Windmill Dentistry was created for the people of Muskogee, with help from long-time residents and the entire community. Our team consists of staff members and dental experts who are committed to providing the community with a unique, patient-first experience. We believe our team of dentists along with our wonderful staff provide a great place to receive exceptional care in a welcoming environment. As soon as you walk through our doors, you will immediately feel the Windmill Dentistry difference. Our entire team is dedicated to providing a warm, down-to-earth experience from hello to goodbye. We love what we do and we want to share this with our patients and the entire community.
Dr. Max Bird DDShas been practicing dentistry in Oklahoma for over 40 years. He received his doctorate from Texas A&M University in Zoology and in 1977, he graduated from Baylors College of Dentistry and moved with his wife and newborn baby to Tulsa, Oklahoma to begin his career. Throughout his time in Tulsa, he has owned and operated two dental practices and raised three children with his wife of 45 years. He attempted to retire but his passion for dentistry and love for the community brought him to open Muskogee's Windmill Dentistry. Dr. Bird now has five grandchildren who have given him a special place in his heart for the family side of the practice. He has a love for helping those in need. Thats what drew him to dentistry in his youth and what has kept him here for decades. Helping his patients live happy and healthy lives is truly rewarding.
Jennifer has been a hygienist for the last 17 years in Muskogee and surrounding areas. She enjoys yoga and spending time with friends and family. If youre unable to reach her on the weekends, shes probably busy supporting the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Go Pokes! Jennifer makes patient comfort her priority and believes in developing personal relationships with each of her patients. She is experienced, genuine and loves her career.
Ruthie Hawkins has been a dental hygienist for 25 years. She graduated from Rose State College and worked with Dr. Terry Grubbs for 20 years. She looks forward to continuing her relationship with her patients at Windmill Dentistry. Ruthie was raised in Kansas City but has made her home in Eufaula for over 25 years. She and her husband, Joe, have raised three children. Ruthie spends her free time volunteering with various booster clubs and organizations. She loves supporting her kids and grandkids at their various sporting events.
Shannon Freed has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She has a passion for helping people achieve their dental needs. Shannon also enjoys cooking, baking and reading. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Jeanie has been involved in the dental field for many years. She was married to Dr. Terry Grubbs, a dentist here in Muskogee, for more than 30 years. Jeanie enjoys working with people and loves to visit with former patients and friends. Jeanie likes to travel, work in her garden and cook outside for family and friends. She is also the designated team mom for Windmill Dentistry.
Karra has been a dental assistant in the Muskogee area for over 15 years working for Dr. Terry Grubbs. She was born and raised in Oklahoma and has made her home in Muskogee. She has a 21-year-old son she loves spending time with. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family in the area. Karra loves watching movies and eating great Mexican food.

This place is the best. Staff vary personable. Took a bit longer then I expected, But well worth the wait. Fitting is perfect best fitting pair I've ever had. Thank you so much, your the greatest. Highly recommend.

I'll never be back they were told multiple times my tooth couldn't be fixed it needed to be removed now I can't afford the surgery to get it fixed bc of this dental office

Excellent dental practice! Very welcoming and friendly! The staff was knowledgeable and great with kids. They made us feel right at home. Would most certainly recommend to anyone looking for a Dentist.

I had an appointment this morning. New customer, first timer. Walked in, got asked immediately if I wanted some coffee or water. Shannon at the front desk is bubbly and super friendly. I met the whole bunch up there and my hygienist Jennifer, loved her. We chatted the whole time, well when her fingers weren't in my mouth, loved her spirit and personality. Dr Bird came in and loved em the second he walked in. All around wonderful place amazing atmosphere can't wait to go back.

You feel like family when you first walk-in, the staff and Dr. Bird make you feel so welcomed! They will work with you on your dental treatment and make your experience very enjoyable! Give them a call or just stop by for a cup of coffee and a chat!

So happy to be a patient of Windmill Dentisty! They made me feel very welcome and we're so fun to talk to during my semi-annual cleaning. The office staff is very willing to work with patients who have a tight schedule or a deadline. If you haven't tried them, they are a must!!!

Warm, inviting, and fun atmosphere. Great experience! Staff is genuine and you can tell that they love their jobs and patients. TV's in every room to watch Netflix and to see my x-rays. Staff and Dr. very compassionate in explaining the treatment options. I told my family and now our whole family enjoys going to the Dentist.

In the past I didn't think dental care was very important. It was an experience I didn't feel comfortable with. Since I have found my "family" at Windmill Dentistry, that has changed. I look forward to going to the dentist and hygienist for regular appointments. It's refreshing in today's world to find a dentist office where you feel welcome.

The office staff is super nice, funny, and sweet. The office is very modern and inviting. The office doesn't feel like a regular doctors office. Windmill Dentistry is great!! (They also have a great coffee station lol)

Outstanding staff with loving providers! Dr. Bird and both hygentists are so kind and easy to communicate with. I don't EVER feel anxious or dread having to go to the dentist (even for a filling!) actually, I look forward to seeing them ALL! They can just turn a frown upside-down within seconds and you'll forget you were stressed, worried, nervous, etc. Whatever your personal situation may be... I can guarantee you that each and every member of Dr. Bird's staff will help you, encourage you and do everything in their power to just plain help. THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY CARE!

Fantastic group of people. If your looking for a family atmosphere, friendly staff, this is the place. I've always been scared of going too the dentist and had some bad experiences. But I felt welcome, comfortable and at home. The staff goes out of their way to see you feel like family. Thank you all for making feel right at home.
