Dr. Brad Winn grew up in McMinnville, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He graduated with his Doctorate in Dentistry in 2000 from The University of Tennessee at Memphis. Dr. Winn chose the field of dentistry because he has a passion to serve and he loves being able to devote time to his career and patients without sacrificing time spent with his family.

Dr. Winn is married to Mindy, and together they have two daughters, one son, and a German Shepherd named Rosie. Dr. Winn and his family enjoy annual trips to the Dominican Republic where they provide free dental care to those in need. In his spare time, Dr. Winn enjoys exercising and outdoor recreation like boating and paddleboarding.

Erica has been in the dental industry for almost 15 years, and at Winn Smiles for 11 of those years. She worked for 10 years as Dr. Winns main chairside assistant, and has transitioned into the role of Operations Directors for all of the practices. Erica has a passion for dentistry, but her passion for people supersedes and shines, making her the perfect person to oversee the daily operations of the business. Erica is passionate about getting to know our patients and helping them improve their oral health and form trusting relationships with our providers. She is passionate about our patient experience and feels blessed to be part of the Winn Smiles mission.

Hannah believes in using social media, communications, and other marketing outlets to build relationships within the community of Cleveland and educate people on what the best care possible looks like. She firmly believes in fostering authentic connections between Winn Smiles and our patients and hopes to continue to establish our practice as a community and patient first practice.

Ann has been part of the Winn Smiles family for 13 years, and has helped and watched it grow from a one doctor, two hygienist operation into what we all know and love today! Ann has always understood the vision behind the growth and desire of wanting to reach more in our community and help them achieve optimal oral health and get the smile they deserve. Ann has worked in our admin department as a team leader, an insurance coordinator and even Dr. Brads personal barber! Ann has done it all! She is dedicated to providing exemplary patient experiences and service, and is well known for going above and beyond daily for her fellow Winn Smiles family members, and our patients. Ann lives in Cleveland with her husband, Dan and has two adult children, Brad and Brooke and they welcomed their first grandson, Watson, in 2020.

Dr. Lara M. Fretwell attended Sylacauga High School in Alabama and continued on to Auburn University, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Fretwell completed her dental education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She graduated top of her class as an Academy of General Dentistry scholarship recipient. As dentistry and technology advances, continuing education plays a significant role in being the best dentist possible. She restores teeth with same-day crowns and also replaces missing teeth with dental implants and implant-supported dentures.

Dr. Fretwell loves helping people achieve their dream smile. Dr. Fretwell feels it is very important that her patients are informed about their treatment and she is conscientious about performing the best treatment possible. With an outstanding sense of humor and calm chair-side manner, she makes her patients feel very comfortable.

Dr. Fretwell is a very compassionate person with a heart to serve. She balances her love of dentistry with her love of family. Dr. Fretwell has three beautiful daughters and they spend time together enjoying the girls passions for the swim team, gymnastics, and color guard. A fun fact about Dr. Fretwell is that she spent the summer working at Yellowstone National Park at the Old Faithful Gift Shop

Dr. Kayla Khan grew up in Resaca, Georgia and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and an Associate of Foreign Language in Spanish from Dalton State College. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University where she graduated in 2018.

Dr. Khan has always had a passion for helping others, which is what led her into the field of dentistry. She enjoys providing her patients with exceptional care in order to help them achieve their dream smile.

Dr. Joshua McKinney is a Chattanooga native who was born and raised in Ooltewah, TN. He graduated high school at McCallie, and then went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Wofford College. During his time at Wofford, he had the opportunity to play college baseball. It was during this season of his life that he cultivated a passion for helping others. After graduating, Dr. McKinney attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Dr. McKinney is married to his beautiful wife Brittney, and together they have a two-year-old son named Cooper. The McKinny family is involved with their local church, and they have a passion for giving back to their community. When hes not at the office, Dr. McKinney enjoys fishing, golfing, fitness, and spending time outside with his family.

Dr. McKinney was blessed with several amazing mentors throughout life. They pushed him to persevere and strive toward excellence by challenging himself with the pursuit of knowledge. This has transferred to his passion for dentistry, where he has far exceeded the minimum required hours of continued education. He believes in patient-centered care by understanding that each patient is unique, and he seeks to exceed their goals and expectations.

C.J. feels honored to be part of a team that gives their heart and soul to make sure our patients are treated with the highest level of care. As the Benefit Specialist, C.J. provides a courtesy check of benefits available for treatment, and breaks this information down for patients so that they understand what coverage they have. Our staff works hard to make sure every single person who walks through our door feels loved and appreciated, and C.J. takes pride in doing her part to provide excellent customer service.

Kaci is our lucky seven, with seven years by Dr. Brads side! Kaci has several years of experience in oral and dental surgery, and complex treatment plans. This experience paired with Kacis passion and excitement for educating her patients on their best options for long term health and advocating for their perfect smiles makes patients confident that they are in the best hands possible!

