Cosmetic dentist Dr. William Poe graduated from UCLA in 1983 and went on to graduate from USC Dental School in 1988. Dr. Poe has been in practice since 1989 and has extensive training in cosmetic, neuromuscular, and orthodontic treatment techniques. His dedication to his profession translates to smiles his patients are proud to show off. Dr.Poe was also voted Best Dentist Los Alamitos 2016.
Dr. Poe is committed to continuing his education so he can provide the most up-to-date treatments dentistry has to offer. He has taken courses with the United States Dental Institute for Orthodontics and the Straight Wire Seminars for Orthodontics (SWOS) and TMJ. In addition, Dr. Poe has participated in advanced cosmetic education courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute. Less than two percent of all dentists have achieved the level of education that LVI has to offer. Dr. Poe has also achieved Fellowship status in the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO) and a Masters in Orthodontics from SWOS.

Dr. Poe is a the best dentist I know. He is super knowledgeable in different areas of dentistry, especially TMJ disorders, headaches and people dealing with sleep apnea devices. I would highly recommend Dr. Poe to anyone looking for a friendly and compassionate dentist who truly cares for his patients.

Dr. Poe is a the best dentist I know. He is super knowledgeable in different areas of dentistry, especially TMJ disorders, headaches and people dealing with sleep apnea devices. Dr. Poe and everyone on staff are AMAZING! I was in such bad pain from TMJ that I could not eat or open my mouth much at all and within 2 weeks of treatment I was 60% better. I am still on my way to recovery but now at about 80% and I am so thankful for Dr. Poe. I have my life back. Also its a huge bonus that everyone in the office is super friendly and make you feel at home as soon as you enter the door.

Life changing results! I went to Dr. Poe's for TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) treatment. I was having daily headaches, difficulty concentrating, congestion, facial pain, ringing in the ears, clicking and locking of the jaw. My TMJ issues stemmed from having braces, from another dentist. Dr. Poe's treatment provided great relief and was able to bring attention to other contributing issues (like food allergies and muscle tension that was contributing to my discomfort). It's been about 6 months into my treatment and I've found great relief. Dr. Poe and his staff are very kind, friendly, and professional. I appreciate the convenience of text message verification for appointments. After a quick consultation, Dr. Poe explained the treatment process, which involved an orthodontic piece (very similar to a retainer). He even went out of his way to fit me in the day of the consultation to begin my treatment. He clearly explained the expense of the treatment and what to typically expect from my insurance company. They care about the total well-being of their patients and work to helped me regain a better quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Poe and his wonderful staff for TMJ treatment and recommend making a consultation with him if you suspect you may TMJ problems yourself. Thank you for all of your help!
