Dr. Jarid Burley earned his bachelors from Oregon State University and spent several years in the title insurance industry. He returned to school to pursue dentistry and earned his DMD at OHSU. He went on to earn a certificate in endodontics and masters of science in dentistry from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Jarid is a dedicated doctor who spends much free time studying the latest techniques to better his practice of endodontics.
Dr. Jarid was raised near Astoria. He enjoys being in his home state to live and practice. When he is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He also likes to spend time growing fruit trees, fishing, and in Biblical studies.
Brooklyn came to our office with no prior dental experience. She quickly found a love for the dental and endodontic fields. She works as a chairside assistant and in the reception area handling an array of duties.
Melissa is the newest member to our team, bringing an extra smile and warmth to our office. She has found a love for the dental field and hopes to make every patient's experience comfortable and enjoyable.
There are, of course, no guarantees. Root canal or endodontic therapy has a very high degree of success, studies suggest up to 96%. We will discuss with you the chances of success before any endodontic procedure to help you make an informed decision. If a root canal or endodontic therapy is unsuccessful or fails you still have options.
Occasionally a tooth that has undergone endodontic, treatment fails to heal or pain continues despite therapy. Although rare, sometimes a tooth initially responds to root canal therapy but becomes painful or diseased months or years later. When either of these situations occur, the tooth often can be maintained with a second endodontic treatment.
The most common surgical procedure performed to save a tooth is termed an apicoectomy. This is done when infection and inflammation persist in the bony area around the end of your root following a root canal.
Pulp damage is sometimes caused by a blow to the mouth, and the endodontist specializes in treating these traumatic injuries. For example, a blow to a child's permanent tooth that is not fully developed can cause the root to stop growing. A procedure called apexification stimulates bone to be deposited at the end of the root which makes it possible to then save the tooth through a root canal procedure. An endodontist is specially trained in procedures for replanting teeth that have been knocked out of their sockets.

As a child I was afraid of the dentist because it always hurt and I would burst into tears when I saw that needle come towards my face. Today I had a visit at Wilsonville Endodontics with Dr Jarid Burley he took the time to explain everything and he was so gentle I never even felt the needle go in. The cutting edge technology and skill level is outstanding. Anyone who has ever been afraid like me I highly recommend Wilsonville Endodontics. The experience was great and it made my day!

I had such a great experience with Dr. Burley and his staff. I was very anxious to get my root canal done and expressed my concern with Dr. Burley. He did a wonderful job explaining the process with me and I was very comfortable the entire time. I would highly recommend him and his team! I hope I don't have another root canal, but if I need one I know where I am going. :)

I have been an RN for 24 yrs and in ICU's the first 20 yrs of that. This has been the most pleasant dental journey I have ever experienced. I had to have a root canal under an existing crown. I worked with Dr. Jarid Burley. The office is very nice, all the staff were kind and helpful and seemed to really care. "Jarid" is a nice family man in the area, a detailed calm influence with precise hands. They run a very modern office with many high tech influences and availabilities, all centered for pt comfort, care, education, and procedure. He takes the time to explain everything he is doing, and all his high tech procedures, along with rationales for why he uses them. I was very impressed, and that is from someone with decades of experience in health care. He has a theory or ethical stance on Dentistry, probably formed during his education, and then he set out to make it a reality. He seems very patient oriented and this comes across in all his endeavours, in all of his staffing choices, and all of his equipment choices. Really! After enduring blinding nerve pain all weekend, an ER visit where they just didn't know what to do and pumped me full of pain medicine (and since I hadn't been able to eat much in recent days this did not react well with my stomach), I called Wilsonville Endodontics. They not only got me in the same day, called in a prescription early to relieve the inflammation (and convinced the pharmacist to fill it before going to lunch) and after finding the could calm the nerve down enough to do a root canal immediately they stayed late and made sure I was fixed. I arrived an absolute mess from being sick and in pain and left joyous! They are super friendly, the root canal itself was honestly easier than getting the cavity filled and they are such a fun team to listen when they tell stories while working. I hope I don't have to come back but I'll look forward to it if I do!

Wilsonville Emdodontics was recommended by my dentist DR Gates. Best recommendation ever. My first visit was to determine my a need for a root canal , DR Katie Burley spent a lot of time explaining the procedure. She assured me I would feel no pain. I spent many days not eating or sleeping stressing over a root canal. When THE day arrived my husband drove me to the DR since I was a total basket case. The day of the root canal DR Burley explained the entire procedure and answered my questions (I had a lot of questions). I felt absolutely no pain. DR Burley and her staff are wonderful and I was so appreciative of their patience. I hope I won't need another root canal but if I do I will certainly have DR Burley do the procedure. She is amazing.

The endodontist my dentist referred me to wasn't going to be able to see me for almost a month. I called Wilsonville Endodontics, and the very next day I was having my root canal. Awesome. Twenty four hours after my root canal and I'm barely even sore. So glad I don't have to spend the next month in pain! Also, their 3d tooth imaging machine sings at you while it works, best root canal I've ever had, 5/5.

This place is amazing from start to finish. They were able to get me in the same day to see what was going on in my mouth and the procedure the next day. Made me feel at ease explained everything to me. From the receptionist to the dental assistant to the dentist everyone was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I was referred by my dentist who was certain I needed a root canal. I was able to get into Wilsonville Endodontics quickly and was very happy with Dr. Burley's approach. He did additional x-rays that indicated I might not need the root canal after all, and asked if I'd be comfortable with some testing to figure out what the issue was. I really appreciated his conservative approach and willingness to try some things before doing a root canal. I will definitely make this my home endodontic office in future!

I experienced the worst dental pain landing me in Dr. Burley's office...head in my hands, toe curling pain. Dr. Burley was extremely professional, compassionate, and patient during my visit and the following several days checking in with me. Not only did she do what is hard and wait out my experience and differentially diagnose against my desire to fix this fast, but it was exactly the course of treatment needed for the time and I am super grateful she didn't do work that wasn't justified. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
