Dr. Nick Mattila grew up in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Biochemistry. He proceeded to the University of Minnesota-School of Dentistry; graduating in 2010. He worked in private practice for three years in South Dakota before moving to Green Bay in June of 2013.
A member of the Wisconsin Dental Association and the American Dental Association, Dr. Mattila is deeply committed to providing comprehensive dental care through positive, personalized treatment for each patient.
Dr. Mattila truly loves his career and the work he is able to do. He also enjoys time with his young family. Dr. Mattila enjoys scuba diving, exploring Wisconsins beautiful parks and cheering for the Packers. He has two young children.
We warmly welcome Dr Elese McClarie to Willow Bay Dental. Dr McClarie is originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado Denver and earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Arizona. She has since practiced dentistry in Illinois and Texas and is excited to continue practicing dentistry here in WISCONSIN!
She appreciates the diversity dentistry offers and enjoys getting to know her patients. Providing a positive and gentle dental experience for patients and educating them is a goal she strives to achieve every day.
During hygiene visits I encourage patients to ask as many questions as possible. This allows me to personalize treatment and enable patients to be involved in their treatment. I also stay current on new technologies, hygiene products and attend continuing education classes regularly.

Dr. Nick is a "life changer"! Most of my crown and bridge work was over 40 years old. After being told by another dentist that "I bet you wished you had taken better care of your teeth as a child." and never doing a thorough exam I made an appointment with Dr. Nick. He was very kind and knowledgeable and after a very thorough exam and full set of x-rays set up a consultation with my husband and I. His treatment plan which he took the time to thoroughly explain and answer questions included choices. I chose implants at his suggestion. Even though it was a difficult process Dr. Nick was very reassuring and made me as comfortable as possible through sedation. After the healing time and placement of the implants my mouth has never felt better! I am 75 years old and to finally experience no discomfort is life changing!!! I can finally keep my teeth clean without discomfort and can eat anything once again! Dr. Nick is so knowledgeable, skilled and kind. I will forever appreciate his work!

We loved our old dentist Dr. DeGrave (started at his practice in 2006) and started coming here after he joined the practice. The staff that we loved at Dr. DeGrave's office is long gone and Dr. DeGrave retired. The receptionist is rude every time we visit and has no respect for patient time. At my last appointment, I had to wait for 20 minutes while she was training a new person to be able to check out. I do have a job I need to get back to and the kids do need to get back to school. Today, my entire family was scheduled to come in. We followed CDC guidelines and are past the quarantine time from having COVID (all over 10 days out from our positive tests, in fact 2 weeks out or longer depending on the person). We are back at work/school unmasked at this point. They told us we couldn't have our appointments. What a waste of our time to drive there from Kewaunee. If they are not following CDC guidelines (which their website says they are), then they should be stating this when they call patients for the reminder. Not telling us this when we arrived after taking off time from school and work and driving there. Instead they told me that I should have called and asked? Why would I think they wouldn't be following CDC guidelines? I also do not need to fill out the same exact forms every six months when none of my information has changed. I don't appreciate how every time we come to the Dentist, the receptionist makes a rude comment about my son Kile's name and not knowing if his name is a girl name (Kylee) or not. He is named after my Great Grandparents last name, Kile. They never had a problem with people pronouncing it and either does Kile, except for at Willow Bay Dental Care. I can understand this happening once, but not multiple times. The way it is said is with disapproval about how we spelled our kid's name. That is not the job of the receptionist and it is irritating. Make a note in your records if this is a problem for you to remember. We never had this problem at Dr. DeGrave's office. After today, my family and I are now going to a different dentist.

Everyone at this office is just wonderful, from the front staff, Becky was really pleasant at check in and remembers me every time I go in! Also their office manager, Alex is always so personable. But most of all Dr Nick is great! He made my Invisalign treatment amazing. I am in love with my smile, thank you does not cut it for this office they truly go above and beyond!

Willow Bay Dental has by far been my favorite dentist office! They are all so friendly and welcoming! Starting off at the front desk with Becky! She is always so nice, helpful, and cheerful! Alex also always adds a warm smile and laugh! Then going back to get my teeth cleaned by Carrie, I can tell she is so knowledgeable and is always so friendly and efficient! Finally Dr. Nick always comes in with a great attitude and gets the job done! Overall, it really is a great group of staff and I always feel well cared for!

I've been to 3 dentists in the Green Bay Area and I have to say I wish I found this place sooner! EVERYONE is very friendly and helpful. Just reading some of these past negative reviews makes it seem hard to believe with my last couple of visits and experience. Aimee was very professional and informative while she was cleaning my teeth. Highly recommend!

I had some long overdue dental work done at Willow Bay and the experience was quick and painless. Doctor Elese was reassuring, pleasant and professional, I will absolutely return!

Great location and the tooth fountain is great! The front office staff makes you feel right at home immediately when walking through the door. My appointment was on time and seems to be an extremely professionally run office! Would recommend to anyone

I would recommend this dental office. The staff is professional and pleasant. Becky was awesome at helping navigate an insurance situation. All in all good experiences here.

Beware of this dental facility. Had an inexperienced person who did not know how to take X-rays--extremely bad situation took place. Also the office manager needs to take lessons on on patient customer service. Not telling patient "accidents do happen" -- words cannot express the bad experience I went through! Stay away from here!

This dentist is absolutely terrible, they change your appointment times because it's convenient for them and when you show up for the original appointment time they refuse to see you. The office manager claimed to be talking to the "providers" but never reached out to me for a resolution. The customer service is terrible and basically doesn't care about their clients. Never again will I or anyone from my family step foot in this facility. If I could give them less than a star I would.

I've lived in about 8 states and this is the BEST dentist I've ever been to in the entire country. Not only was the cleaning thorough, it was very educational! I left feeling confident that I had the best plan in place for my oral health. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt the best dental office I've been to and it sounds crazy but even my kids like going there. The technology is fantastic, everyone I've encountered there is incredibly friendly, the appointments have always been on schedule, and Dr. Nick is great at what he does. He did my crown today with no pain or discomfort, far quicker than my other crown done somewhere else. I was eating and drinking like nothing ever happened an hour later. They're also taking every precaution they can to protect everyone from Covid and that was greatly appreciated.

I had the opportunity to have my teeth cleaned today by Debbie. She did a wonderful job, she was very pleasant and friendly. Dr Nick stopped in to do an exam and we discussed a new night guard for my sleep apnea now that my Invisalign is complete. What a knowledgeable dentist.
