Dr. Stacy Wince was born in Olathe, Kansas and grew up approximately 45 minutes west of Kansas City in the small town of DeSoto, Kansas. Dr. Wince was raised working for his father who owned and operated a small excavation business. Working as a heavy equipment operator, he helped pay his way through college, fulfilling a dream of learning a set of skills which would allow him to have a positive impact on peoples lives. In 1998, Dr. Wince graduated from Johnson County Community College with an Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene and then transferred to the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) to pursue a Bachelors degree in biology. It was at UMKC where Dr. Wince was accepted to the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2000 and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2004.
After graduation, Dr. Wince stayed on at the UMKC School of Dentistry and, for two years, worked in the schools Special Patient Care Clinic. At UMKC, Dr. Wince provided care and managed the dental treatment of people being treated for cancer and organ failure. Dr. Wince feels extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to help those in a time of need and the opportunity to have played an integral role in the management and recovery of the people facing these life-threatening illnesses. Dr. Wince found this time very rewarding and helped shape his approach to provide dental care as a whole body philosophy a philosophy in which treatment of a persons dental needs is guided by how it relates to keeping the whole body healthy.
In 2006, Dr. Wince left the UMKC Special Patient Care Clinic and transitioned to private practice dentistry. For the following four years, he practiced as a general dentistry associate, working for Dr. Charles E. Leins of the Olathe Dental Care Center in Olathe, Kansas. The time spent at Olathe Dental Care Center provided an excellent opportunity to learn from a great mentor in Dr. Leins and gain knowledge about the ins and outs of private practice dentistry. Working with Dr. Leins, Dr. Wince learned invaluable skills in how to manage a dental office, manage patient care, and the inner workings of dental insurance providers.
In August of 2010, Dr. Wince moved on from Olathe Dental Care Center to follow his dream of owning a dental practice and became the new face of Wince Family Dental Associates, formerly SunBird Dental. Dr. Wince fell in love with McPherson and knew immediately it would be the perfect place to raise his three young children, Ian, 6, Emme, 5, and Olivia, 3. Dr. Wince and his family now look forward to a bright future and building a new life for themselves here in McPherson, Kansas.
Dr. Joelle Jeffers-Jader is originally from North Dakota and grew up in North and South Dakota, as well as Kansas where her family lives in Garden City. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2001 with a Bachelors in Biology. She then completed a one-year general dentistry residency at the University of Iowa and completed hands-on courses with the Hornbrook Group at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Jeffers worked as an associate dentist in McPherson for eight years and in Salina for two years before returning to McPherson to join Wince Family Dental Associates in January of 2013. Joelles favorite part of her job at Wince Family Dental is getting to know her patients personally and helping them achieve dental health. She is a member of theAmerican Dental Association,Kansas Dental Association, andChristian Medical/Dental Association.
Dr. Jeffers husband Darrin is a native of Marquette and works for Central Plastics in McPherson. They have a thirteen-year-old daughter, Natalie, and an eight-year-old daughter, Mallorie. She and her family attend Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson. In 2002, 2003 and 2005, she traveled with Global Health Outreach to do mission dentistry in Honduras. When shes not caring for patients, Dr. Jeffers enjoys volunteering with youth groups at her church, doing crossword puzzles, watching Natalie play sports and playing with Mallorie outside on the swing set.