As Hygiene Coordinator, Jodie has one of the most challenging jobs in the office in helping people find time in their busy schedules to prioritize their dental healthwhich these days is hard for everyone to find time for! But Jodie, always a hilarious gem of positivity, tackles this challenge head on and is passionate about taking the best care of our patients from the first phone call, to the time they get in their cars to leave.

Lauras goal as a dental hygienist is to give the best custom care and education to each of her patients while providing them with a comfortable and non-judgemental atmosphere. She has a passion for helping patients overcome their dental fears and anxiety so that they may focus on getting back to the best health possible.

Victoria became a hygienist because she had a long time interest in teeth and oral health and found her passion in dentistry. She has been married for three years and this year they welcomed their first baby, a boy named Cannon. Victoria loves her fur baby, a miniature Schnauzer named Roman and loves to talk with her patients about their pets as well! Feel free to bring pictures! Victoria has a kind and gentle way with patients and loves to understand what is important to them while working to provide a comfortable and painless experience for each and every one.

Jessicas goal as a dental hygienist is to provide the highest quality of care to each patient that sits in her chair. She is committed to making visits to the office a comfortable and positive experience based on individual needs. Jessica has a passion for dentistry and believes that everyone deserves a healthy, beautiful smile and wants to make sure that all of her patients see the path to the smile of their dreams, and help them attain the best oral health possible. Dentistry is more than just teetha smile that someone can feel confident about can be life changing, and Jessica loves being part of that process with her patients.

Ashlynn Wilson has been part of the Winn Smiles team since September of 2020, originally coming on as a sterilization tech. Ashlynns first day at Winn Smiles was the day of the free community clinic, Dentistry From the Heart, and really felt right at home serving the community of Cleveland with the rest of the team. Ashlynn lives in Polk County with her husband, their three children and a cat and a dog.

Lindsay is the left hand of Dr. Laras assistant team and definitely the heart. Lindsay believes that every patient that she comes in contact with shares part of their story with her and she feels honored to be part of their journey in receiving the smile of their dreams!

Jade has been blessed with a doctor that she can proudly assure patients about by saying, Shes the best!. Jade has been a dental assistant for over 10 years and has vast experience in several specialties, including orthodontics and endodontic treatment and care. She has an over abundance of compassion for her patients and has a calming way of making your experience the best! You leave Jades chair feeling like you have made a new friend! When shes not at the office, she enjoys her time with her 3 beautiful boys and 2 dachshunds, especially when they make it to the beach.

Katie has worked in the dental industry for the past seven years, joining the Winn Smiles family in July of 2020. Katie has worked primarily in pediatric dentistry, which allows her to bring a wealth of patience and nurturing to her patients in the chair. When you are with Katie, you automatically feel like she understands exactly what you need and will go to any length to provide you with the care you need in the most comfortable and caring way possible. Katie lives in Cleveland with her precious son, Finn who is 4 and keeps Katie happily on her toes. We are so lucky to have Katie as part of our family, and you will feel the same when you meet her!

Whitney has been with Winn Smiles since October of 2020 and has seamlessly fit into both the culture and overall mission of the practice: taking care of people. Whitney works mostly with our wonderful Dr. Emily as her left hand, since Whitney is a lefty. Whitney is most passionate about creating a comfortable experience for her patients and really loves helping our most anxious patients have a great experience that allows them to leave with a smile on their face.

Jen is our Administrative Team Lead, and if youve ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you know that she has a way of making the tedious tasks of check out, insurance claims, and scheduling a breeze! Jen always cares most about making our patients feel like they are leaving our home well taken care of and proud of their smile.

Kacis years of experience in medical customer service and insurance gives her unique insight into how she can best help our patients understand the financial side of their journey to the smile of their dreams! She is most passionate about making sure our patients are confident about their decision to trust us with their oral health and makes sure that patients know they can count on her each step of the way! Kaci lives in Cleveland with her wonderful husband, Matt and their pups and loves a great documentary or good podcast!

Kenisha feels very fortunate to work in such a fun and caring environment where core values drive the team to ensure patients are being treated like family members when they enter our front door. To see patients leave with their winning smile is always rewarding and Kenisha is honored to be part of their journey in finding their confidence.

Dr. Robin Smith is a Chattanooga native. He earned a bachelors degree in biology from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 1979 and graduated from the UT College of Dentistry in 1985. He has been practicing dentistry for 36 years, and he and his wife Vickie live in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

Outside of the office, Dr. Robin enjoys all things construction. He is usually working on a home improvement project. Dr. Smith is also an avid Harley Davidson fan and owner. He and his wife Vickie enjoy rides on their bikes around town and the surrounding area regularly! Together, he and Vickie have three children and eight grandchildren that live in the Chattanooga area.

Dr. Patrick Im is a 1995 graduate of the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Hes been practicing general dentistry for 26 years now and earned the prestigious Fellow designation at the Las Vegas Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry in 2009. Dr. Im has also practiced in a hospital dental clinic setting and feels at home with patients of all walks of life, meeting various dental needs and providing long lasting solutions.

