Dr. Restic received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1979. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and from the Orthodontic Residency Program at the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1988.
While at Notre Dame, Dr. Restic won the John W. McMullin award for the Outstanding Monogram Athlete and the Brian V. Kanaley Award for the Outstanding Senior Student Athlete. In 1979, he was selected as a National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete, one of only ten awarded nationally, as well as an NCAA Post Graduate Scholar. Likewise, Dr. Restic was named to various Academic and Athletic All-American Teams. At the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Restic was inducted into the Matthew Cryer Honor Society as well as Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Restic takes great pride in providing the highest quality orthodontic care. Memberships in the following organizations allow him to stay up to date on the most current advances in orthodontic treatment.
At Notre Dame, Dr. Restic was a starting defensive back and punter for the 1977 National Championship Football Team. During his college career, he was fortunate to play in the Gator Bowl, two Cotton Bowls, the East-West Shrine Game and the Japan Bowl; a collegiate All-Star Game played in Tokyo, Japan. In the summer of 2009, Dr. Restic returned to the gridiron and joined a group of Notre Dame Football Alumni in a game against a Japanese All-Star Team. At the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Restic was able to combine his dental studies with a career in professional football, playing three years in the now defunct USFL. He played for the Boston, New Orleans and Portland Breakers. Following the 1985 season in Portland, Dr. Restic enrolled in the Orthodontic Post Graduate Program at the Oregon Health Sciences University. After graduation, he spent three years in the Boston area, practicing orthodontics and coaching football with his father, Joe Sr., who was the Head Football Coach at Harvard University. Ultimately, based on his time in the Portland area, Dr. Restic decided to return to Oregon to achieve the best combination of lifestyle and work environment. He opened his orthodontic practice in Wilsonville in June of 1991.
Likewise, a passion for coaching has led Dr. Restic to coach Youth Football and Lacrosse. Dr. Restic is married to his wife, Susan, and they have two children. Brittany graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2018 and is teaching second grade in Kailua, Hawaii. Eric, recently graduated from Notre Dame and is working for KPMG in Los Angeles, California.

I have been going to Wilsonville Orthodontics since the 3rd grade- well over 20 years. Hands down, the best customer service in both the front and back of the office. Dr. Restic did an excellent job with braces, permanent retainers, spacers, you name it. I had it all. Since removing my braces 9 years ago, Dr. Restic has continued to help with maintenance associated with moving teeth or broken retainers. Dr. Restic and his staff are always so personable and helpful; even after 9 years they still remember where I went to school, what I studied, my family's names, etc. I highly recommend their team for any orthodontics work you might need. They're truly the best!

Dr. Restic is a awesome orthodontist! I was just there last week and got my braces on, and he did a great job! My mom went to his office as a kid when she got her braces and she said he did awesome and he did her other 5 siblings braces also. He's a great orthodontist and DEFINITELY recommend him.

Dr. Joe's office is friendly, professional and made my smile perfect! If I ever have an issue with my retainer or braces they get me in quickly to fix the issue. I would recommend Dr. Joe Restic to anyone wanting to have a beautiful smile and straight teeth.

Dr. Joe and his staff are friendly, on time and a pleasure to work with. I have two daughters who both have beautiful radiant smiles thanks to Dr. Joe's work 10 years ago. I have also seen him for a retainer fix. My husband is now a patient of Dr. Joe. I can't imagine going to another orthodontist!

I went here 14 years ago for braces and loved the care I received. Recently I wanted new retainers because mine were getting gross. I scheduled an appointment and again, was very pleased with the care. Afterwards there was a misunderstanding about billing and the team went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the resolution.
