Our practice features state-of-the-art dental technology to help us provide you with the most efficient and painless treatment, and to save you the time and costs of extra office visits and referral visits. We regularly upgrade our technology, and we are committed to training our team so that we develop expertise in using all our devices effectively and safely. Here is just some of the technology that helps us give you the best in modern dental care.

To help us identify occurrences of caries (cavities and tooth decay) that may be difficult to seeeven with x-raysbecause they are between teeth or in their beginning stages, we use the CamX Spectra Caries Detection Aid. This device uses fluorescence to detect early-stage caries, and its software generates color-coded images and a numerical indication of the depth of cavities and decay. Early detection results in less need for fillings.

Our lab features state-of-the-art CEREC technology, which allows us to scan patients teeth, and then design, mill, and crystallize crowns in a short period of time so that we can place them in patients mouths during a single visit.

Using K-Laser modern pain relief technology, we can prioritize and help ensure your physical comfort before we perform any other treatment you might require. Our laser unit provides pain management and therapy that is safe, non-invasive, and painless.

Our in-office technology also includes a dental CBCT (cone beam computer tomography) unita specialized x-ray unit that allows us to take 3D images of teeth, soft tissues, nerve paths, sinus cavities, and bone within the craniofacial regionso that we may provide you with the most successful cosmetic dentistry possible, and so that we can obtain comprehensive views of head and neck areas involved in the treatments we provide for snoring and sleep apnea, TMJ therapy, and functional orthodontics. The radiation level of the unit is extremely lowabout 1000 times lower than that of a conventional medical CAT scanner. Our dental CBCT unit allows us to complete the imaging we need right in the office, and to streamline your dental treatments.

When it comes to your dental health, the importance of prevention cannot be overstated. X-rays are an integral part of your dental records, yet they give only a certain kind of view of the inside of your mouth. We also use an intraoral camera to show us additional aspects of your teeth and mouth in more detail. This can reveal cavities beside fillings, cracked teeth, plaque deposits, and excessive wear. Discovering these types of problems in their early stages allows us to provide less invasive, more cost-effective treatment.

If necessary, Winchester Dental offers a one-year, deferred-interest plan where our office pays interest to Care Credit for the first year. Our patients can apply for CareCredit online or at our office, whichever is most convenient.

During your first visit, we will perform a full evaluation, which begins with a review of your medical history. Please provide complete, up-to-date information on your health. Let us know if you have experienced recent hospitalization or surgery, or if you have recently been ill. Also tell us the names, doses, and frequency of any medications you are takingwhether prescription or over-the-counter productsand the name of your physician(s). Inform us of any changes in your health or medications. This information will help us select the safest and most effective method of treatment for you.

To assess your current dental health and needs, well take a full set of oral photos, as well as x-rays that allow us to view the structure of your jaws, the position of your teeth, any signs of infection in the gums, and possible cavities.

Were experienced in helping patients with dental anxiety. Our entire team is focused on your comfort. Friendly, compassionate dental assistants will talk to you with genuine caring throughout your visit and hold your hand if you wish. We can help you feel more comfortable with blankets or pillows, headphones to listen to music, a bottle of water, or even a snack! Depending on your needs, we also offer conscious sedation along with certain procedures and treatments.

For your convenience, our practice features an in-office dental lab. The state-of-the-art technology in our lab saves you travel time and extra costs by allowing us to quickly complete certain processes on our premises, including fabricating and placing same-day crowns, making customized retainers, and taking 3D scans of your head and neck.

After 9 years with Winchester Dental it is time to move on. We loved the dentists and hygienists at this practice. What sealed the deal was 3x they cancelled my cleaning appointment, the last was while I was driving there. If I had canceled 1hr prior to arriving, I would have been assesed a fee. The office staff has had some turnover and it is not what it was 9 yrs ago. Also, it seems that they are always wanting to sell you some additional product or service that isn't necessarily needed.

First time getting a root canal and I am uneasy about going to the dentist. I was extremely anxious and obviously had a lot of anxiety. Staff worked with me and kept me calm. They made sure I understood what was going on and did not rush. They are all sweet and kind. I feel like going here may finally get me over my fears of dentists.

WDG has always been very professional and they still have a good time too! They have become another part of my family! Jackie is a fantastic hygienist and I love Dr. Gio and Dr. Leskiv. Personally I am not afraid of the dentist so that helps but they really go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. When I have a procedure done that is new to me, I have them tell me what they are going to do so that I understand.

Winchester Dental has taken care of my teeth since 2008, by referral from a friend. I have had routine cleanings, needed root canals, crowns, extractions, fillings, night guard, and diagnosed with apnea and referred to a pulmonologist. We have been together over 14 years! They have taken care of my 3 daughters and now my mom too. Shout out to Dr Gio!

So I have a pretty extreme fear of dentists. The staff here were so kind and patient with me. I truly feel safe putting myself in their hands for some well over due work. I really cannot say enough how much I appreciate the attitude of this team of kind professionals.

This is a nice, clean facility and everyone I saw was kind and patient. That said, I went in for a cleaning and they said due to mild gum inflammation they would like to do "gingival therapy". Basically all that meant was taking my yearly covered cleaning and breaking it into two visits so that they could polish and floss two weeks later instead of same visit, to "give my gums a break" after the initial cleaning. This would have been over $200 and they did not advise me of that until I asked if it would be covered/what the cost would be. It's not even an additional service, it's breaking up a complete cleaning that should be covered under my insurance unnecessarily. Then, after the hygienist told me my teeth were likely fine, the dentist found EIGHT cavities. I got a second opinion and that dentist said I had one loose existing filling and one small cavity. Also, my insurance was not in network and that was not made clear to me even thought I sent them my card beforehand. The cavities they were going to fill were going to cost over $800. I do not appreciate being upsold on unnecessary treatments or being given an excessively aggressive and unnecessary treatment plan. I would not recommend this dentist.

I needed a filling for my implant, the dentist caused it to break and they only want to credit me $200 toward a $2000 fix. This is likely where fresh graduates go to practice. I'm pretty sure my comment will be deleted to risk exposure.
