Dr. Sandridge is aTexas native from Sherman. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, followed by Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Immediately after graduation in 1985, he came to Plano and opened his solo private practice. He and Dr. William Nicholson founded WestPark Dental Associates in 1993 near the intersection of Coit and Park. WestPark Dental moved to its current location in 2005.
Dr. Sandridge is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and actively attends regional and national meetings for his dental growth and development. Dr. Sandridge considers dental education to be an ongoing process which enables him to provide his patients with the latest dental expertise and advancements.
In 2012, Dr. Sandridge won the Readers Choice Award for Best Cosmetic Dentist in North Texas, and has been recognized several times by the Consumers Research Council of America in its Americas Top Dentists award category.
Dr. Sandridge and his wife Terri are proud parents of three Razorbacks: Lesley, Mycah, and Carly and their dog Laney. In 2014 they welcomed son-in-law, Andrew to the family and in 2018 Jonathan entered the fold. In the not too distant future they are looking forward to Jake joining the family. Dr. Sandridge and Terri are proud grandparents of three grandchildren, AJ, Logan, and Quinn. They are members of Christ United Methodist Church in Plano. In his spare time, Dr. Sandridge enjoys being with his family, jogging, bicycling, golfing, and fishing.
In Dr. Thomas' free time, she enjoys watching and cheering for her kids soccer, volleyball and basketball teams, as well as bike riding, swimming and hanging out with their Chocolate Lab, Audrey and Belgian Malinois puppy, Gizmo. Dr. Thomas and her husband, Doug, live in Allen and they have two children: Abigail (16), Logan (13).
Trina was born and raised in Burbank, California. She moved to Texas with her family in 1998 because she felt like Plano would be a great place to raise their two girls. Trina's interest in dentistry began about 16 years ago when she started doing marketing for a periodontal practice. She felt most at home working with patients in the front office and has been helping on that side of dentistry ever since.
Kathywas born and raised in St. Louis, MO and wastrained as a RN, with a BSN from University of Tulsa. She has been married to husband, David, for 30 years. They have one son, Trenton, who graduated from Auburn University in May 2019, and now lives and works in Washington D.C.. Kathy, although experienced as a Pediatric nurse, chose to be a stay at home Mom and was actively involved in PTA and volunteer work for many years. After recently becoming an empty nester, Kathy decided to go back to work part time and much to our good fortune, joined our WestPark dental team. Kathy is a people person and has a love of bible study and fit camp with her church family. Kathy and David moved to Texas in 2003 and are proud to call Texas home. According to Kathy, she and David go by the Texas motto, 'we weren 't born here, but we got here as soon as we could!'
Lisa is a 1987 graduate of Texas Womans University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She worked part-time as a dental assistant while in college, which gave her confirmation that she wanted to go into the dental field to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. She has been a hygienist for 32 years, with 22 of those years at WestPark Dental (93-99 then 2003-present). Obviously she loves the doctors and team at WestPark. Lisa and her husband, Steve, celebrated 30years of marriage last October. They have 3 grown children, a daughter-in-law, a 2 year old grandaughter, and a grandson due June 2020. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with family, involvement in their church Church Eleven32, being outdoors, biking, and the beach (especially Barbados where her mom is from!)
Patti has been a practicing dental hygienist for 30 years and has been with WestPark Dental Associates for almost 9 years . She is a graduate of University of Louisiana of Monroe (NLU) and is a resident of Plano, Texas. Patti is married to husband, Kevin and they have two boys, ages 19 and 13. Between sports, competitive power lifting and playing the guitar, the family enjoys golfing and flying airplanes. One of Patti's personal passions is reinforcing good dental hygiene habits to the elderly and hopes one day to expand her schedule to include working in local nursing homes to provide patients who are unable to travel, proper dental hygiene care.
Ashley was born and raised in Texas, While attending college as anEnglish major, Ashley was introduced to her first dental job by her mom, who worked in the Orthodontic field for over 10 years. While working behind the scenes, she quickly fell in love with the pace and challenges that dentistry offers, as well as, the joy of being able to help patients feel confident in their smiles. Ashley received her RDA from the University of Texas, San Antonio Health and Science Center in December of 2011. Sincereceiving her RDA, Ashley has continued to advance her dental knowledge through completingadditional certification programs like, Nitrous Oxide monitoring, sealants, and prophylaxis.
Lily is a native Texan. She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Rowlett High School in 2013. Lily comes from a big family with four brothers and two sisters. Lily has one son, August, who is 7 years old.
She graduated from her Dental Assistant Program in September 2020, however, she started in our office during her externship and was a great fit with the team and our patients. Lily's favorite part of working in a dental office is helping patients reduce their anxiety and feel comfortable during their dental procedures.
Dr. Nicholson, one of the original founders and owners of WestPark Dental Associates, enjoyed many years at WPD building his practice alongside of co-owner, Dr. Sandridge. He was successful in that endeavor and today continues to be loved by all with whom he forged solid and valuable relationships with during his tenure. Upon retiring from patient care, Dr. Nicholson has moved behind the scenes to keep the infrastructure of WPD running. He is enjoying being an employee of WPD taking care of theirComputers, Compressors, and Air Conditioners etc. If it is Mechanical or Technology based Dr. Nicholson isthe one who keeps it running. He is also enjoying retirement life with his wife Val and his two cats andsays, it doesn't get any better than that.
