Dr. Robert C. Wilson grew up in Winchester, where he spent 12 years in the public school system. Throughout high school he was very active in both sports and the music program. As a violinist, he had the privilege of playing in the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra for 4 years. He performed in concerts at Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, and at the White House for President John Kennedy. Dr. Wilson attended Yankton College and received a BS Degree in biological science. In addition to his studies in college, Dr. Wilson performed in the college orchestra and was a place kicker for the football team. Dr. Wilson went on to attend the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland for his dental training. Upon completion of his dental training at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Wilson attended the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to receive his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics. After graduation, he returned to Winchester and in 1976 joined in the practice of orthodontics with his father, the late William L. Wilson, D.M.D.

In 1976, Dr. Wilson and his father began the development of the Wilson 3D Modular Orthodontic System that is used throughout the world today. They co-authored three orthodontic textbooks and wrote many articles on the system. The system consists of 10 different fixed/removable orthodontic appliances that provide exceptional efficiency and flexibility with treatment mechanics. Dr. Wilson has given hundreds of orthodontic lectures, seminars, and workshops on the system throughout the United States and the world. Dr. Wilson is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he has taught for many years. Dr. Wilson is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Wilsons passion extends beyond the practice of orthodontics. He is extensively involved in the community he serves. You will find him at many local sporting events, musicals, and community activities. You can often catch him dressing up as a Crest toothpaste tube, making balloon animals, or telling a joke or a story. He is a man of the community that loves doing what he does best, making people smile!

Dr. Robert W. Wilson (known as Dr. Rob) joined the practice in 2006. He grew up in Winchester, where he spent 12 years in the public school system. While in high school, he was very active in both sports and the music program. Dr. Rob attended the University of Notre Dame for college and received his BS in Pre-Professional Science. He went on to attend the Harvard School of Dental Medicine for his dental training. While in dental school he was an active participant in student government as Vice President, as well as participated in local community service programs. Dr. Robs research interests in dental school were in the area of psychophysiology, in particular studying the physiologic reactions of patients to their own self-perception. Upon completion of his dental training at Harvard, Dr. Rob attended the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics. At Tufts, his research interests were in slow palatal expansion using the Quad Helix appliance. Dr. Rob is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Rob truly is passionate about orthodontics, teaching, the community, and helping others. He is a Part-Time Faculty Member at the Harvard School of Dental Medicines Department of Orthodontics, where he enjoys teaching residents both in the classroom and on the clinic floor. It is in the academic setting that he is able to bring together his 70+ year family tradition in orthodontics with many of the current treatment modalities being developed today. Outside of the university setting, Dr. Rob can be found giving talks to students at local schools and health fairs on the digestive system, dental anatomy, and dental health. Dr. Rob also enjoys giving back by sponsoring scholarships for graduating high school students, as well as by supporting many local school programs, after-school curriculums, music programs, and sports programs.

In his free time, Dr. Rob enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have 3 kids, a yellow lab, and a bunnyall of which keep them very busy! When he has time, he enjoys boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, and watching Notre Dame Football (his alma mater).

Dr. Esther Lin was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States with her family after middle school. She attended high school in Virginia and received her BS degree in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary. It was during college that Dr. Lin realized dentistry is a unique field that combines her love for art and the medical sciences. She went on to receive her dental degree from VCU School of Dentistry and graduated with honors. Following dental school, Dr. Lin completed her specialty training in Orthodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Rob.

Dr. Lin is truly passionate about making a positive impact in patients lives through creating healthy and beautiful smiles. During the 3 years of her orthodontic training, she has also grown to love the New England area and is excited to serve the Winchester and surrounding communities with Dr. Wilson and Dr. Rob.
