Dr. William L. Hurtt is the man who makes it all happen at Rochester Dental Care. Born and raised in Beaver, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, Dr. Hurtt followed in his fathers footsteps by choosing to become a dentist. After graduating from Allegheny College with a BS in Chemistry and acquiring his DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry, dentistry has become a big part of his life. He served as a dental officer for seven years in the US Navy, stationed in MCRD Parris Island, SC, the USS Coral Sea CV-43, and NAS Willow Grove, PA.

Dr. Hurtt has been a resident of Rochester since 1992, where he opened his current practice in the same office building its in today. Stop by and say hi to his wife, Lynne, who is the office manager, or ask about their three boys, Justin, Nate, and Aaron. Maybe even invite him to partake in some of his favorite activities, like golfing, gardening, or skiing.

Since opening the practice on May 8, 1992, Dr. Hurtt has changed office suites in order to account for his ever-growing technology updates. With over 500 plus hours of continued education, Dr. Hurtt is committed to providing the latest advancements in dental care with skill and knowledge. From adding Cone Beam imaging and high-resolution digital x-rays, to one-day restorations with CEREC CAD/CAM technology, he ensures patients are provided with the most up-to-date dentistry.

Even though he provides state-of-the art dental care, Dr. Hurtt maintains that the best way to achieve complete oral health is to form a lasting relationship with all patients and help them take an active role in their dental care. Like her husband, Dr. Hurtt, Lynne attended school at Allegheny College. She graduated with a BS in Biology and went on to attend Drexel University, earning an MS in Home Economics. For over a decade, Lynne has been helping patients transform their smiles at Rochester Dental Care as the savvy office manager. She enjoys working with patients to help guide them down a clear treatment path and assist them in making the very best financial decisions. Lynne likes being with patients throughout their journey in dental care. Its wonderful to see patients achieve their goals for their dental health or cosmetic goals, says Lynne. We love listening to patients and we truly care about them. We all understand that coming to the dentist is both uncomfortable and scary. We want to make them feel safe. We want to be partners in their care. Prior to entering into dentistry, Lynne worked as a home economist with a major food service company and fabric/decorator store. She stays busy at home caring for the couples three boys. Lynne also likes skiing, golfing, gardening, cooking, baking, and sewing.

Valerie was part of the Class of 2011 at SUNY Oswego, graduating with a BS in Wellness Management. She later went on to attend Monroe Community College earning certification in Dental Hygiene in 2015. She has advanced training in local infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification. Valerie is also a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association. At Rochester Dental Care, Valerie provides patients with comprehensive oral hygiene services and is a true advocate for oral health and overall wellness. One of Valeries most favorite things about the work she does is meeting new patients and addressing their needs to help them reach their oral health goals. We truly do our best to do best by our patients, offering a full range of options and recognizing the needs of every individual, says Valerie. We also like to have a little fun. Laughter is always good medicine. Outside of work, Valerie is passionate about traveling and taking on new hobbies such as salsa and line dancing. You might also find her enjoying the outdoors, taking in a concert, trying new recipes in the kitchen, perfecting her baking skills, and doing her best to stay fit.

Mary came to us after achieving her Dental Hygiene training from Monroe Community College. She also holds an Associates degree in Liberal Arts. She provides oral hygiene services and educates the patients on the best way to care for their teeth. She loves her job and her co-workers, and how caring the practice is to every individual patients needs. Mary always wanted to be in the dental field (since she was 6!) so she is the perfect fit for our practice.
