Dr. James Willis is the Founder and CEO of Willis & Associates Family Dentistry. He is instrumental in shaping and overseeing the dental groups growth, strategy and culture. In 2012, Dr. Willis completed the Crozet Family Dental transition and set out to create a patient centered model. His belief in putting patients first is the fundamental to our dental groups core values and patient care delivery model. Ensuring quality training for doctors, placing only the very best materials in patients mouths, and treating patients like family are tenets in his practice model. Dr. Willis believes the dental practice goals are best aligned with patients when the clinics are owned and directed by a dentist leader. He is very passionate about emerging technology and its applications to advance the dental industry.
Having a natural talent for finding and cultivating leadership and growth within people, he has built a first-class dental organization of leaders from the top down. Additionally, under Dr. Williss leadership the dental group has grown rapidly to become one of Virginias fastest growing and most respected organizations. It has received several honors and awards. Some of the more notable ones are being recognized as the first platinum providers in Invisalign as a GP in the Charlottesville/Augusta region, 8 plus back to back year winners of Charlottesville Family Favorite awards, voted top Dentist in Virginia Living magazine, and best Chairside manner awards in Ourhealth.
Dr. Willis is just as dedicated to the community as to its patients. Over time, Dr. Willis has donated to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Young Life Christian Organization, and local schools such as Brownsville Elementary.
Dr. Emery Taylor was born and grew up in Staunton, Virginia. He attended college at Virginia Tech, receiving a bachelor of science degree in biology. From there he went to the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
After dental school, Dr. Taylor served as a dental officer in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Hamilton, New York. From there he and his family moved to Crozet, where he founded Crozet Family Dental in September, 1975. Dr. Taylor began working at Willis & Associates Family Dentistryin 2014. 2016marks his 40th year of service as a doctor of dental surgery in central Virginia.
Dr. Brian Podbesek was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. He attended West Virginia University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the honors program, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 2007. Following graduation, he entered West Virginia University School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011. Doctor Podbesek then went to the University of New Mexico for a one-year dental residency, where he received additional training in advanced dental procedures, as well as hospital, sedation, pediatric, and implant dentistry. He obtained a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry upon completion of the program in 2012.
Doctor Podbesek joined the practice in 2014, and is continuing the tradition of high-quality, cosmetic, implant and family dentistry at Willis & Associates: Family Dentistry. He is excited to be working in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and improving the oral health of residents of Augusta County and the surrounding area. Doctor Podbesek is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Shenandoah Valley Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Aside from dentistry, Doctor Podbesek enjoys playing a variety sports and spending time outdoors. He can be found biking, fishing, and camping during the summer, and skiing during the winter months. An avid Mountaineer fan, he enjoys West Virginia sports and attending games whenever possible.

There is a positive improvement with the dentist in Churchville. This practice has had a difficult time retaining a dentist. Hopefully we will be able to keep this Dentist. As always the hygienist does an outstanding jobAnd the front desk does a wonderful job also. Dr. Willis is a wonderful dentist and does a great job with Invisalign's. I would strongly encourage anybody thinking of getting Invisalign's to go forth getting them. Dr. Brian in the Fishersville office and the staff at that office or an outstanding group of people and do very fine work.

Yhe hygienist and front desk staff are out of this world the problem with this office is the new dentist says you need a filling every time she does an exam witch i would believe if i had bad teeth but in the last year and a half she has said i need more fillings then i have in my entire life. I use to recommend this office to everyone i know since she has came to the office i discourage people from going to this office

In the past, I have had relatively good experiences with this office. I do not like that the providers are not consistent and you never know which dentist you will have until the day of your appointment. Recently I had an appointment scheduled for the end of the year. I even received an appointment confirmation via text. I showed up for my appointment and the office was closed. I verified I had the right day and time and sure enough, I did. No one answered the phone so I left a message. It took this office over a week to return my call. After being a patient of theirs for several years, it was very upsetting to be treated this way. I took a day off from work for nothing.

My husband and I switched from Staunton Dental Care to Willis Family Denistry and we're so glad we did!! Staunton Dental Care quoted me a treatment plan of $8000! Thankfully, I got a second opinion with Willis and spent around $300 to get my teeth fixed.. The staff is phenomenal, the dentist is knowledgeable and thorough. The prices are fair as well. Thanks Melissa and staff for all your help and kindness because I'm the biggest baby when it comes to the dentist.

Two fillings and one tooth pulled, couldn't have been any better! Dr. Yau and her assistant, Noel, were the best! I highly recommend this practice!

My wife went to this dentist in Churchville to try and see what could be done about a cavity. They recommended a root canal costing $800 out of pocket after insurance. They charged $225.50 that day out of pocket just to get it looked at. We decided not to go with that and went to another dentist for a 2nd opinion. Today I got a letter in the mail from my insurance company where this dentist charged my insurance for a root canal. I contacted the insurance company who contacted the dentist about it, the lady in the office at the dentist told the insurance company that they started a root canal and that they would rebill the insurance for a partial root canal. They never started a root canal. Not only did that get me for $225.50, they got my insurance for $900. All for work that was never performed.

Dr Podbesek is great. He is one of the Associates with Willis Dentistry. You cannot go wrong seeing him. He really cares and will give you an accurate treatment plan. I have been working in dentistry for over 20 years and am very particular who works on my teeth and my children. Trust me there are a lot of dentist who are all about the money but Dr Brian Podbesek is not one of them. He will give you an accurate treatment and everything will not always be a crown or three surface filling. He takes time to explain things and discuss options if any are to be had. He does not expect your trust, he earns it. Behind scene that you don't see he is always studying charts, or preparing for big and small cases. If looking for a dentist in this area I would advice you to see Dr Brian Podbesek in Fishersville.

Went there to primarily get a tooth extraction. Jessica ,the hygienist, was very friendly, intelligent and showed care and concern. Dr. Levo was very professional. He did a great, simple job with the extraction. Felt zero pain. However the only reason this wasn't a five star experience is because I felt very pressured by the dentist to get a root canal or crownings instead of the extraction. I am on a little budget and have no insurance so I could not afford the plan they wanted me to have. Jessica seemed understanding to my situation but Dr. Levo didn't as much. It felt like his whole attitude changed when I opted for the cheap extraction instead (which was my reason for being there). I would definitely go back if this happens to another tooth but I am hesitant if they are going to pressure me again into more expensive options.

Amazing service. Dr. Tuan Levo was very personable. He made sure my toothache issue was resolved very quickly. He was very knowledgable, and made sure my visit was a fun one (Which anyone knows, going to the dentist is never fun). I would highly recommend this office to friends. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
