Dr. Grupp has been practicing general dentistry for over 30 years now. Before getting his undergrad degree, Dr. Grupp served with the Marines right out of high school. After receiving his degree from VCU-MCV school of Dentistry he began his career with the United States Air Force Dental Corps. Dr. Grupp returned to Charlottesville in 1993. He has four children. His wife Teresa is a dental hygienist in the office. Their daughter Sarah is working on becoming a dentist and looks forward to joining the practice.
Through the years, Teresa has been a constant presence with our hygiene patients. With over 30 years of experience, she has come to appreciate that every patient is different, everyone learns differently and with encouragement and skill development, William Grupp Dentistry can help you achieve your goals.

The best dentist in Charlottesville! Dr. Grupp always took great care and never pressured me into any unnecessary procedure. He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. So sad when I had to move, hope I can find this much trust and care in my next dentist in New York.

New to Charlottesville and found Grupp's from a Google search. I can't remember the name of the dental technician but she was the best technician I've had to date! Keep up the great work here!

Dr. Grupp is an incredible dental professional. His staff has great communication and he has extensive experience with difficult cases. I am havng some very complicated dental work done and Dr. Grupp has imoressed me more than any other dentist or prosthodontist I have seen (and I've been to a number of them.) Dr. Grupp's knowledge surpasses any other provider I have ever visited. I would recommend Dr. Grupp to anyone looking for a fabulous dentist who can do exceptional restorative, cosmetic, and endodontic treatments with extensive knowledge of occlusion which is truly hard to find. I wish I could give his practice 10 stars.

Have been going to Dr.Grupp for 10 years, and he and his staff have always been prepared, extremely sanitary, and kind. Very impressed with the care they took this week (during the Covid-19 pandemic) when I had my cleaning done. Teresa took great care of me and was very clean and efficient.

I've been seeing Dr. Grupp for 18 years and would never go to another dentist. The staff, including his wife who is a hygienst, are so attentive, respectful and just make you feel at ease. The office is the cleanest I've ever seen as well as updated equipment. My son had his first visit at Dr. Grupp's office and they did great with him.

Left 2 teeth with no filling. Feels like my teeth filled have plaque on them. Very agitated..assistant unfriendly. Never had an experience like this in his chair before Always kind.
