Dr. Mogrovejo was born and raised in Cuenca, Ecuador. After finishing his dental degree in Ecuador, Dr. Mogrovejo advanced his dental education at the University of California. He then went on to complete his specialty in Periodontics and dental implants jointly with his masters in Oral Biology at the Dental College of Georgia in 2016. After his extensive training, Dr. Mogrovejo practiced in Texas while his wife finished her residency at Baylor.
With specialty certificate and moderate/conscious IV sedation permit, Dr. Mogrovejos areas of expertise include dental implants, sedation dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, soft and hard tissue grafting, laser treatment, and treatment of periodontal disease and peri-implantitis. Dr. Mogrovejo conducted award winning research in the field of Periodontics and Dental Implants, and was invited to present at various national meetings.
Mogrovejo is a triathlon enthusiast and enjoys any physical activity, especially if its outdoors. Dr. Mogrovejo is married to Dr. Alyssa Martini, a general dentist. They were both drawn to Williamsburg, VA because of its beautiful historic charm, and its family friendly atmosphere. Dr. Mogrovejo, his wife, and one-year old son (Mateo) enjoy the outdoors, local restaurants, and being involved with their community.

I went in and received a friendly greeting. After a short wait I was led to a room where I would spend the next two hours. Nice music, friendly conversation (Hillary was great). I almost fell asleep at one point... No, I'm not talking about a day spa, I'm talking about my two hour deep scale cleaning at Williamsburg Periodontics. Normally I am terrified of getting dental work done, and when I pulled into the parking lot my stomach was in knots. But by the end I was feeling relaxed. When was the last time dental work made you feel relaxed? Highly recommended.

Dr. Mogrovejo is the best! He came highly recommended to me by an Orthodontist I saw and after being a patient of his for over a year now I can honestly say that he and his staff are very friendly, caring and AMAZING! I had the LANAP surgery done a year ago. I had feelings of being nervous and not knowing what to expect and what made the procedure comfortable was the reassurance he gave me and just listening and answering any questions I had prior to and even the day of the surgery. All in all, he is highly recommend to friends and family. Keep up the great work Dr. Mogrovejo and Staff!!

If I could give more stars I definitely would!!! I have had trouble with my mouth all of my adult life and every dentist I ever went to made me feel awful about myself and I would struggle to go back. I was referred to Williamsburg Periodontist by the dentist I tried to go to. I went into the regular dentist for an appointment and they were very rude to me and had me in tears, they gave me the number to Williamsburg Periodontist and I called as soon as I got to my car, they saw me immediately. When I got there they made me feel so comfortable from the minute I walked through the door!! I was crying when I got there but smiling by the time I left!! Dr. Mogrovejo and his staff are WONDERFUL!! They did laser therapy on me and saved my teeth!!! I enjoy going on my visits, the staff are all so sweet and friendly and I would recommend them to anyone and have!!!

I shattered my front teeth as a young girl and they had to be replaced with gold post and crowns at age 19. I had gold post with crowns and experienced multiple bone infections. After many surgeries I was told I was not a candidate for implants. In the spring of 2020 I came to see Fernando Mogrovejo with little hope my smile could ever be as it once was. I had both teeth and posts removed and bone grafting that resulted in having implants with new crowns. Now at age 64 my smile has given me back my confidence! Dr. Mogrovejo and his staff are professional and friendly and collaborated to turn my dental nightmare into a dream come true. Great office, good people.

Dr. Mogroveo now owns the periodontal practice singly. Dr Schroer has his own practice elsewhere. I went to Dr Mo more than a year ago for laser surgery. It was a painful procedure particularly on one side of my mouth. Since the surgery 5 teeth have loosened and 3 have been extracted. I am still seeing my dentist regularly because of the recurring infections, bridge work and implants. The repercussions from Dr Mo's surgery are extraordinarily expensive. The office staff was very kind and helpful. The office was very clean and Covid rules were followed.

From day 1 I explained that I was not to be given a specific drug. It was written in my chart and I reiterated it at every appt. I have a bad reaction to the drug. However, Dr Mo took it upon himself to give it to me anyway! When a patient tells you they do not want something given to them YOU LISTEN AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! This drug could have caused a severe reaction and his response was he "wanted to see what would happen. " WHAT??? I have since found another Periodontist and filed a complaint on Dr Mo!

I was a customer at this place, people seemed super nice, spent thousands of dollars, but the day I had to cancel my appointment bc I just simply couldn't afford it atm they charged me a 75 dollar cancellation fee... sorry but if someone has spent thousands of dollars at your company and you charge them a cancellation fee, they make plenty of money, I'm sure my 75 dollars wasn't needed.. especially after I spent thousands. just can't wrap my head around that.