Creating the most gentle and painless dental visits, while providing high quality and aesthetic results is what Dr. Im finds rewarding everyday. He particularly loves treating chronic pain for patients suffering from TMJ (craniofacial disorders) and providing non-invasive physiologic-based techniques to relieve medical symptoms like tension headaches, migraines, neck-shoulder-back pain, jaw popping pain, tinnitus, clenching, and grinding just to name a few. Dr. Im also provides sleep apnea appliances for those patients who are CPAP intolerant and for those wanting to avoid invasive surgery.

Kara has worked at the North Chattanooga office with Dr. Robin for 27 of her 29 year hygiene career! She loves building personal relationships with her patients and looks forward to their talks, although a bit muffled. Kara has two amazing daughters that are her rocks. We cant wait for more patients to be able to experience her personal touch and quality care in the years to come!

Stacie has been in the dental field for a total of 26 years. She spent 12 years as a dental assistant and 14 as a dental hygienist. She has known since 5th grade that she wanted to be a dental hygienist and loves getting to know her patients! Stacie has been married to Eric for 19 years and they have two kids, Lake and Saylor, who are both active in sports. Stacie is also an animal lover and has four dogs that she considers to be her kids too.

Peggy has been a hygienist for 37 years and with Dr. Robin Smith for 19 years! She is proud to be part of the Winn Smiles team and is looking forward to continuing to serve her long time patients, as well as meet new ones and care for them in the best way possible! Peggy has three grown children and six precious grandchildren that she loves spending time with.

Kelly has been a registered dental assistant for 24 years! She has two beautiful children, Noah and Jacy. In her spare time, Kelly loves to be with her animals and enjoy the outdoors! Kelly brings so much life and energy to the team, you can hear how much she enjoys her work and her work family. Shes such a joy to be around, and we are sure you will love Kelly as much as we do.

Gabby loved going to the dentist at a very young age and knew she wanted to pursue a career in the dental field. Gabby graduated from Chattanooga State Dental Assisting program and immediately joined the Winn Smiles North Chattanooga team. Gabbys relationships with both patients and her work family is what makes her absolutely love coming to work everyday. When Gabby isnt bouncing around the office, you can find her bouncing around with her puppy Koa, or at the lake with her family and friends.

Candy has been with Dr. Robin and the North Chattanooga office for 19 years! She loves all of our patients like they are family. Candy has been married for 22 years to her best friend Gary, and they have two boys, Garrett and Bryson, along with their fur babies, Biscuit and Jelly. Baseball is a family passion and on the weekends Candy can be found at the ballfield, either in the stands cheering on the boys, or behind the booth at concessions!

Dr. J. Tyler Lunsford received his Bachelor of Science in biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master of Science in global medicine from USC before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018 from USC. He practiced in the Bakersfield area for over three years before moving back home to Dalton and Chattanooga and joining the Winn Smiles Team. Dr. Lunsford is proud to be continuing the family tradition, pursuing dentistry like his mother and uncle before him. In his free time, Dr. Lunsford enjoys golfing and was a high school state champion. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his two furry companions, Isis and Hadlee.

Lauren is a Mississippi native, but she has lived in Chattanooga for the past two years. Lauren has been a dental assistant for four years and has recently received additional education and training as an expanded functions dental assistant, which allows her to care for patients and perform dental fillings alongside the dentist. Lauren was married in September this year and loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves having brunch, crafting, spending time outdoors, and being a plant mom! Lauren is passionate about her patients and understands that many have anxieties about going to the dentist. Lauren does her best to ensure patients have trust and confidence in her and Dr. Im and works to put them at ease. Seeing patients smiling and happy as they leave her chair is the best feeling and reward.

Stephanie has been a dental assistant for 20 years. She enjoys dentistry and is passionate about helping them gain confidence in their smile. All of Stephanies patients feel at home and welcome in her chair. She works to provide them with a non judgemental atmosphere and walks beside them on the road to optimal oral health. Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends. She also enjoys being out on the water at the beach or on a boat, and gardening. Stephanie looks forward to meeting you and working together on the smile of your dreams!

Betsy has been at our Brainerd office for 14 years, she is the familiar face our patients know and love. Betsy began her career in medical insurance and billing in 1981 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice in our administration department. Her goal is to help each patient understand their dental treatment needs and she works diligently with them to ensure they have the best coverage possible on their way to their best smile and oral health. Betsy lives in Chattanooga with her husband, Tripp and together they rescue and love on their three Afghan Hounds!

Brittany Bell is originally from the San Diego area and has lived in Chattanooga for the past five years with her husband, Chris and their three beautiful children Haylee, Hudson and Brendon. Brittany has been with the Winn Smiles team since 2021 and loves greeting patients by phone and as they walk in the door. Brittany loves to be able to make their experience a little easier by helping them with paperwork and understanding more about their insurance and payment options all with the brightest and most genuine smile. Brittany makes all our patients feel like they just came home. She cant wait to meet you!
