Dr. Edwin Jauch (also known as Dr. J) is an orthodontic specialist with over 20 years experience and past president of the Eighth District Orthodontic Academy and Greater Buffalo Association of Orthodontists. He has 3 kids of his own and lives in Orchard Park with his family. Dr. J enjoys fishing, camping, skiing and hiking with his family. A big believer in giving back to his community, he's active in many community organizations. We can't wait for you to meet him!
Anything else youd like your patients to know about you? Married- wife: Heide, 3 children (Emma, Mae, & Nicholas) and Samoyed dog named Blue. I enjoy fishing, camping and vacationing in Siesta Key with my family. I also enjoy trying to teach my son the game of golf.
What made you want to be an orthodontist? I come from a long line of dentists starting with my grandfather who graduated from UB in 1928. I always had a great respect for how dentists helped their patients on such a personal level and formed bonds with families that last a lifetime. I still have people who recognize my last name tell me great stories about my grandfather.
Whats your favorite way to spend a weekend or Sunday afternoon? As like most families, I spend most weekends watching my kids sporting events. It's usually a mixture of basketball, soccer, volleyball or crew depending on the time of year. Despite all the running around, we still try to get as many of our family members together for Sunday dinner. When the first Saturday in May comes around, you will likely find me walleye fishing on Oneida Lake.
Favorite sport team? Being born and raised in Buffalo means the Bills and Sabres are always on top my list but now that my daughter will be rowing at Marist College in the fall, I will include the Red Foxes on my list of favorite teams.

Took my son for a second opinion for a precedure recommended by prior dentist. Dr. Mike was excellent, he took the time to explain everything (instead of just throwing info at me like at the last place), my son doesn't need nearly as much work as our last dentist tried to push on us. My son gets very anxious at Dr. Offices and he felt more comfortable here. Plus we were given additional feedback and recommendations about a separate issue. We will definitely be permanently switching to this office

My son had a great first experience at the dentist! There was a little play area in the waiting room for him to play while I filled out paperwork, make sure you arrive early to fill that out. The staff was so kind and welcoming! I would recommend Winning Smiles to anyone.

More of a child-friendly dentist, but pretty good for adults also. Usually go on lunch break from work. Average wait time. I really like the hygienist Sandy at the Amherst location. Very warm, friendly and compassionate.

I was referred to Dr. Mike Foley by my lactation consultant to evaluate my son for ties. Dr. Mike was excellent. I called and explained my son being FTT and losing weight unable to effectively eat. The receptionist said they were booking out 2 months but wanted to talk to the doctor and would call me back. She called back and said that Dr. Mike himself opened an appt time up to evaluate our son asap and wanted us there the next day. We went under the impression we would be getting a consult appointment. We arrived and Dr. Mike advised he had an upper lip tie as well as a posterior tongue tie. He explained everything thoroughly, the repercussions of nit treating. We agreed to treat and he did the treatment that day. My son now has a much better latch, effectively transferring milk, less gassy, no more clicking, deeper latch, and has gained 1lb 6oz In 13 days! I recommend highly for tie revisions. As long as you follow orders and do exercises properly his revisions are flawless and effective!

I have been going to Winning Smiles my entire life. Everyone is always friendly and the office is clean and welcoming. I also just wanted to shout out Shar Roh and Dr Walker for being so kind and helpful during my cleaning today

I miss my dentist who used to be here dearly, but every single person at this practice is kind, patient, and understanding. This is the perfect dentist practice for anyone with anxiety because everyone makes a sincere effort to meet you where you're at and help you to become healthier. I can't recommend this place highly enough but I don't actually know the new dentist yet. Update: Dr Lin has worked with me twice now and I can't get over how professional and skilled he is. Literally every person who works here has been amazing since I started coming here. I wish whoever managed this place would open other healthcare providing offices because no one else is this transparent with pricing and supportive.

Decent visit but less chatting between employees would be appreciated. It took 40 minutes for 2 kids for a basic cleaning. Historically, they have been able to complete all 3 of my kids within the 40 minutes. I'm all for friendly small talk but standing their listening to story after story is really not what I'm there for.

I would rate zero stars if possible. If you have a child with autism... stay away from this group . The dentist assumed my sons tooth infection cleared up.They decided to postpone his extraction, so they could do a full work up while he was under anesthesia . My son is autistic and not easy to deal with . BTwo days later I took my son for an annual checkup . His primary looked in his mouth and noticed the infection was still there, and now he has an inner ear infection. Winning smiles made no effort to reevaluate my son , or try to get him in sooner . We've had numerous issues with being over billed and even had appointments canceled. When we first joined this practice it seemed nice. What a letdown it turned out to be .

The staff and Doctors here are absolutely amazing!! They are so compassionate and empathetic. I have ridiculous anxiety about going to the dentist and they went above and beyond to make sure I was reassured and provided me with exceptional medical attention.

Hygienist was fine, but its the second time there was no dentist to look at me or the xrays that were taken. Not the hygienist fault, but staffing issue.
