The lab ceramist who makes all our crowns is a person with over 20 years of experience whose lab is right across the street from our office. With his close proximity, crown modifications and subtle shade changes can be made in 25 minutes. We get the shade of your porcelain crowns and veneers to match with personalized custom shading.
Dr. Platt moved to Reno with his family when he was 8 years old. He grew up in this town and realized all the benefits of living in the Nevada high desert next to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Outdoor activities abound here and he took full advantage. Much time was spent sailing at Lake Tahoe and camping and water-skiing on the local reservoirs in the summer-time with his wife and 2 boys. Sports was huge with the family. Baseball and USTA Team Tennis occupied the free time. The Platts were big San Francisco Giant and 49er fans. He is an avid skier and occasional bird hunter. A newly found interest is float-tube fly fishing. Much time is spent with his wife and soul-mate of 35 years exploring, camping, hiking, paddle-boarding and fishing the Great Eastern Sierras.
The office participates in the Adopt-A-Vet Program where dental treatment is provided to military veterans at no charge and Donated Dental Services where those less fortunate can receive pro-bono dental work.

8:00AM August 3, 2022 In to Dr Platt's office for a thorough cleaning. Laura is usually my hygienist... and she was again today. What an amazing experience! Laura is alway friendly, is a master of her craft, offers good advice and is adept at answering any questions. I'm a "lifelong sissy" when it comes to visiting a dentist... the entire staff at Dr. Platt's office is amazing... every single person. Kudos once again to Laura! I'll see you in three months! Note to folks reading this review. Reno/Sparks has many good dental offices.... please exercise a smart choice for your family and give this group a test drive!

I was recommended to Dr. Platts's office from another patient of his and all I can say is I'm so glad I went! He is a very professional, attentive and a kind dentist that put lots of time and effort into your dental health care. Never did I feel my concerns were over looked or felt rushed in his office. The staff and hygienists have always placed emphasis on detail and attention to your needs. I experienced a slight tooth ache and upon calling with my concern, I was immediately booked the very next day. Needless to say, and unsurprisingly, after seeing Dr. Platt my pain went away within 24 hours. I highly recommend him and his office for your dental care.

Dr Platt is a Great Dentist and an even better man. I have had a lifetime fear of dentists but Dr Platt is the first dentist where I am comfortable and he is a great dentist!

Wendy is the best! As long as she is at this practice, I will continue to come to this office for my cleanings. Dr. Platt did an amazing job on a problematic tooth. Did not feel any pain during the procedure and very little pain afterward. He is by far the best dentist I have had in my adult life. Update: I went to see my hygienist for my scheduled appointment, who is the only reason I even go to this practice, and the obnoxious receptionist told me she wasn't there on Mondays. I told her, then I will need to reschedule. She says "on such short notice?", so I said "you put this on me on short notice. Wendy is the only reason I come here" So she tells me "the soonest I can schedule is June or I can put you on a list". I said "do what you have to do" and left. Not the best customer service.

I have been a patient with Dr Platt 25 years. He is the best Dentist that is out there. He is kind and caring person and he gives PAINLESS SHOTS... You can never go wrong with this Dentist. Once you try him once you will never see another dentist again....

I have been going to Dr. Platt's office for over 10 years now.. It is always a great experience. I highly recommend him and his staff !! Another dental hygienic appt today, and as always a pleasurable experience. Hygienist Laura is very thorough and professional. Wife and I both love Dr. Platt and all his staff.

Had a very good experience with Dr. Platt's office this past week. They really have all of the safeguards in place and have been very mindful about how to serve their patients in a COVID world. I have been a very big fan of this office, Doctor, and staff for years. My experience last week does not change but strengthens my resolve that you can not find better dental care anywhere! DDS Platt has been my dentist for 30 years. He is one of the last of the old timey dentists who actually cares about his clients and is always there when you need him. His staff is wonderful and a pleasure to work with.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Platt. My teeth were badly stained from a medical procedure. Chipped and crooked as well. He crowned them and now they are beautiful. Great staff and group of people to work with. The doctor explained was his plan was, how long it would take and every step along the way. I'm happy to say I have found a Permanent dentist.
