Dr. William Tinelli opened his practice in Watertown, NY in 1996. He grew up in Utica where he attended Utica College of Syracuse University receiving his Bachelors of Science Degree. He then went on to attend the University of Buffalo where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Tinelli is skilled in multiple aspects of the dental field from general to cosmetic. He has had extensive training, and taken many continuing education courses to enhance his dental competence. Dr. Tinelli is certified through the University of the State of New York to practice Dental Enteral Conscious Sedation.
Dr. William Tinelli enjoys living by the St. Lawrence River, clay shooting and gourmet cooking. He also enjoys traveling, especially to foreign countries to absorb their art, culture and cuisine. He has a big family which consists of his three beautiful daughters and his eight grandchildren.
Kelly has been working at the office since Dr. Tinelli's opening in 1996. Kelly is a integral part of the team and has a positive attitude. She is Dr. Tinelli's assistant and is very educated in many aspects of dental procedures. She is comforting and available to answer any questions patients may have. She enjoys spending time with her horses and also competes in barrel racing rodeos as a member of the NBHA.
Mary has been employed with Dr. William Tinelli since 2003. Mary is also an assistant to the Dr. and our Hygienist. Mary is a hard worker and is always willing to lend a hand. She has a very professional and kind manner with all our patients.
Katie is very involved in educating and maintaining all her patients oral health. She works closely with Dr. Tinelli to treatment plan every patient. Her compassion and understanding towards each patient is a wonderful addition to our dental family.

I woke up with extreme tooth pain and knew I needed a dentist fast. I did not have a dentist so I called around to several places that could not get me in for several weeks, then I called Dr. Tinelli's office who was able to get me right in and referred me to an oral surgeon the next day! Awesome job, and thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to see a first time patient. I was met by a kind courteous staff, clean office and friendly faces. I will definitely be going back. Outstanding job!

They made dentures for me. Never fit right went back they said couldn't do anything about it.

I have been to this dentist before multiple times when I was a child and had no bad experience but when I called today just to see if they took my insurance still. The receptionist Julie was very short and rude with me, every question I asked was responded to in a rude annoyed tone. This is the fist time I've made my own dentist appointment as an adult and I don't appreciate being responded to in such a rude manner by someone who's supposed to help answer my simple questions.

Can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was. I'm terrified of the dentist. Always have been. The dr and all his staff were kind and very knowledgeable and did everything to make me as comfortable as possible. I waited over 15 years to replace my fake front teeth because of my fears. They matched my other teeth perfectly! I'm so happy. But most important the dentist, dr tinelli was fabulous. So great. Thank you and thank you to all his staff for everything!

Can't say enough good things about this place. I've been going for a few years now and they've always been wonderful. I'm in and out in 25 minutes for a filling or a cleaning. I've never been a fan of the dentist and always had anxiety about going, even if it was just for a cleaning! Dr. Tinelli and his staff are all lovely and make me feel calm, even let me use my headphones while getting a filling done.

I normal shy away from anything dental but definitely recommend Dr. Tinelli and his staff, their all very nice and professional and if I ever have to get more work done I hope I come back to Dr. Tinelli.

Dr. Tinelli performed a root canal and injected the filler 1/4 inches past the top the tooth. This cause a severe abscess and my face had swollen up quickly. The pain was severe. Dr. Tinelli denied all accountability. DO NOT GET A ROOT CANAL FROM HIM!!

Friendly staff with a welcoming environment. Any questions or concerns were answered. Went in for a routine cleaning but was pleasantly surprised to have a thorough examination and any needed referrals!

There is not enough good to say about this office! My mother (Madeline S.) who normally hates the dentist loves the entire staff. She is always commenting on how wonderful the receptionist, Julie, is. They do great work on her teeth from a root canal to bridges. She has never had any negative issues and she is so appreciative of how caring they are. They always make sure she is comfortable and doing well after any visit. Thank you all for making sure she is happy and taken great care of! She is not an easy person to please, so I wish I could give you more than 5 stars!

In 2009, I got one root canal and two crowns on my lower left. A month ago, I went to another dentists office to get two extractions on those teeth and bone grafts so that I can get implants. The day prior, while at work, one of the teeth broke off at the gumline... crown, tooth and all while I was eating lunch. The other was shattered beyond repair under the crown and also needed to come out. Dr William tinelli in watertown ny did the original dental work that was faulty due to too high of a bite on crowns and cost me a lot out of pocket, not to mention tooth loss, which can never be fixed. No crowns should only last 8 years! I emailed him on the day that I went to the dentists office a month ago at the email listed on his website... but he never responded. No apology, not even the slightest acknowledgement. Think twice before visiting this chop shop. In response: I did not state that I just saw a dentist after 8 years. I stated that upon my most recent visit, my crowns from 8 years ago had to be extracted due to negligence. IE a bite that was way too high. As you yourself stated, there is no good reason for this to have happened... and frankly, i am appalled at your excuses and refusal to address my email. I see my dentist twice a year, for exams and cleanings. There was no decay at all. I am more than willing to give you my dentists contact information so that you can confirm all of this. She said that she would be more than willing to share my information with you with my consent. Feel free to respond to my email that you still haven't yet responded to. I will be awaiting your email response or phone call.
