Dr. Wilson was born the second of three children to James and Lillie Wilson in Lake Charles, LA. Growing up with parents who were born in rural Louisiana, Dr. Wilson was made aware of the disparity and lack of access to dental and medical care. She decided early on that she wanted to pursue a career in the dental field. She graduated, with honors, from Grambling State University with Bachelor of Science in Biology/ Pre-Med/Pre-Dental.
Still driven to reach her goal of becoming a dentist, Dr Wilson attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. While at Meharry, she received several honors, one of which was induction in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She graduated from Meharry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1997.
After graduation, Dr. Wilson decided to move to Houston and became a General Practice Resident at the Houston Veterans Hospital. And under the urging of her program director, Dr. George Goeff, Dr. Wilson decided to become an orthodontist. She attended a 2 year residency program at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC where she received a Certificate in Orthodontics.
Upon completion of her education in 2000, Dr. Wilson realized it was time to start her career as an Orthodontist. She once again moved to Houston because she loved the area and its closeness to Lake Charles, her home.
Welcome to Wilson Orthodontics! I have been in the orthodontic field for 18 years and employed by Dr. Wilson since 2011. I have been married for 14 years and I have 4 kids! (Two boys ages 23 & 22 & two daughters ages 9 & 8) When I am out of the office I enjoy reading and taking vacations with my family.
Hi! I am a graduate of Texas College for Medical and Dental Careers, where I received my certification as an Orthodontist Assistant. Prior to attending Texas College, I attended Prairie View A&M University where I completed my general education studies. I have over twenty years of experience in orthodontic care and continue to stay abreast with the latest technology in orthodontics by attending seminars and yearly conferences. I have one daughter (Lauren) who is a junior at Texas Southern University. I am active in my community and enjoy sporting events and spending time with family.

Obvious sign not to consider for future services. Voicemail and sign on the door says closed for lunch 12p-2p. However, I've been calling for 2 weeks now and visiting during business hours which yield the same result. No answer!!!

My daughter, who has long been a patient, at Wilson Ortho, had her braces removed a month ago and lost her retainer. They wanted to charge me $500 for a replacement. They never gave us a backup retainer or the teeth impression. This is highway robbery! Most teenagers will lose their retainer at some point. To not issue backups, or give us the mold in order to get another set made, and then try to charge $500 for another retainer is absolutely ludicrous! I found another orthodontist office who took my daughter's impressions (and gave us a copy of the mold) and then gave us two retainers, for just slightly more then $300. This service seemed much more patient-friendly, and less predatory.

We chose this orthodontist, after visiting several others. My son's teeth were not an easy case because of missing adult teeth, but Dr. Wilson came up with a plan that worked well. We are about halfway through on his braces. The staff is always kind and helpful, and I believe soon my son will have a smile he will be proud of!

We took a referral to here from Dr.Ellis. I absolutely love the staff. This place is great with great service.They have always been able to adjust to my ever changing schedules. I will refer them to all of my friends & family.

Up until approximately one year before starting with Dr. Wilson, I hadn't been to a dentist, let alone an orthodontist since I was about 4 years old, because of a bad experience. I then spent about a year looking for assistance with my dental situation but ran into issues with either insurance acceptance, cost, adequacy of assistance they were able to provide, etc. I thank God I found Wilson Orthodontics! They are flexible, sociable and I can see the difference in my smile already.
