Dr. Rachel Perlitsh grew up in a dental family and knew early on that she wanted to work in health care. She worked throughout high school with her father, Dr. Max Perlitsh, who is a well-known and respected retired Periodontist and a former chairman of the Tufts Periodontics Department. Dr. Perlitsh enjoyed and explored all areas of dentistry. She was most fascinated by growth and development and loved working with teenage patients and parents which lead her to decide on orthodontics as her career.
Dr. Perlitsh graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1991. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the prestigious National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Perlitsh also received the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award for Excellence. Following graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 1992. Following her residency program, she returned to the Tufts University Post Graduate Orthodontic Program, where she earned her degree in 1994.
Dr. Rachel has two children. Her son graduated Bates college with a Biology Degree in 2016 and is an avid photographer and videographer. Her daughter attends Brown University and is an Economics and French major. Both Dr. Rachels children love skiing and have both competed competitively and worked as ski coaches. In her spare time Dr. Perlitsh enjoys cycling, hiking, singing with her Soul Sisters and spending time with family and friends.
Maria has been a member of our team since 2006. Maria will greet you warmly at our front desk with an engaging smile. She is our financial/insurance coordinator and will work diligently to answer and aid with your financial questions. She graduated from UMass Lowell with a bachelors in liberal arts. She has lived in Wilmington for the past 25 years with her husband and 3 children. Maria enjoys the outdoors, gardening, walking and spending time with her family.
Jillian has worked in all areas of our office. She began as a sterilization technician in 2013 while attending the Shawsheen Tech Dental Assisting Program. Following graduation from high school, Jill expanded her skills and became a certified dental assistant all while working towards her bachelors degree. She is currently in charge of our Invisalign and Dental Monitoring programs. Jill is always ready to greet you at the front desk with a smile. In her free time Jillian loves hiking, skiing and spending time with her dog Lilly.
Laurie has been a member our team since the beginning. She is a highly experienced, licensed orthodontic assistant and a graduate of Middlesex Community College. Laurie works in our office as both an orthodontic assistant and lab technician fabricating our in house retainers and other detailed appliances. Laurie spends her free time renovating her camp in New Hampshire as well as skiing and gardening.
Claire has enjoyed working for Orthodontists for her entire career in dentistry. Claire is a highly experienced certified and licensed orthodontic assistant. She received her degree from Boston University Graduate School of Dentistry. She has been working with Dr. Perlitsh since 2004 and previously worked for her predecessor, Dr. George Deemys for many years. Claire makes her home in Methuen with her husband, Jim. They have three grown sons and five beautiful grandchildren. Claire loves spending time with her family and riding her horse, Cisco.
Cali recently joined our team in March of 2020. She is a soon to be graduate from Shawsheen Tech in the Dental Assistant program. She is applying to colleges to pursue her goal of becoming an orthodontist! In the office Cali works as a sterilization technician, as well as taking patient records. In her free time Cali enjoys going to her lake house, attending dance classes, and spending time with her friends and family.

Loved everything about todays experience-- the office is bright and fun vibes. Loved how thorough our initial consult was, and that Dr. Perlitsh took the time to explain everything to us, in terms my 15 year old son could understand. I feel so confident in his plan and I'm excited to continue with this practice!!

Cannot say enough about how amazing Dr Perlitsh and her staff are. They are professional, committed and caring. From initial assessment to comprehensive follow up I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend Dr Perlitsh to anyone needing orthodontist work. They exceeded all my expectations.

Amazing experience, would recommend to anyone. The entire staff was very much patient focused, and use of modern technology (e.g., 3D imaging) made my experience and understanding of my condition that much better.

We are so grateful for Dr. Perlish and her amazing team. Both my kids are patients and their individual orthodontic needs were very challenging. After a long journey my son has a gorgeous smile and my daughter is well on her way. Thank you all especially to Ms. Claire Spencer for referring us.

My experience today was excellent. Everyone in the office are so professional and they care about there patients. Doctor Rachel is an expert in her field. She was so thorough and explained my treatment very clearly. The have state of the art machines and the technician was very nice. Amazing how much technology there is today! I am planning to take the next steps in my treatment. Then we will meet again and revisit my treatment so we can take next steps. Thank you for a great experience! Anna

I have been to several ortho practices and Wilmington Ortho and Dr. Perlitsh and her team are far superior. This doctor is passionate and intelligent - she looks for long term solutions and communicates clearly and honestly! A real gem, run don't walk if you have ortho needs!!!!

I went to Dr Rachel a few years back after I made the mistake of letting my daughters regular dentist put on braces. Years after getting them off and numerous cleanings no one told me what I was shocked to find out. I went to Dr Rachel for a consult as to why my daughters teeth were protruding out and she told me she had root absorption to which I was never made aware that braces can cause this. My poor child almost lost her permanent teeth. Dr Rachel made me no promises to be able to correct what was mistakenly done but she did everything in her power to come up with a plan and promised to do everything she could. Sent me to one periodontist specialist to correct the gums in front. She then used Invisalign on my daughter and gave us a future showing of what she hoped would be the outcome. When I tell you the outcome was a 10 plus!!!! We could have never imagined to have results like we have with what seemed a grim start. She was thorough, precise, honest and extremely talented. I am forever grateful to you for what you have done. I can't say enough about this office. Knowledge from the entrance to the exit. Pleasant environment!! I would give you 100 stars if I could. Dr. Rachel and her staff are extremely professional, meticulous and always willing to answer questions. They have the most up-to-date technology which makes getting braces for the second time in 30+ years so much better than the first!

For most of my life, my teeth were deemed unfixable by orthodontists. This office changed everything. With much better technology, they were able to completely straighten my teeth. I have never been able to smile in public, for over 20 years, until now. I am truly happy with the way my teeth look now. My confidence has honestly never been better, and I never have to be ashamed of my smile ever again. Everyone here is amazing at what they do. Dr. Rachel and her team are truly experts in this field, and some of the most respectful people I have met. They even cheered for me when I showed up one day and showed them my new smile. I will never forget that.
