Dr. Steven Shaw completed his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University before attending the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry for his dental training. After dental school he completed a residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he obtained a Masters Degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences in addition to his specialty certification in orthodontics.
Dr. Shaw published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals during his academic training. To stay up to date on the latest advancements in orthodontics, Dr. Shaw participates in various continuing education meetings. He also maintains an active membership in prestigious professional organizations such as the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Wirig has been a resident of Las Vegas and Henderson for the better part of 20 years. He graduated Cum Laude in 2006 from UNLVs School of Dental Medicine and then finished a two-year orthodontic residency at UNLV in 2008. He is the Past President of the Nevada Orthodontic Society (2012-2014). He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and the American Association of Orthodontics.
Dr. Wirig is actively involved in civic, professional, and religious activities in Clark County, Nevada. In 2014, Dr. Wirig took a faculty position at UNLVs Orthodontic Residency Program, where he taught dental residents who will become future orthodontists. Dr. Matthew Wirig is also the author of a #1 Amazon Best-Selling book, The Ultimate Guide to a Beautiful Smile.

We have absolutely loved our experience at Wirig Orthodontics! The staff is kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. All 5 of our children had braces with Dr Wirig. I highly recommend!!

My adult husband had Invisalign put on by Dr. Wirig. Dr. Wirig did a fantastic job on his teeth and explained each step in the process very well. The staff are friendly, kind and professional.

There is one assistant that my son loves to get he takes A M A Z I N G care of my son interact with him the whole time. Uses gloves the whole time which makes me happy!!!

This has to the best orthodontist in town!!! Amazing beautiful office. Wonderful staff. Just best place we have ever been for healthcare. Amanda was wonderful. Kid friendly w arcade, tvs, welcoming n inviting n CLEAN!! So glad we get to use them for the next 2 years for the braces journey!

Hands down the best ortho/dental in town. I first brought my kids to Wirig in early 2017 and I have been every few months since. Everyone is fantastic, from the front desk, to accounting, scheduling, assistants and Doctors. We have not had one single issue, everything has been smooth and everyone is always very helpful, friendly and approachable. The super fun arcade games and the ice cream machine are huge pluses, but the incredible patient service is what keeps us returning.

Dr. Wirig and team are amazing! They took care of my daughter and her teeth turned out gorgeous. The office is clean and we almost had to wait when we arrived for our appointments. I felt like they explained the process of braces and let my daughter know exactly what to expect. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for straight teeth!

Staff is amazing. Dr Shaw is always on top of the patients. My favorite assistants are Jose, Claudia and Ari, they've become family to us. They are very friendly and explain everything very clear for my son's improvement.
