Mark Schutte, DDS Dentist serving Pasco Tri-Cities area Wine Country Family Dental Dr. Mark Schutte was born and raised in the Columbia Basin area with ties to both Othello and the Tri-Cities.He established Wine Country Family Dental in Pasco, WA, in the Tri-Cities area in order to practice dentistry and give back to the communities and people he has grown up with. He comes from a background of a family made of farmers and teachers. Working summers on the family farm when he was younger has made him appreciate the hard-working people of the Columbia Basin. Coming from a family of educators, he has also followed in their path of education.
Dr. Schutte grew up and graduated in Othello, WA.He continued his undergraduate studies at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, and graduated in 2009 from theUniversity of Washington School of Dentistry.After graduation, he served for five years in the United States Navy as a dental officer completing a one-year rigorous hospital-based General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital San Diego.He then completed a two-year operational tour at Marine Corp Air Station in Yuma, AZ, where he received the Commanding Officers Clinical Excellence Award.During his final two years, he was stationed at Naval Hospital Bremerton Branch Dental Clinic Bangor in Silverdale, WA.
Continuing education in dentistry is a high priority for Dr. Schutte.He strives to bring his patients the best and most up-to-date care that dentistry has to offer.Dr. Schutte completes up to a hundred continuing education hours a year, far exceeding the minimal requirement of twenty-one set by theWashington State Dental Board.He is actively involved in the world-renowned Great Blue Heron Study Club and takes numerous classes in dental sleep medicine, orthodontics, oral sedation and much, much more. He has active memberships in the following professional associations:American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine,Academy of General Dentistry,American Dental Associationand DOCs education for sedation dentistry.
Dr. Schutte is actively involved in the communities of the Tri-Cities.He is currently an active adjunctive faculty member at Columbia Basin Community College for the Hygienist Program.He helps train and provide assistance to the dental hygiene students. Wine Country Family Dental is an active member of Pasco Chamber of Commerce, Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, and Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau. The office actively participates in other community events like the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Mariachi Festival, Hanford Workers Health and Safety Expo at the TRAC, and Breast Cancer Awareness Run at Columbia Park, and the office also routinely gives out free toothbrushes and info to members of the community. Dr. Schutte also enjoys volunteering at Grace Clinic in Kennewick when they are in need of a dentist.
His goal as a dentist is to provide the very best care in a relaxing environment. Lets face it: being in the dental chair for some is their greatest fear, and Dr. Schutte likes to provide an atmosphere that helps patients overcome that fear so that they are able to get treatment they need. He enjoys educating patients on dental and oral diseases and conditions, how tooth-related disease and conditions relate to overall heath, and how they can affect each other. Not only does he want his patients to have a beautiful smile that they can be proud to show off, he also wants them to have a healthy one.
Outside of work, Dr. Schutte enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He has two rescue dogs, Taylor (Weimaraner) and Bruce (German Shorthair Pointer), who have made numerous moves with him while in the military. Dr. Schutte enjoys golfing, fishing, camping, smoking meats/BBQing and going to music concerts.
Kendyl R. Registered Dental Hygienist Graduating from the hygiene program at Columbia Basin College, Kendyl has been a valuable part of our team at Wine Country Family Dental. She is a team player and enjoys working with our fun team members. Outside of our office, she enjoys staying active and walking her three fur babies with her boyfriend.
Lori H. Office Manager Lori has been in the dental field since 2000 and has been with this practice since April of 2010. She helps patients with treatment planning, maximizing their dental benefits and arranging an affordable payment plan. She works all aspects of the front office, from greeting you with a smile to saying see you next time! She loves building long-lasting relationships with all patients and loves when they leave the office with a smile.
Monica G. Receptionist Monica has been with our office since 2015. She enjoys meeting our patients and getting to know them, and she ensures all our guests feel comfortable and welcome. Monica is the mother of three beautiful daughters and has a precious granddaughter. She spends her free time with family and friends and enjoys shopping, BBQing, camping and traveling.
Cynthia M. Registered Dental Assistant Cynthia graduated from Charter college in 2013. She has been a registered dental assistant for over five years. We are lucky to have Cynthia as part of our team! She makes sure that our patients feel comfortable and answers any questions that they may have about their treatment. With Cynthias help, our patients leave our office with a smile. Cynthia adores her two sons. In her free time, she enjoys hiking.
Stacey R. Registered Dental Hygienist Stacey graduated from the Clark College Dental Hygiene program in 1998 with honors. She joined our team in July 2019, bringing with her great experience and an ability to connect with her patients. She loves being part of a wonderful team and an office committed to providing great quality service.

