Dr. Michael Wilson graduated from New York University College of Dentistryin 2005. After practicing fortwo years in New York City,it came to Dr. Wilson's attentionthat there was asignificant unmetneed for dental care inupstate New York. Many dentists are not willing to treat Medicaid patients, as low reimbursements and high no-show rates often accompany this demographic.Dr. Wilson openeda practice in Binghamton in March 2008to address this huge unmet need andincrease access to care for an underserved population. The practice grew to 14 doctors within two years.In late2010, Dr Wilson realized that Syracusealso needed more dentists willing to treat Medicaid patients after a patient had driven an hour down to Binghamtontoreceive specialty treatment at Wilson Dental.
Our team of doctors includes several general dentists and a variety of dental specialists (pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists and anesthesiologists). A similar comprehensive team would be almost impossible to find in Upstate NY.
Although a big part ofWilson Dental'sgrowth has to do with the significant amount ofpre-existing need that existed in these communities before we opened our doors, a lot of it also has to with the caringnature ofour doctors and staff. Patients who have been to our office know that we genuinelycare about them, and that makes them want to tell their friends.

I have been to Waverly, NY and Binghamton, NY offices. Waverly was a very very long wait, I think I was called in almost a hour after my appointment time, but staff is wonderful! Binghamton is a fabulous office, I had all my teeth pulled and Dr. Grannum is absolutely wonderful! 5 stars just for him. I have horrible anxiety with dentists and he made me feel comfortable and at ease. 100% recommend to anyone who has to have oral surgery.

Staff was very nice, lady at front desk wasn't much helpful though, but when I was going to get a yearly clean, the dentist saw a dead tooth and wanted to pull it, he saw another one that was dead and immediately wanted to pull it. Is that all you need to be a high paying dentist, is to just pull every tooth that looks dead??? He was even ready to just take it out, and I refused, so I left. Plus I saw my dentist having a cigarette when I was leaving and that also was another warning not to come back. I've been coming here all my life and now it's sad to see it fall apart.

Go elsewhere if it's possible. I wish I would have read something like this before going. I first want to say that I have never seen a more kind secretarial staff. They were very kind and helpful (the one star is for them). My issue is with the professionalism and quality of work from the medical staff. I won't share the details of my experience, but I will say the quality of work is the worst dental work I have ever received. I had a root canal which involved three separate visits. My first two visits, the dentist left many times for a smoke break. The third visit, he did not. But overall, the process was not professional, and the work I did receive still feels like sandpaper in my mouth after over a month since it was done. Go somewhere else if you are able.

the needle part is wat I hated, but was greatful he didn't pause he is very good at wat he does .pulled 14 teeth out in 2mins no pain & healing very well But I'm hungry can't wait for my Dentures I recommend him to anyone

The staff was friendly. However I've gone twice and wait times can be quite high. Surgery day I waited over an hour. They do have a high volume so I'll give them that. Otherwise no complaints

I couldn't stand the prior dentist Dr. Parra he purposely pulled teeth that did not need pulled and nicked teeth next to those saying oops. That being said I didn't go to a dentist for 2 years after that. I found out he left and they had a new Dentist Dr. Samy. He has done everything I asked. He has saved teeth the other dentist injured. The people giving 1 star~ Communicate. He is understandable, he is personable and he is good at his job. If you tell him what you want and your insurance covers it, he will make it happen. The staff is very friendly and personable as well. I also love the goodie bags they give me at the end of my visits.

I wish I could post without giving a single star. I would not go back to this place. I have probably had teeth removed at this facility that could have been saved. Every appointment I had there, it was always a consult for extraction. The staff was nice. The dentist was hard to understand, not personable at all, made me feel very self conscious about my teeth, and should have considered other options other than extraction. Overall I've had 4 teeth removed, that could have just needed fillings. Usually I wouldn't post a review at all, let alone a terrible one. But after having dental work by a dentist that actually takes his time, I look back with regret.

I'm literally a terrible dental patient, I'm terrified. I had an infected tooth and needed it pulled. I ended having 2 pulled. Mariah was so helpful and reassuring as was the dentist. It's the best experience I've ever had, and despite losing more than one tooth, I will be back. Thank you so much for helping me have this taken care of. I am looking forward to sleeping again and not being in pain constantly.

So I've seen the older guy ( sammy? ) at multiple locations , and I have this idea in my head that he is a time traveler from the early 1800's when dentistry was done by your barber or bartender after a couple drinks while he's smoking a cigarette . He must be racking up dough from fidelis/medicaid because he's the one they send everyone to , you can get a tooth ripped out within a day of calling and making an appointment. I dont hate the guy or this place but you will get zero pain relief other than novacaine . No aftercare script other than ibuprofen. If only he brought his laudenum and ether from the past
