Dr. Stewart's dental practice has been offering dental services for the entire family since 1980. His specialties include preventive care, restorative dental services and cosmetic dental procedures. We provide comprehensive and preventive treatment at affordable fees with numerous payment options. The staff respects each patients time and endeavors to see everyone on schedule. We offer the latest technology and techniques, including nitrous oxide sedation and digital x-rays. Our patients receive comfortable, pleasant dental treatment from Dr. Stewart and staff members.

Dr. Bill Stewart is a Spartanburg native who chose the dental field because he always enjoyed working with his hands and helping others. His family dental practice, which he established in 1980, affords him the opportunity to get to know his patients and build longstanding relationships with them, while providing conservative, aesthetic dental treatment.
After graduating from Spartanburg High School, Dr. Stewart attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. and graduated with his bachelors degree in business in 1974. He went on to the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1977. He spent three years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. As a captain, the Army awarded him the Army Commendation Medal.
When he isnt treating generations of families in his dental office, Dr. Stewart might be found water skiing, snow skiing, playing golf or spending time with his wife. He also is an active member of First Baptist Church, having served as chairman of deacons and the church council. He also is a member of The Encouraging Word Broadcast Ministry Board of Directors. He is proud to have helped lead two major capital campaigns at the church.
Dr. William Stewart, a Spartanburg native, entered the field of dentistry to carry on the proud tradition of excellence that has been established in the office of William D. Stewart Family Dentistry in 1980.
In 2010, Dr. Stewart was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. He later enrolled in dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015.
As a dentist, Dr. Stewart Commissioned and served as a Captain in the United States Army. He served as a dentist on a Joint Base in San Antonio, Texas for four years. During that time, he was twice awarded the prestigious Army Commendation Medal for his efforts as the Patient Safety Officer in the DENTAC (dental care facility for active-duty military members), and for his excellent care provided to Active Duty Soldiers.
As an Army Captain, Dr. Stewart also worked closely with several notable sleep physicians and residents by assisting them as they treated patients who suffered from obstructive sleep apnea. This typically involved the fabrication of a custom dental sleep appliance. By working to find solutions for sleep apnea, Dr. Stewart and sleep physicians were able to ensure that the active duty servicemen and women were always healthy and ready to serve.

Dr. Stewart has been my dentist for over 40 years and has provided the very best care each visit. It is a joy that his son has joined the practice and is now Stewart Family Dentistry. I have just had 3 chairside veneers completed and my teeth are noticeably whiter and better shaped. This was done by the younger Dr. Stewart and I teased him that if he caused pain, I would have to tell his Dad about it. Needless to say, I am so pleased with his work as I have been always been with his Dad's. I am thankful for the care and kindness from this practice. Dr. Bill Stewart has been my dentist for almost 40 years now. Even though I moved away after I finished college, I still drive two hours one way to get to Spartanburg so I can keep using Dr. Bill Stewart as my dentist. It's worth it! My dental hygienists have all been excellent and when Dr. William Stewart joined the practice it increased the availability of high-quality service. Their offices are great too! Spacious rooms, each with a big glass window with a nice view, and what I'm guessing is top quality dental equipment. I've only had wonderful experiences with the Stewarts, and everyone in their office makes you feel at home. Hearing Dr. Bill Stewart humming happily as he moves from room to room to see his patients always helps brighten my day! I would recommend Stewart Family Dentistry to everyone.

I have been a patient for close to thirty years. They are compassionate and caring. I feel like they really care about me and my needs. They have worked with me when my son was in college and I couldn't afford treatment proposed by others and it worked. I have never had a difficult appointment with them!!

My family and I have used Stewart Family Dentistry for more than 20 years for routine cleanings and minor dental work. The staff have always been friendly and on the rare occasion someone in the family has a dental issue, Dr. Stewart has always provided us excellent treatment. My two children have grown up going to Stewart Family Dentistry and he and his staff have always made it an enjoyable experience for them.

I have known Dr. Stewart forever. And, although I travel some 220 miles (one way) to see him and Jackie and Patty , the whole staff is so worth it! I love these folks and will continue to call them my primary teeth docs!!!

Have always had my work done here but won't be returning after this morning. Made an appointment for fillings, arrive 20 minutes late due to car issues, only to be told that even though somebody after me cancelled they may not have time for fillings. But they will still do cleaning and x rays. So they will take your money, but not guarantee the service requested or tell their nurses not to talk to grown men as if they are their kids. Three stars for being exactly like every other money grubbing dentist on earth.

I have never had a pretty smile! I ran from pictures and hid my smile as much as possible! When Dr Stewart did some work on a coworker after an accident, I knew he was the one to help me! I went for a consultation with him and I knew when I left his office that this was what I had wanted my entire life! I had tons of anxiety from past dental experiences ,so I can tell you that if I can do it anyone can! His office was wonderful. They made me feel so at ease! I now have a killer smile and I look forward to every picture that comes my way! I never thought a smile could make such a big difference but it certainly does. Thank you Dr Stewart for helping me and making such a big difference in my life! I would recommend this office to anyone that needs dental care! Shout out to Amanda for being that special dental assistant that made me realize I could do it!!! She was by my side the entire time! Thank you all for your help

I am a dentistphobe. This practice is completely understanding. If you fear pain, I assure you that they numb very well. If your dental fear stems from claustrophobia, they do everything within their power to make you feel as little of this as possible. Both Dr. Stewart, his son, and every dental hygienist I've seen are the nicest folks. I highly recommend them.
