Dr. Munn is a past president of the Virginia Academy of Dentistry, a member of the Virginia Dental Association, and a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary. He has also been awarded the Pierre Fauchard Award for Dental Excellence and will be awarded the Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2017. In April 2020 Dr. Munn was accepted as a Fellow to the American College of Dentistry.
Dr. Nicole Lee grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Virginia Tech in 2015. As a student, she developed an interest in dentistry while volunteering for dental mission projects. Dr. Lee pursued her dream and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2019 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at University of Alabama in Birmingham the following year.
Dr. Lee enjoys educating and providing care to under-resourced communities. During her time as a dental student, she served as a Mission of Mercy Project coordinator and organized the 2018 VCU Jamaica Project. Dr. Lee is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for dentistry to the Munn Dental office and hopes to give her patients a comfortable and fun experience.
Rachel has been with our practice since 2006. She received her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from VCU School of Dentistry. Rachel loves building a relationship with her patients and making them feel comfortable with their treatment.
Shannon is originally from the Varina area. She worked with our practice several years ago and recently had the opportunity and privilege to join Dr. Munn and the Smile Team again. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from VCU. Shannon loves building relationships with her patients and making them understand their treatment options and want to return to see us. When she is not seeing patients, Shannon loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys vacations at the beach and mountains, fishing, festivals, and concerts.
Tiffany is from the Varina area and has been with the practice since 2000. Tiffany received her certification in Dental Assisting in 2001 and assisted until 2005. Tiffany recently returned to the practice in 2011, and now handles scheduling, treatment plans, and filing insurance.
Brenda is from the Waverly area and worked in our Petersburg location from 2009-2014 and is now with us in our Sandston location. Brenda has over 20 years of experience in the dental field and has worked as an assistant as well as front office. She works on receivables involving insurance and accounts. In her spare time, Brenda loves spending time with her family, especially fun outings with her grandkids.

My experience with Dr. Munn and his dental practice so far has been nothing but exceptional. Each staff member I've encountered is as friendly as can be, has a great bedside manner, and makes the entire visit pleasant. Dr. Munn himself is very experienced, knowledgeable, and caters to each patient's needs. I anticipate coming to this practice for as long as I live in the area- a great and convenient location for anyone living in Central VA!

Dr. Munn seemed nice enough at first. Went in for cleaning and only performed half of procedure. Billed full price as the were to busy to complete cleaning and wanted me to take off work again to complete job. Billing practices are awful and over charge. Found another dentist due to incompetence and poor billing. Too bad as he was local. Highly do not recommend. Don't mind paying just don't like them trying to advantage of me

Dr. Munn is patient and understanding - everything you'd want in a dentist! His office staff is top notch and always provides me with friendly service. Plus their office is conveniently located to most major highways which makes it easy to get to from all areas of town. I highly recommend Dr. Munn if you're looking for a dentist in the Central VA area!

Being a senior citizen, I've been to a number of different dentists over the years and have found my forever dentist with Dr. Bill Munn and hygenist, Rachel. Painless, effortless, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about my overall health and well being. The entire staff is friendly, efficient and engaging. Best dentist ever!

I cannot say enough things about Dr Munn and his staff. Upon entering you are greeted with a smile. They know you by name which means the world to myself. You are not just a number at Dr Munn's office. Very prompt with their service and care. The new building is amazing and some of the new equipment is very nice and hi-tech! I love the family oriented business and will continue to go here as long as I am in the central Virginia area. I would refer anyone interested in looking to make a switch for the better!

I have been seeing Dr. Munn since I was a kid and couldn't recommend a better dentist. As someone that typically has a fear of the dentist I always feel at ease with Dr. Munn. He and his staff always make time to get me in for an emergency visit if I need one and he has gone as far to meet me after hours or on a weekend to help me out. Even with his experience he has sent me to some of the best oral surgeons when he felt that is what I needed and always follows up with me to check on me afterwards, that is just the type of person he is, a family man and a great friend to all of his patients. There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Dr. Munn and his staff truly are!

I highly recommend this dental office. Me and my daughter went in for cleanings and exams and all of his staff were very welcoming and friendly from the initial registration until we walked out the door. Shannon and Rachel are both very gentle and did a great job . After our exams Dr. Munn thoroughly explained all treatment options and he is very down to earth. It was a very pleasant experience.

Dr. Munn and his staff are amazing. When I called to tell them my tooth was bothering me I expected to get an appointment a few days out. That wasn't the case with Dr.Munn . They made time for me that same day. You will not find a place that cares more about their patients.
