
We hope this message finds you and your family in good health. As we resume with regular patient care, we wanted to share an update regarding COVID-19 prevention measures we are taking in our practice.
As always, our office strictly follows the infection control guidelines set by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Allison joined the dental profession in 2017 as a dental assistant. She continued her training and education to become a dental hygienist and recently joined our team with her husband, Dr.Chase Wootton. Allison grew up in Georgia, she and Dr.Wootton are excited to return home following Dr.Wootton's military service.
Allison enjoys the lasting relationships that she is able to build with patients in her dental world. She loves having the opportunity to connect one-on-one with a patient, work together to improve their health and create and maintain a more aesthetic smile.
Allison is a world traveler, she has been to over 30 countries! She also has a love of baking because her Mom and Grandma owned a small baking business. She and Dr.Wootton have a small dog named Lily whom theyadore.
Angie has been working with the Winterville Dental Team since 2001. She received her Dental Assistant certification in 2002. She has had extensive continuing education and hands-on training in Radiographic Imaging, Full Mouth Reconstruction, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Cosmetic Dentistry, CEREC 1-Visit Dentistry, Invisalign, Total Team Training and BioResearch Associates training for computerized TMJ diagnostics. Angie wears many 'hats' and is well versed in both clinical assisting and our administrative office.
Angie feels a great deal of compassion for patients and enjoys having a job that is so rewarding and uses her abilities to help others. She is married and has 3 daughters and a son-in-law. She enjoys quilting, reading and church activities in her spare time.
Dr. Chase Wootton grew up in Utah. He began his dental career working in a dental laboratory, where he developed an appreciation for the technology and services that could be used to restore a patient's smile. Dr.Wootton decided to become a dentist so he could build relationships with patients and see the changes in their smile confidence firsthand.
Dr. Wootton received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utah Valley University in 2010. He attended dental school at Midwestern University Arizona, completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 2015.
Following dental school, Dr.Wootton served as an U.S. Army dentist for over 5 years. He was initially stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington, and then transferred to Vilseck, Germany, where he enjoyed traveling and learning about foreign cultures. He returned to the U.S., and was stationed in Fort Huachuca, Arizona for over a year. Dr.Wootton continues his military service today with the U.S. Army Reserves.
Dr. Wootton is committed to continual professional growth through ongoing education. He completed a 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (AEGD) with the U.S. Army in 2016, as well as coursework through the U.S. Army Advanced Clinical Practice program. Dr.Wootton's areas of focus in continuing education include cosmetic dentistry, CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry, dental laser certification, oral surgery, placement and restoration of dental implants and dental sleep medicine.
Supporting community dental health and education is important to Dr.Wootton. He participated in a dental trip to Tonga to bring dental care to people with limited access, and translated Spanish for patients and providers at community clinics and dental school. Dr.Wootton's professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Wootton enjoys his family time with his wife, Allison and their dog Lily. Allison is a dental hygienist from Brooks, Georgia. Dr.Wootton and Allison love building great memories traveling together on cruises, touring around Europe, skiing and fishing.
