Dr. Colburn, a native of Tuscaloosa, graduated from Holt High School in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in 1985. During his collegiate career, he was a member of the Million Dollar Band 1981-83 and a cheerleader 1983-85.
He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1990 and has been practicing in the Tuscaloosa/Northport area since. Dr. Colburn is a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has served the local Sixth District Dental Society well over the years, holding the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President. Annually, Dr. Colburn attends continuing education courses above and beyond the requirements in his efforts to provide his patients with the best possible dental care. Dr. Colburn has been married to his wife, Lori, since 1990.
They have three children, all graduating from Holy Spirit Catholic High School. Ashley, their oldest daughter, graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in accounting and works for Entergy in New Orleans. Their son, Jackson, graduated valedictorian from high school, Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi with degrees in PublicPolicy and Economics, and presently attends the University of Alabama School of Law. Their youngest daughter, Sydney, is attending the University of Mississippi pursuing a degree in Special Education. Dr. Colburn and Lori are active members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. During their spare time they enjoy traveling, spending time with their family, and their newest hobby-pottery.
Tracy has been with our office since October 2014. She will help you make financial arrangements and work with you to maximize your dental benefits. Tracy has worked in the dental field for over 15 years and attended the dental assisting program at UAB. She lives in
Kristy has worked in our office since 2013 and has been a dental hygienist since 1999. Her wonderful sense of humor will put you at ease as she takes care of your dental needs. She and her husband Greg have two children. Her daughter, Monica(Trevor), has twin daughters and a son. Her son, Brady(Lorena), has two sons. She also has her special pug, Peaches! In her spare time, Kristy enjoys staying fit, participating in obstacle course races, CrossFit competitions, and hanging out with friends and family.
Andrea has worked in our office for over 7 years and has been a dental hygienist for 25 years. Andrea enjoys making a personal connection with her patients and goes the extra mile to educate them on their dental health. She has 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren, and she is a PROUD Alabama fan. In her spare time, she enjoys watching the Tide, traveling, and shopping.
Terri was born and raised in Tuscaloosa and lives in Northport with her husband of 36 years. They have two children and six grandchildren. Terri has been in dentistry for 34 years as an assistant and hygienist. Terri has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Colburn for 28 years. When not working, Terri enjoys spending time with her family.
Stephanie is the newest member of our team. She has been a dental assistant since 2019. She looks forward to furthering her education and becoming a dental hygienist. Stephanie loves cooking and gardening. She is a proud LSU fan and loves GOD. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys reading, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with her loving husband and black lab Maggie.

I love my dentist and his staff! Sometimes I have to bring my baby with me and the staff is so attentive to her and will hold her until my cleaning is done. These women are saints! And Dr. Colburn is awesome too I guess jk he's the best! I have nothing negative to say about anyone there! Lovely group of people!

Staff is knowledgeable, kind, comforting, positive attitude, friendly. Dr. Colburn is skilled, knowledgeable friendly and his prices are fair. Office is clean, well organized, and patient centered. I have been a patient for many years and have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend his practice.

From the various appointment reminders, to entering the building until the pleasant conversation with the custodian when leaving, everybody has been friendly and gracious. Dr. Colburn's Team rewrites the script on expectations of a visit to the dentist's office. I'm thankful to be a patient and to feel as though I'm a friend to the staff.

Every time, without fail, I receive the very best in professionalism, and excellent clinical care in the practice of Dr. Colburn. He and his staff perform exceptional work and the atmosphere is very welcoming and inviting. My experience is always the same; exceptional. From the greeting at the reception desk, to the expedient check out, my experience is consistently from visit to visit. My hygienist, Andrea is very thorough, courteous and competent. Dr. Colburn is always friendly, personable and of course an excellent Dentist.

Everything about my visit to Dr. Colburn's office was 1st Class. An appointment at a convenient time for me, working around my work schedule. Friendly, helpful front desk. Comfortable waiting area. Called back by the hygienist less than 2 minutes after I finished my paperwork. Gentle, thorough tooth cleaning and x rays by his hygienist. ( I fell asleep) Dr. Colburn is always friendly, professional and thorough. No rushing or high pressure sales here, just careful, compassionate dental care. This is how dental visits should be. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area.

I use to be phobic going to the dentist. I needed nitrous oxcide before anyone could begin to work on my teeth, even a cleaning. Believe it or not, I now can casually read a magazine and actually remember what I read, before going back to "the chair." The space is relaxing, staff is friendly, pleasant and positive. They really care about how you are doing. Dr. Bill is so laid back it takes my anxiety down a notch. Don't get me wrong, I still need to make my 6 months appointment before I leave the office and if a needle is involved, I still want the gas.!

Dr. Colburn was the absolute best. I had an appointment with him and was referred to a oral surgeon, and not only was the front desk so helpful with trying to get me an appointment as soon as possible, Dr. Colburn personally dropped off a prescription at my pharmacy, and went to Walgreens after he finished with his last patient to get me a mouthguard that night. The day after my surgery, he called to make sure that the surgery went well and that I was feeling okay. He really cares about his patients and I highly recommend.

My visit for cleaning was great. Friendly staff. i was in and out in less that 40 minutes at 8am. Have used Dr. Colburn for over 20 years and have always been pleased with the service, staff, recommendations and treatments.

Every time I go see Dr Colburn and his staff it is a very professional and friendly atmosphere. They make me feel at home. They are always concerned about me and any way they can help me with my dental care. From my regular dental cleanings, exams, future appointments, billing and insurance needs they are always willing to help make things go as smooth and pain free as possible. There have been several occasions in the past where I have needed after hours care and Dr Colburn and his team have always provided me with friendly and caring service.

I've allowed other dentists attempt to 'practice' on me since Dr. Dudley Davis died in 1994. After 25 years of unnecessary pain and disappointment, I've finally found a professional that I can trust and look forward to seeing again. Truly a prayer answered!