It starts with Monica, Marks receptionist. She's the best. Today I had a new hygienist, Marisa. She was friendly, gentle and made me feel at ease with her thoroughness. Pretty good for a newbie in the hygienist world. I give WCD 5 stars for their professionalism and would recommend them highly.

I have been going to wine country for about 4 years now and every time I go in I get the same awesome experience. My cleanings are always great and the two crowns I've had done were simple, pain free procedures. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking!

I have been a patient for about 5 years now. I have never had a bad experience ever. I always leave happy and always have a great conversation with the office ladies. Every one is so nice and Dr. Shutte is absolutely amazing. 10/10 recommend

My first visit/appointment went fantastic. The dental hygienist and dental assistant were very knowledgeable and informed me what was going to happen with my root canal procedure. Doctor Schutte's knowledge was top level in how he explained what each step would involve. Walked out with zero pain and never had any afterword's and this is day 3. I definitely experienced sincere professionalism.

Wine Country Dental is a wonderful dental office the dentist, hygienist, and the office staff are wonderful and very helpful. I have been going to them for at least 7 years. Great place to come for dental work.

everything was great! Pain free dentistry. Both my wife and I had a very positive experience. We really appreciate the Dr.'s willingness to get us in and take care of the fillings that I needed. The dental hygienists were great! as well as all of the office staff. Living out of town, it was really nice to do one day oral care. Thank you very much!

I'm from out of state and had a filling come out on Saturday. I called Wine Country Family Dental after being referred by my brother Dj on Monday and they were able to get me in on Tuesday. Cynthia did my partial x-rays and the Dr. did my fillings. They were very informative and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend them.

Today was my first return to a Dentist's Office in many, many years due to ongoing health conditions. So, needless to say, i was a little nervous as to what I was expecting to hear. I was very surprised as to how comfortable and relaxed and helpful the Staff and Doctor all made me feel. Ways they made feel relaxed was their Mannerism, and their Professionalism. When they spoked to me, they took their time to not only explain but showed me visually exactly what we were talking about. Another way was every staff had familiarized themselves with my personal background and made me feel like we've known each other for a very long time. It was a very warm welcoming. Thank you. I just had my first appointment at Wine Country Family Dental and although I am someone who admittedly does not enjoy a dental check-up, it was a breeze! Kendyl, Cynthia & Dr. Schutte were all professional and friendly. If you are looking to establish care with a new dentist, I recommend WCFD.

I've been with Wine Country Family Dental for years and continued to be with them when they moved to the new location. I enjoy my visits because I don't feel a thing. I always hear of people being hesitant/anxious about going to the dentist but trust me this place is wonderful. I strongly recommend it.

Nothing but great things to say about Wine Country Dental. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The building is extremely clean and well put together. They make going to the dentist as good as an experience possible.

Every in the office is great and offers a lot of help. The doctor is very knowledgeable. I recently got my braces and Cynthia assisted me worked on my teeth this recent time. She was very patient and answered my many questions I had. I highly recommend this office everyone is very friendly.

ALWAYS the best service! They were able to get me in same day for wisdom tooth pain and I've been coming back ever since! My hygienist Kendyl has always been so great and the front desk gal Lori is always so friendly! Highly recommend them!
