Dr. James R. Winchester has practiced dentistry and served the Columbus and surrounding areas since 1998. He completed his undergraduate education at The University of Alabama with a degree in Microbiology in 1990. Dr. Winchester received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Tennessee-Memphis in 1994 and completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Memphis in 1995. He also practiced in Centerpoint, Alabama from 1995 to 1998. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia DentalAssociation, and the Western District Dental Society.
Originally from Lanett, Alabama, Dr. Winchester and his wife Traci are proud to call Columbus their home. He and Traci have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and are members of North Highland Assembly of God Church.
Sbrena was born in Northern CA, and now calls Georgia home. She has been in dentistry, working at Winchester Family Dentistry, since 2009. Not only does she love her job, Sbrena loves all the patients that she now calls friends
Anna is originally from Moscow, Russia. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, she attended Moscow State Pedagogical University where she received a degree in adolescent psychology. Most of Annas career, in the United States, has been dedicated to the field of dentistry. After practicing as a Dental Assistant, Anna decided that her dedication to the patient experience and quality care would be exemplified as a practicing Dental Hygienist. Anna received her formal education from Columbus Technical College. Anna loves practicing Dental Hygiene, and she makes sure that each of her patients have the absolute best experience possible. In her free time, Anna enjoys outdoors, bowling and spending time with family and friends.
Joey has been a Hygienist since 2001. She has been working with Dr. Winchester since 2019. You will find that she is compassionate, able to put her patients at ease, and ensures a positive dental experience. Joey loves her career as a Dental Hygienist and considers all of her patients as family. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and three boys.
Josie Swecker has been a Dental Hygienist for 40 years. She received her associates degree in Dental Hygiene and a bachelors degree in General Studies from Columbus State University in 1982. She believes the best parts of being a hygienist are meeting all of the wonderful patients, putting them at ease, and teaching them their health is important. Josie is married and has four children. She loves animals, enjoys spending time with her family and shopping!

Dr. Winchester and his staff are wonderful, kind, caring and professional people. All my life I had a dentist phobia then I found Winchester Family Dentistry, I'll never go to another dentist. You get excellent care from cleanings, to fillings, and even extractions, with a very precise and gentle touch. I highly recommend Winchester Family Dentistry for your families dental needs. From check-in, to check-out , you'll NEVER find a better place!!!

Great atmosphere! Dr. Winchester was fantastic. He saved one of my teeth from where I had a root canal done. Professional, helpful and great at what he does, Staff was a great help as well! Very nice visit. Highly recommend!

Best place I have ever gotten my teeth taken care of! Going to miss them when I move away! Dr.Winchester is the best. He doesn't give you unnecessary procedures and if he can find a way to save your teeth he will do it! The staff and hygienists are amazing as well!

I am so impressed with my experience here. I was able to get an appointment very quickly. The staff was incredibly nice. They even went as far as entertaining my son while I got my teeth cleaned. They were all amazing. Such a positive experience

I have had a lot of dental work in my day, and my experience so far with Dr Winchester has been great. The staff is friendly, and he is really easy to talk to. He explains what he is doing, and it really feels as though he cares about and enjoys helping people feel at ease with dental care.

I found Dr. Winchester through google. And the reviews are right! The office is so clean and Everyone from the front desk to the dental hygienist to Dr. Winchester, they're all wonderful! Aimee did my cleaning, she is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I'm taking my whole family here from now on. It's also a plus that they are in network with our current dental insurance, Ameritas.

We received great care Winchester Family dentistry! We were patients there from 2010-2014 then again in 2016-2019 and if the army sends us back to Benning my family will continue dental care there again! Dr Winchester and staff are exceptional providers and truly care about their patients!
