Dr. Bebrin received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees from the University of Connecticut. He later received orthodontic specialty certificates from the Harvard and Forsyth Orthodontic Departments. He also has a Doctorate of Medical Science in oral biology from the Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Gwendolyn Cugine graduated from New York University, where she was awarded a Presidential Scholarship. After receiving her D.M.D. degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1993, she completed her Masters degree in Health Policy at Harvards JFK School of Government.
Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of orthodontic treatment for adults and children in a friendly and caring environment. We accomplish this with exceptional communication, state of the art technology, and a supportive, motivational approach. Our office will work together with your dentist and other health professionals to deliver coordinated, multifaceted care regardless of the complexity of the orthodontic treatment plan. We are advocates of preventative treatment for preadolescent children to simplify orthodontic therapy and to head off serious problems before they occur.

Since completing clinical training in 1989, Dr. Bebrin has been active as a researcher, teacher, and as an area orthodontist in private practice. As a member of the American Orthodontic Association, he attends continuing education courses to stay current with the latest advances in orthodontics that will benefit his patients.
Dr. Bebrin has a love of orthodontics and a compassionate concern for his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time and participating in outside sports and activities with his wife, Dr. Gwen Cugine and his children, Michelle, Billy, Nikki and Lauren.

Since completing her postgraduate orthodontic training at SUNY-Stonybrook, Dr. Cugine has shown a strong commitment to continuing education and annually takes her staff to the national meetings. She is certified as an Super ELITE Invisalign provider, a designation given to the top 1% of Invisalign providers. In addition, she is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Northeast Society of Orthodontics and the Advanced Study Club of the North Shore. Her husband, Dr. William Bebrin, is also an orthodontist. They often collaborate to ensure their patients get the best possible care.
The patients at her office call her Dr. Gwen. She has a beautiful daughter with her husband named Lauren who was born in January of 2009. They are avid skiers and love spending time in Vermont. During the summer, they enjoy the sun and the sand at Good Harbour Beach in Gloucester.

Everyone in the office is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The staff looked into my concern, explained every part of the examination and measurement process, and was very helpful with answering my questions and concerns. I also appreciate how Dr. Bebrin explained each step of the way to me, and left it up to me to decide if I felt comfortable proceeding. This is a very well run, excellent orthodontics practice.

Quotes came in less than the larger, high- pressure -sales -tactics practices. Clean, professional, classy and extremely knowledgeable! Larger practices screamed red flags to me. This practice is a much better fit for us.

Dr.Bebrin and the staff are extremely friendly and put me at ease about going through with Invisalign. I advise anyone considering it or any work that involves shifting or moving teeth go there. I have seen many people suffer from inadequate treatment or online teeth straightening. Dr.Bebrin is an outstanding orthodontist and he won't sugar coat anything or tell you what you want to hear. It was nice to have an honest conversation about the realistic potential outcome from treatment. Again if you're considering this type of work go to Acorn or at the very least visit an Orthodontist, don't trust online ads or even regular dentists who aren't formally trained in orthodontics.

Everything at Acorn Ortho has been great. More than great, actually..Comfortable environment, friendly and professional staff, excellent diagnostics/mapping/product (Invisalign)...all was easy and I am totally happy with the results. As an senior patient, I was worried that they couldn't achieve what I wanted....turned out better than I imagined. Absolutely recommend for any age. Dr. Bebrin is terrific.period..

Acorn Orthodontics fixed my moms teeth and now my teeth are slowing coming to their right place. I've been coming here for 3-4 years by now and everyone was always nice and awesome at their work. If you're in the area and want to have a nice smile, definitely come here

I loved my experience here and felt that I was in great hands! Dr. Sahar was kind enough to fit me in the very next day after I found out I was having jaw surgery in 2 weeks. She prepared me for, coordinated, and worked with me during the whole visit. She's so gentle, which is always a huge plus. Their office staff was friendly, efficient, and VERY competent. Dr. Bebrin was really thorough and knowledgeable and I appreciated that he came over to personally see to my care. I'm really thankful these two Drs. are taking over my case :D
