Dr. Willis grew up in Lancaster, California. He attendedOHSU Dental Schooland has been practicing dentistry here in Salem since 2000. Dr. Willis enjoys providing all aspects of dentistry for his patients. Services include routine and emergency care, cosmetic dentistry, bonding, dental bridges, dental crowns, teeth whitening (including Colgate Visible White in-office whitening), veneers, teeth cleaning, tooth extraction, dental implants, dentures, TMJ treatmentsand sleep apnea therapy.
He regularly attends continuing education classes to keep abreast of the latest trends in dentistry. Most recently Dr. Willis has spent a considerable amount of time studying cosmetic dentistry and the restoration of broken and worn teeth to their original healthy and beautiful state. He also has attended many courses on the technique of the placement and restoring of dental implants.
As one of the best dentists in Salem Oregon, Dr. Willis, and his wife Shannon are family-oriented. They have 1 daughter (Megan) and 4 sons (Matthew, Benjamin, Samuel, and Elijah) who keep them busy running to and from a variety of activities. When they have a free minute they enjoy spending time together as a family at the coast, in the garden, or exploring Oregon.

Loved going here, I got such a nice and gentle dental assistant. She got X-rays the first time with no issues. The doctor came in and looked and my tooth and explained everything before treatment. Their office is very welcoming, clean and professional! Highly recommend this office.

I would highly recommend Willis Dental if you are looking for a new dental home. My husband and I have been patients there for almost a year now. Our hygienist is Stacy and she is wonderful and does a great job! I had to have some implant crowns done recently. Dr. Nelson and his assistant Alison work together so well. The crowns went on with hardly any adjustments needing to be made. I couldn't be happier!! Thank you Willis Dental.

I've been in the dental chair many times, but I must say this office is the most professional, personal care I've experienced.Definitely recommend Dr Brock Nelson. The front desk was excellent to work with me as well. Very pleasant.

Allison and Dr. Nelson were incredibly kind. I came in with some serious concerns and anxiety about a situation that had been unfolding for the last few days, and Allison REALLY listened so carefully as I explained all my symptoms and concerns. She didn't rush me AT ALL and was super encouraging and compassionate. Dr. Nelson also was so knowledgeable and did not seem like he was in a rush to move me along - just very thorough and treated me and my thoughts and my symptoms with great respect. Very much appreciated, especially since I'm traveling and away from my normal care providers!

As a new patient to Willis Dentistry, I am pleased to write this review for others to consider moving to this dental practice. The entire staff are polite, helpful, and have positive attitudes towards their patients. Was a pleasure to meet Dr. Nelson as my new dentist. I am especially grateful to Stacey as my hygienist as she did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. BTW; in the past, Stacey has cleaned my teeth at another office which is one reason for coming to Willis Dental. Secondly, here you know who your dentist is. The other office had rotating staff. Much like the "pick a number" style where you don't know who you are seeing until you sit in the chair. If you are reading this, you should consider trying Willis Dental!!

I broke a tooth a few days ago and called for an appointment not expecting an immediate date and time, but to my surprise they took me the day I called, within the next two hours! Imagine my surprise! More surprises when I got to their office. It was modern and very friendly. Dave Willis is an exception in professionalism, dental knowledge and competence. AND, I left there without pain.

The whole staff was amazing. I have (recently) developed a severe anxiety about going to the dentist, and the whole staff was extremely gentle and checked in with me regularly to see if I needed any breaks/time/etc. They were able to get SEVEN cavities filled in ONE SESSION! They were super informative, and didn't scold/lecture me. They even found a cystic infection from an old root canal (through x-rays), and referred me to a root canal specialist to get it taken care of. I can't recommend Willis Dental more, even with my severe fear/anxieties about going to a dentist.

Had a wonderful experience. I haven't been to the dentist in over 2 years due to covid and decided to change dental practices due to last dentist office was big on selling things. Liz the dental hygienist was a rockstar, so sweet and gentle. I would highly recommend this office!
