Dr. Brian Withers is a fourth generation Manhattan Beach resident and 99 graduate of Mira Costa High School. He attended the University of Southern California graduating with a major in International Relations and a minor in Pre Medical Natural Sciences. At USC Brian lettered in, and was captain of, the rugby team his senior year, and President of his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta.

Through high school and college, Brian tutored local students. From this experience, he knew that he enjoyed helping others and finding ways to improve lives. Growing up in a dental family, Dr. Brian knew that dentistry would fulfill his love of helping others while also providing the challenge that comes from caring for and creating great smiles every day. He quickly went on to graduate from the Arthur A Dugoni University of the Pacific Dental School of Dentistry in San Francisco. UOP is considered one of the top dental schools in the nation for clinical dentistry.

While meeting the demands of this accelerated, year-round program, Dr. Brian was able to engage in several outside activities, including being a co-founder of the Dental Division of Project Homeless Connect. While building this program from scratch, Brian worked closely with then San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsome, to bring dental treatment to hundreds of homeless in San Francisco for the first time. Project Homeless Connect Dental Division has now grown into a full externship rotation at UOP, and students continue to gain experience and bring care to those who need it most in the Bay Area community.

Dr. Brian was, also, an active member of the Dental Aesthetics Study Club, participated in the SCOPE outreach program, and participated in UOPs advanced clinical sessions for pediatric dentistry. He was awarded the community service award at his graduation and continues to look for ways to participate in public health activities in the South Bay.

In his spare time, Brian loves to see live music and cook. He enjoys playing both the guitar and the piano, fishing with his father, hanging with his dog, Max, watching sports, and, of course, going to the beach. The Lakers and the USC Trojans are his favorite teams. Dr. Brian is an avid reader, like his father, and the two enjoy passing good read recommendations back and forth to each other. What Dr. Brian cherishes above all else is time with his family and his lifelong friends, and still finds himself talking dentistry with his father and mentor every day.

Originally from Brazil, Ana has been in the United States for 29 years, graduating from West High School in Torrance. While still in high school, she found her passion in dental hygiene and became a Registered Dental Assistant by attending classes at the Southern California Regional Occupational Center. Anas path after high school, took her to working full time and attending community college classes at night until being accepted to The University of Southern California Dental Hygiene Program. Ana excelled in the program and even became a clinical faculty member at the USC Dental Hygiene Clinic for 13 years. Ana is very passionate about preventative dentistry and shares her knowledge with every patient she sees. Ana has been married for 18 years to her husband Ken and they have two dogs: Rio and Dodger. She loves to travel and, when at home, she and Ken love to explore Los Angeles many amazing new restaurants.

When your mouth feels good, you feel good. Jennifers passion is to bring healing and wellness through oral healthcare. Its important to her to empower people on that health and wellness journey. Jennifer has been clinically trained to address the ongoing care of varying patient populations including pediatric patients to complex periodontal patients. Jennifer grew up in the San Fernando Valley and received a B.A. in Communications from La Sierra University in Riverside, CA. After college, Jennifer found herself following in her family footsteps working in the healthcare industry. She quickly knew that a career in dentistry was her calling and obtained an Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from New York University and has been creating healthy smiles for nearly a decade.

Martha graduated from Bryman School in 1975 and had her training at UCLA where she discovered that general dentistry was her passion. Originally from Colombia, she is fluent in Spanish. Martha moved to the USA in 1971 and made it her home. Martha joined our team in 1998, she brings to our office lots of energy and laughter. On her off days, she enjoys scrap booking, sewing, dancing and time with her two boys and her husband. Martha is also happy volunteer her skill set in sewing and cooking for her church or anyone who needs a helping hand. Marthas most loved part of her job is making the patients feel comfortable, easing any worries they may have and seeing them leave with a smile.

Tracy is a Redondo Beach native and says there is no better place to live than in the South Bay. She started in the dental field over 30 years ago and has loved it ever since. Moving from a dental assistant to Patient Care Coordinator, Tracy excels at ensuring that everyone in the Withers Dental Family has an incredible dental experience. Tracy prides herself on going above and beyond to help in any way possible. No one leaves, after talking to Tracy, without matching her contagious bright smile! During her free time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her teenage son, going to the movies, and experiencing all the great dining the South Bay has to offer.

Lor was raised in the South Bay where she decided to go to Brymann College after she graduated from high school. She became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2001. She continued building her knowledge and skills and found a natural talent for working in the dental field, especially in the front office. As a Patient Care Coordinator, Lor thrives on all the ways she can maximize your experience, insurance benefits, and overall dental care. When Lor is not working, she can be found spending time with her family and friends. She, also, always has her two beautiful Boxer Dogs (Roxy & Linda) by her side for long walks and trips to the dog beach.

Kathy was born and raised in Los Angeles. She started assisting while in high school; training on the job and obtaining her Dental Assistant License through extensive work experience. She has been assisting for over 20 years. Kathy loves dentistry and enjoys learning and expanding her skills. She knows every patient has unique dental needs and prides herself on making patients feel comfortable and at ease giving them the ultimate dental experience.She loves the ability to change peoples lives through their smile. Kathy is a huge animal lover and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening. Her super power I am a MOM!!
