Your treatment will begin with a complete examination and a discussion of your wishes and expectations. We will offer options that provide optimum health, longevity, and stability as well as addressing your esthetic desires. We customize each patient's schedule and procedure(s) to fit their specific needs.
Holly, our dental assistant, is a graduate of the University of Alaska (Anchorage) dental assisting program. We value Hollys cheerful demeanor as well as her clinical skill. She is committed to making sure your visit is comfortable.
After receiving a commission as an Ensign at Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida, he served as a U. S. Naval Flight Officer for five years. He is a Vietnam veteran with both air and ground combat experience. After leaving Vietnam, he was the assistant director of SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) Training at the Naval Air Station, North Island, California.
He attended the highly-regarded University of Washington School of Dentistry and was selected for the Navy Dental Student Scholarship Program upon its inception, returning to active duty for his last two years of dental school. After completion of dental school, he served four years at the Naval Air Station, Barbers Point, Hawaii as a Dental Officer in the U. S. Navy.
Life Member of Alaska Fly Fishers (former president), Life Member Veterans of Foreign Wars, Life Member Harley Owners Group. Former member of the Eagle River Rotary (community service director), Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, and Joy Child Care Board of Directors (former president).
Small animal behavior and training; attending numerous comprehensive training programs in both small animal behavior medicine and small animal training. He titled numerous dogs in a variety of dog sports including agility, obedience, tracking, rally, and schutzhund. Dr. Evans trained and handled the first Alaska German Shepherd Dog to earn the AKC Versatile Companion Dog title. He is a member of the Animal Behavior Management Alliance (ABMA) and the International Association of Bird Trainers and Educators (IAATE).
Dr. Evans celebrated a high school reunion in Red Lodge Montana in 1995 by riding his Harley Davidson from Alaska to Montana and back. A memorable trip. He caught and released the world-record fly-caught Steelhead Trout at an unnamed river in British Columbia, Canada in 1995. The fish measured 44 long and 24 girth and was quickly released. The record held for over 10 years; an outstanding replica mount is on display in Dr. Evans office. Amateur outdoor photography has been an ongoing interest for many years. Many of the photographs on this site are by Dr. Evans. He recently completed a photo trip to Midway Island, renewing a fondness for Midway and its avian inhabitants from his Navy flying days. Dr. Evans is married, has two grown children, four grandkids, and two German Shepherd dogs.
Jennifer has been with Dr. Evans for over ten years and currently is our front-desk coordinator and office manager. She is also an experienced chair side dental assistant. She will help you with scheduling and navigating the current insurance melee. Our patients all admire and respect her for her competence, care, and compassion.

Dr. Evans and his staff have been awesome. I was new to the Eagle River area and looking for someone to trust with my dental care. Dr. Evans was able to solve my teeth grinding problem (had been an issue for me for 10+ years) which has been such a relief for me. They were seamless when working with my insurance, even when I had to switch over. Dr. Evans is friendly, they are all professional and trustworthy with my care. I don't dread the dentist knowing I get to see him and his staff. Highly recommend!

Dr. Evans and his staff are amazing. I recently had a cleaning which was virtually painless. Best painless cleaning of a lifetime. Also had a porcelain crown put in. Once again a painless experience compared to another dentist who was torture. I recommend this dentist to anyone wanting a great experience without a lot of pain.

We have had several dentists over the years (we move a lot!) and I can say without a doubt that Dr. Evans and his staff are our favorite. My husband is very picky when it comes to dentists and he's the happiest of us all! VERY thorough cleanings, extremely knowledgeable whenever we are having any kind of tooth pain or issues, and we've been totally satisfied with all treatments we've received so far, too (fillings, etc.) (My 5-year-old enjoys going, too!) HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

We have had several dentists over the years (we move a lot!) and I can say without a doubt that Dr. Evans and his staff are our favorite. My husband is very picky when it comes to dentists and he's the happiest of us all! I came in for some pretty extensive work, and definitely have had a fear of drilling and the dentist in general. The hole staff made me feel very comfortable. I am now trusting him to the dental care of my three children 6, 7 year old, and 10 month old baby. My 7year old just got done with A filling, and actually left with a smile! Dr. Evans was very thorough and had a steady hand. Very nice guy and I love his cowboy ethics.
