Many dentists dont enjoy seeing children- but that couldnt be further from the truth at Smiles Dental! When we say family dentistry, we mean it! Dr. Timm recommends your child be seen within 6 months of their first tooth erupting or by no later than age 1. Whether your childs treatment needs consist of cleanings only or includes fillings find comfort in the fact that Dr. Timm loves to see children for all of their dental needs. We are equipped with laughing gas and overhead movies, should your son or daughter need some distraction. We proudly see children on the hawk-i dental benefit program.
There are few things that compare to a toothache or a broken tooth. At Smiles Dental, we strive to make ourselves available to our patients when an unexpected tooth issue arises. Give our offices a call and we will make our best accommodations to see you the same day and address your dental emergency.
But wait, arent sealants and fluoride only for children? No way! Dr. Timm performs a comprehensive assessment of your individualized risk for getting cavities. When your risk factors indicate it, choosing preventative dental sealants and regular fluoride treatments now can save you thousands of dollars years down the road.
Whether its due to cavities or a chipped tooth, no one will ever know you had a filling done! Todays advancement in dentistry allows for a metal-free alternative to dental fillings. Tooth colored fillings look like natural teeth and help restore the beauty of your smile!
When a tooth is broken, cracked, or has a large cavity a dental crown can be used to increase the strength and prevent further breakdown of your teeth. Dr. Timm proudly uses local dental labs that fabricate dental crowns and bridges that fit your mouth and bite perfectly.
Missing teeth shouldnt keep you from smiling. A dental implant is the tooth replacement option that best mimics natural teeth. A titanium screw, that acts like a tooth root, is put into your gums. Once healed, a crown is fabricated to sit on top of the screw. You can eat, talk, and floss dental implants as if they were natural teeth! Dental implants may also be used to better help anchor a denture into place.
Missing several or all of your teeth? Complete and partial dentures may be the right option for you. Both types of dentures help maintain chewing function and esthetics but are removed at night. Just like natural teeth, complete and partial dentures need to be properly taken care and regular checkups with Dr. Timm are still essential.
Ever wake up with a sore jaw? Has Dr. Timm or another dentist noticed wear on your teeth? Over 40 million Americans suffer from night time tooth grinding. Wearing a custom night guard can help maintain your teeth for a long time!
Thanks to the likes of LeBron and Steph Curry, athletic mouthguards have made an appearance in the main stream. Beyond their newfound popularity, athletic mouthguards are incredibly important for protecting your teeth during sporting and other high impact events. There are no over the counter mouthguards that compare to the protection and comfort a custom mouthguard will give you.
Find yourself with a severe toothache, sensitivity to biting, or recent trauma to your mouth? If so, you may be in need of a root canal (otherwise known as endodontic therapy). A root canal is how Dr. Timm cleans out an infection in the nerve of your tooth and helps to prevent future tooth infections. Better yet, its a relatively painless procedure and helps you maintain your teeth!
Bleeding gums? Bad breath? Unexplained loose teeth? Nearly 50% of Americans have some form of periodontal disease (gum disease). The first line of defense against gum disease is a deep cleaning. Both Dr. Timm and the hygienists at Smile Dental are highly trained to provide a deep cleaning and help get your gums back to full health.
ClearCorrectis the clear and simple alternative to braces. Its a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them, each aligner moving your teeth just a little bit at a time.
Theyre practically invisible, so most people wont even know youre in treatment, they fit you perfectly, so theyre more comfortable than regular braces, and theyre removable, so you can eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.
Have you ever wondered how to take your smile to the next level? Or felt that wrinkles and lines distracted from your esthetics? Have you wanted to explore a non-surgical, minimally invasive method to rejuvenate your look?
