine with my dental cleanings. Even though Dr. O'Kane has provided me with the prescription, and I have the medicine at home, I still forgot to take the medicine before my appt.! Fortunately, I was able to take it at the office, before my x-rays. I had a different hygienist this time and she did a good job.

GREAT experience from when I walked to the desk until I left. I was a DA II for over 30 years so I was going in expecting to hold them to MY standards. They passed with flying colors in EVERY-WAY!! That is the kind of problem dental practice I would inMy highest regards and thank you"s to ALL the staff for their professionalism and mostly Dr. Ware who made ,me feel so comfortable and so welcoming.as I am a BIG baby! I've been going here for 3 years and have been very happy with my experience. Excellent customer service! Patient and helpful, always, including when it comes to billing, insurance issues and payments. They run ON TIME to a T, never have I ever experienced timely apts like this in ANY doctors office. It's wonderful! Prices are reasonable. They listen to your preferences and concerns and work with you to develop a treatment plan which best fits both your dental health and your budget.

I've been going to WNC Dental for about 10 years. The only not positive is the paying part. The business section will work with you on paying if needed. Dentist and technician/hygienist staff are very professional and friendly. I've had multiple crowns, fillings and cleaning with no problems. The waiting room and the dental offices are very clean and the practice is observing all mask/covid safety mandates and protocols. I will continue to use WNC Dental and recommend them to anyone looking for a dental practice.

I have been afraid of going to the dentist since I was a little girl. At 39 years old I still cry and have anxiety attacks when it comes to going to the dentist. I have to say WNC DENTAL HAS CHANGED MY VIEW !!!!! This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Compassion, patience, love and understanding! Anna, I have so much to say, the way you took your time and asked me repeatedly how I was made me feel like I was cared for and that you HEARD me. I leave this experience with HAPPY TEARS and Anna that was because of you. THANK YOU!!!!!
