Dr. Michael Wilson graduated from New York University College of Dentistryin 2005. After practicing fortwo years in New York City,it came to Dr. Wilson's attentionthat there was asignificant unmetneed for dental care inupstate New York. Many dentists are not willing to treat Medicaid patients, as low reimbursements and high no-show rates often accompany this demographic.
Dr. Wilson openeda practice in Binghamton in March 2008to address this huge unmet need andincrease access to care for an underserved population. The practice grew to 14 doctors within two years.In late2010, Dr Wilson realized that Syracusealso needed more dentists willing to treat Medicaid patients after a patient had driven an hour down to Binghamtontoreceive specialty treatment at Wilson Dental.
Our team of doctors includes several general dentists and a variety of dental specialists (pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists and anesthesiologists). A similar comprehensive team would be almost impossible to find in Upstate NY.
Although a big part ofWilson Dental'sgrowth has to do with the significant amount ofpre-existing need that existed in these communities before we opened our doors, a lot of it also has to with the caringnature ofour doctors and staff. Patients who have been to our office know that we genuinelycare about them, and that makes them want to tell their friends.

Had 4 impacted wisdom teeth that I needed out, staff was wonderful and made me feel very calm right before the surgery, and after helped me to my car, would recommend to anyone to come here

The Drs and Staff are wonderful, the receptionists AWFUL, I drive a hour to get there and wait another 1/2 hr because I was waiting for a text to come in and again I was FORGOTTEN AGAIN. Wrong really wrong, and disrespectful. THANKS AGAIN Today April 7 2022 I got 2 fillings, it took him I shot for each tooth and it was numb, He gave enough time to get numb, and proceeded, he is fast and he gets things done fast and efficient. I am very happy. Thank You Very Much. Everyone This same Dr made a tooth for me when I grinders one out of my head because of stress, I would recommend this Dental practice to Anyone. Wilson Dental. Side note it has my initials. Cool . Thank You All Again. the Apt on10/26/22 was eventful and I plan to tell everyone about it

They were extremely helpful setting up the appointment as a new patient. Barely any wait time upon arrival. The lady who did my xrays was very patient and nice. The doctor and assistant were very nice too. I'm not sure how people with negative reviews were acting like themselves to receive a negative experience

It was a bit of a wait but I understand due to staff shortages and more through the world. Overall the service was great, the dental assistants and dentist were very calm, nice, patient, and kind. The atmosphere is very comforting.

The ladies that run the desk are very professional, and put up with a lot of cranky customers very well. The dental assistants and dentists are very nice, and are very kind to the patients. They are overworked, overstressed, and underappreciated. Short staffing makes things stressful. I suggest bringing on apprentice students from SUNY Broome and SUNY Binghamton that are studying to be dentists for extra help. Doc is very good at extracting teeth. Computers need synchronization or upgrading. The head receptionist needs a week of paid vacation.

I hate that I have to come here ever. All three times I have come have been a horrible experience. BTW someone else's chart was open while I was left alone for like 15 minutes waiting on the doctor which is a HIIPA violation.

Today I had a consultation that I scheduled back in May as this is the only place that has an oral surgeon and that accepts my insurance. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30 am instead of pm. The ladies at the front desk were friendly. I was able to be seen about 2 hours later which was fine I had to get this done. The anesthesiologist was so very kind. She answered all of my questions told me exactly what was going to happen. Update: Went for my teeth extraction the lady called me in my car for covid questions she was very nice. I was late going back for procedure by like half an hour. The gentlemen doing prep were very friendly. Before I knew it I was waking up with mouth stuffed with gauze. Overall it was pleasant.

They tried pulling all my teeth and theirs literally nothing wrong with my bottom teeth so I highly recommend not going to this dentist very rude on top of it terrible service

Everyone was very nice to talk to. When I checked in they said my appointment was in Binghamton. They found the referral and worked me in. It wasn't a long wait and I had a good appointment.

Staff was polite, courteous and friendly. Wait time was not long at all before the technician retrieved us from the waiting room. Wilson Dental was very good about keeping mine and my kids appointments together and back to back. X-rays were easy and fast. Didn't wait to long for the hygienist to clean our teeth. Thorough yet timely with cleaning our teeth. Documentation was thorough and all staff was well trained. Everyone was professional and did a nice job on my and my daughters teeth. My only complaint is the Dentist talked about having my daughters teeth looked at for braces or retainer and to set up a consultation with the orthodontist there and no one has called made an appointment for that as of yet. I will be following up on that. That's about my only complaint. I would recommend Wilson Dental to my friends and family as of today. We shall see what future business with them will hold.

Went in for new patient appt/cleaning seen by Dr. Reiza and hygienist Justine. Was informed that the stain in-between my two front teeth could NOT be removed, due to it being a cavity, unless I got fillings! I declined the fillings, two weeks later after being fed up with seeing a brown spot in-between my two front teeth, I took a q-tip with tooth polishing compound, rubbed on the stain, and it easily came off!!!! Steer clear of this place! Deceptive, dishonest and obviously untrained absolutely disgusted. Worst dental visit ever!!!
