Dr. George T. Williams was born and raised in Canton, Ohio and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He the graduated from The Ohio State University with his Bachelor of Science (1978) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (1981). Dr. Williams then completed a General Practice Dental Residency at St. Lukes Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio before returning to Canton. Using state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Williams has been specializing in reconstructive, cosmetic, preventive and restorative dentistry since 1982.
Dr. Williams accomplishments can be found in both the dental and local community. He is a delegate to the Ohio Dental Association and has served as President of the Stark County Dental Society. Dr. Williams is an attending faculty member at Mercy Medical Center's Dental General Practice Residency and enjoys teaching residents on Friday mornings. He is a member of the:
Dr. Williams is also an active member and volunteer in several local and civic organizations. He participates with Sisters of Charity Foundation, lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael, Lebanese American Association and is an advocate of Ohios statewide Bethlehem Project. He is also a founding member of the Patriot Dinner Club.
Dr. George R. Williams was born and raised in The Hall of Fame City of Canton, Ohio having attended Central Catholic High School. Ever a Buckeye, Dr. Williams Jr. graduated with his Bachelor of Science (2010) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (2014). He then returned home to Canton and completed a two-year General Practice Dental Residency, becoming chief resident his second year, at Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Williams Jr. realized his childhood dream in 2016 joining his fathers practice.
Dr. Williams participates in many organizations in the greater Canton area. He is a lector at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, director for the Lebanese American Association, and on several committees for the Stark County Dental Society and Ohio Dental Association.
Dr. Tony Johnson was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio and attended Central Catholic High School. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science (2009) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (2013) at The Ohio State University. Dr. Tony then returned home and completed a General Practice Dental Residency at Mercy Medical Center.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Stark County Dental Society. Dr. Tony has completed classes in the Comprehensive Dental Excellence Forum, University Series, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. He is faculty member at Dental Residency at Mercy Medical Center.
One of our practices main focuses is to keep patients comfortable. We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is highly trained and skilled, striving to provide energetic and amicable service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast with the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Ashley is from Canton and earned her Dental Assistant license from the Akron Institute and CDA-EFDA license from Stark State College. She enjoys spending time with her her husband, family, friends and especially her two dogs.
Tammy grew up in Louisville, Ohio and graduated from ETI. She enjoys baking, gardening, and taking care of her children and dog. She has been married to her wonderful husband for thirty years. Tammy has been part of our family since 2000!
Lindsey graduated from Dental Assisting school in 2008. She loves working with patients and being able to help them; giving the most positive and pleasant experience possible. When not at work, She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, Karli and Kase.
Anne grew up in Canton and graduated from Timken Highschool Dental Assisting Program. She assisted Dr. Michalos for 37 years. Anne enjoys spending time with her husband, Wayne, two children and grandchildren.
Kristen grew up in Tuslaw. She graduated from the Akron Dental Institute and worked with Dr. Michalos for 21 years. She is married to Jeff and has four children. She enjoys camping, reading, and being with friends and family.
Susie grew up in North Canton and graduated from The Ohio State University. Go Bucks! Susie worked with Dr. Michalos for 32 years. She is married to Steve and has 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. Susie enjoys biking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Peggy was born in Alliance, but grew up in Phoenix, AZ. She moved back to Ohio and worked as a CDA. She earned her hygiene degree from Youngstown State University. Peggy is married Lester, has two sons and six grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends- especially her grandchildren!
Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.
Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

I will never go anywhere else. I love Williams and Johnson Family Dental! I am always treated with such kindness, and I have never had my teeth cleaned so well. Everyone from the front desk, to the hygienists, to the doctors are so friendly, and when I've had problems come up with my teeth they are there to answer every question. I moved to California for 4 years and when I returned to Canton, there wasn't a question in my mind that I would return to get my teeth cared for here! Highly recommend!

Let's face it, no one likes going to the dentist. However, if you need one, this is the place to choose! Dr Williams Jr is awesome as is the staff that I have encountered. I am such a big baby when it comes to dental work and have had bad experiences in the past. I recently had some major dental cleaning of my teeth and repair of an upper back molar done at this office after years of neglect and fear of going back to a dentist. He took his time with me and was able to save my back molar without having to do a root canal and I had no discomfort at all afterwards and had very little to no discomfort during the procedure. He did an excellent job of numbing the area so that I would not be in any pain/discomfort. During the procedure both he and the staff were very kind, caring, and made me feel completely at ease, and always checking to make sure that I was comfortable. I would highly recommend them to anyone. My husband was so impressed that he is now considering going there as well since I had such an awesome experience. I feel blessed and so thankful that I found them. God definitely blessed Dr. Williams Jr and his staff with a great gift and I can't thank them enough!! The doctors and staff here treat you like family. I just can't say enough good things about this place!!

My family and I have been going here for two decades for all our dental needs. Dr. George Williams Sr and Dr. George Williams Jr are like family. They are excellent and caring dentists and they always make us feel comfortable. Such an excellent staff as well. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Tracy, Joe, and Tammy are the best. We actually look forward to going to the dentist!

I am a new patient to the dental group. I am highly impressed with how they handle things. Tracey Has been my hygienist the last two times I've been there and she is wonderful and very thorough. She also introduced me to the power toothbrush which has been a life changer. The doctors are fantastic as well and office staff very friendly!! I have been going to my last dentist almost all my life so it was big shoes to fill. They surpassed all my expectations and calmed my fears of the change!

I have always had anxiety going to the dentist and had bad experiences going. William's and Johnson Family Dentistry was recommended to me and I absolutely love them! Everyone is super friendly and there is no judgement whatsoever. Dr Tony and the hygentist we both calm and patient with me when I was a little nervous. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this group. I went to another dentist since I was a small child. Had an issue, they could not see me for several weeks, called Williams dental group, got me in same day, resolved my issue and I switched immediately. What a huge difference. They are so wonderful. I have switched my entire family to the practice snd I no longer hate to go for my cleanings. Thorough, ease, treated with respect, just like you are part of the family. My dad recently had an issue, his front tooth fell out, called and he was seen in less than 2 hours. Amazing. Not just a group of dentists and assistants. Truely a group of family oriented caring people. Love them. Love the personal attention you receive. And never feel like a number. Always greeted as if they just saw you even though it may have been 6 months. More practices need to model them to see what a practice should be. Thanks Williams and Johnson Family Dental.
